Love that it was tapas-style but larger portions- very cute for sharing and great food!
Excellent food as usual and great service again with Oscar!!
Awesome dinner at Two. All the dishes are simple and delicious, with great combinations of fresh ingredients
My wife and I enjoyed our visit. Our server was exceptional. The food was way above average. I had the cavatelli and my wife has the spaghetti. Really nice work on those dishes. We will be back. Hopefully to try the burger next time :)
Two was amazing. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a special ocassion or just great dining. EVERYTHING I ate was excellent.
Not one of my regular hangouts. The service was outstanding! They don't filter their water and you can smell the chlorine. This is the main reason I don't frequent this restaurant. About a year ago, I asked our waiter why they don't filter the water and he said it's because the establishment wants patrons to purchase bottled water. Not thrilled with the response. I assume that all of the food is rinsed and cooked with non-filtered water. Also, are the ice cubes in my cocktail unfiltered? The food is pricey, but I would still recommend this place (not highly) as the food is good.
Two is amazing. One of the best kept secrets in Chicago.
I was celebrating my 22nd wedding anniversary. My wife,my daughter and I really had a great time.
My boyfriend and I went to Two and loved our romantic night out. The food was fantastic, the drinks were delicious, and we had an overall wonderful time! Highly recommend.
Loved the variety and taste of everything we ate. Finally, a place that doesn't think adding "heat" to everything makes it taste good.
The chef needs to get over himself. We asked to sub a side starch for a vegetable on a dish and he refused. He wouldn’t modify ANYTHING. The place felt like a dive bar. The poor waiter didn’t even feel comfortable asking the chef to serve broccoli instead of potatoes with a fish entree. We ended up leaving disappointed. Will not go back.
A hidden gem, a must go to restaurant especially if you are a foodie.
We met friends and really enjoyed the shared plates and the service. The food and drinks were wonderful.
Love this place! Perfect for dates, family and everything in between
Amazing place to eat. Everything was delicious. We had the chefs tasting and loved every meal.
From the first time we went to Two (years ago), the waiters, bartenders, kitchen staff and managers have been perfectly attentive and extremely friendly - outstanding service without exception! We always feel welcome and relaxed, and have a glass of wine (nice selection of wines by the glass) before dinner. And The FOOD! We go for the food !! We share as many dishes as we can each visit in order to taste everything! Appetizers are so tasty. Croquettes are always melt-in-your-mouth, as is the grilled octopus (!!) every time we have it. Pasta dishes are fantastic, and well, Pork belly -- we always have to order two because neither of us wants to share that! Top fave (in the top five!) restaurant!
We have dined multiple times at Two and it remains our favorite dining spot in Chicago. You are warmly greeted by the owner and Oscar is a terrific server. We asked the owner for his top recommendation and he suggested the charred cabbage. We gave it a try and it was fabulous. We also had the grilled prawns, grilled octopus, and duck fettuccine which were excellent as well!
The food was too bland! Presentation wasnt upto mark
Always a great meal!
Some of the best food in Chicago at the best value. The service was exceptional, and the bartender knew his stuff. My favorite date night spot.
Great date night dinner for my boyfriend and I. We had the Chef's Selection and all of our courses were delicious. Would highly recommend TWO and hoping to return again soon.
Chose “Two” for after theatre dinner-someplace new. I had the walleye that was bland but not fishy. Potatoes chips on top???? My friend had the burger/fries. She asked for ketchup and was told the restaurant didn’t carry it?? She didn’t like the burger-ate a quarter of it.
No bread is served($9 on menu). More like a coffee shop atmosphere but not as cheap!!
Excellent as always. There were 5 of us for dinner. We pretty much had 80% of everything on the menu. Everything was delicious. Grilled octopus, prime hanger steak, PEI mussels, double cheeseburger, roasted chicken, curried cauliflower, bread with edamame hummus, duck fat potato croquettes (my favorite!), puppy chow, & honey cheesecake with raspberries. Delicious wines by the glass. Great service!
Wonderful Food and Service
Recently had a delightful dining experience at Two. I had bought a Groupon for a "chef selection dinner" of four shared courses (starter, seafood, pasta and dessert plus a bottle of wine). It was expiring within days so we were there early for dinner on Sunday. We started with a couple of their tasty cocktails -- I had the Lady T. (whiskey, sake, vermouth and cardamon bitters) and my husband the Eleven thirty TWO (bourbon, heering, rhubarb bitters and cherries). All four courses included in the chef selection were innovative and delicious. The bottle of wine turned out to be one of my favorite Zinfandels, too. We were both pleasantly surprised considering it was a Groupon. Oscar, our server, was attentive and on point, up to and including sharing plates and new tableware after each course -- on par with any fine dining establishment. Check it out. Street parking is fairly easy.
I’ve already told a couple friends about Two! Me and my husband went there for his birthday, I had previously bought a LivingSocial where you get the 5 course chef selection. The 1st course was bacon with cous cous and pesto, it was absolutely delicious! Second course was a walleye that was spectacular, my husband doesn’t even like fish but he thought this was the best fish he’s had. The third course was steak which was perfectly done. The fourth course was duck pasta which was absolutely delicious, it was our favorite dish, the duck was melt in your mouth! The fifth course was raspberry cheesecake which was good, especially the graham cracker crust. The staff was so friendly and informative! The host and the waiter were the best! We can’t wait to come back!
Super great! Like every dish! Excellent service!
Innovative menu and attentive service. Trendy farm to table restaurant with an unpretentious vibe. We had a great meal.
Phenomenal service, great food, very friendly and quick.
the food is all so fresh and delicious.
the service staff is very friendly and also helpful in explaining what can be made gluten free.
Food was very good. The space was small and even moderate conversation around us made the space very loud. There were four of us. We shared 8 dishes including salads, meats, seafood and dessert. The highlights were the Brussels sprouts and Walleye. Service was OK - there were long gaps between dishes of up to 30 mins (it took 2.5 hours to finish dinner) and there were long stretches where our server disappeared for a long time. The server also did not mention to us when dishes came with 3 elements (for our four-person group) - we would have liked to have added or modified our order if we knew that it would super awkward to share 4 ways. Overall: reasonable prices for very good food. I would recommend it for a small group that is in no hurry to get anywhere else that night.
Excellent as usual! New items on the menu-- grilled purple asparagus and grilled octopus with black ink --are yummy.
The bartender Graham was fantastic. Sit at the bar if you can. Food was awesome. Burger and panzanella especially. Definitely coming back.
Good, not great inventive dinning. Cocktails too sweet, as I’ve found to be a common issue. Food was inventive and tasty, but lacked a little in both conception and execution.
I've been here several times, and the food and service is always excellent. This time we were there for the Drinko de Mayo fest, and in addition to the usual fantastic options (walleye and brussel sprouts this time) there were several excellent Mexican options as well.
Excellent food and service!!
Urban vibe with large windows and solid wooden tables and chairs creates a homey, but casual atmosphere. Our table of 4 foodies loved it all but one dish was overly salted -- that was the only complaint. Well worth a visit and will go again.
Fun and an excellent meal!
Food was delicious and we had a really nice experience! Pork special was excellent!!
Two always delivers on great, creatives dishes and attentive service. The appetizers, homemade pastas and fish are fantastic. Two deserves to be on more people’s radar. I only wish they would improve the look of the dining room. It’s not bad, but a little plain and could use some candlelight / more ambience.
