Baked japanese eggplant

The best happy hour menu and prices in town. My first choice whenever out of town friends come to visit. Can't beat the service either. Worth splurging on the Chocolate Budino or the Torta di Ricotta dessert options even if you think you are too full - I guarantee you will not be able to resist finishing either one of them.
too expensive for the portions and quality of food. Waiter was passive-aggressive.
Have been here several times, and have always enjoyed it. During my last visit, however, the service was inexcusable.
Went to Uva Enoteca for restaurant week SF and it was very enjoyable
Food, service, ambiance nice, tho Noise level made talking almost impossible. Open table contacted me re: no show. I hope you have corrected that & given me the 100 points for my booking. We / all 4 of us honored our reservation. Wonder why the mistake.?
Nice spot for a date, not too loud, romantic-y, and not too pricey. We had very good service including good wine recommendations with a little tasting! Food wasn't spectacular, but good for the price.
Really liked it
Good food, nice service
The group menu is nice!
Food was not as good as I remember. The service was extremely poor and impersonal. I wouldn’t go back there again.
We had to wait 30 min past rez for table
Great food and wine topped only by their dessert offerings! Treated out-of town relatives. Looking forward to dining there again soon.
I love the intimate vibe at Uva Enoteca, and the pasta is quite delicious.
Very nice meal, and friendly service
I love this place! Will definitely be back. We went out to dinner here before the Nutcracker. It had a nice ambiance, was quiet, and the food, wine and service was outstanding. Thank you!
Overall great experience except the hostess was curt and not the friendliest.
There was a slight miscommunication/misunderstanding with the reservation timing, and the hostess was quite rude about it and made me feel uncomfortable, even after I apologized for the misunderstanding.
Food was really fantastic. Service was a bit lackluster and seemed stretched. Very noisy!
The hostess and bartender were extremely welcoming, which at times is hard to find. The menu os nicely varied and the food delicious. I would definitely go again and have recommended it to friends. Wine selection great - prices a bit steep.
Great food and good happy hour specials til 6:30!!!!
Fresh sophisticated combinations, uncompromising quality, attentive service, lovely ambiance and convenient location for events at Cafe du Nord. Warm and welcoming.
Food quality is excellent, from burrata to pasta to pizza. But food quantity is lacking, and thus value for money is moderate to low. Service was erratic.
Music was too loud - causing guests to yell which was very unpleasant
UVA is my go-to neighborhood spot for great wine, comfort classics and more.
Great neighborhood gem within walking distance of son's apartment-hooray. We were seated earlier than our reservation, very nice, at a warm table in the back. We began with 3 interesting cheeses and some delicious olives. Wine came in 8 oz sizes, great for enjoying during the whole meal, nice reds to choose from. Three of us just had to order the wild boar lasagna, since our family hails from the Bologna area and cingale is very well known there and different that anything else we get here. Very rich and very good. The fourth person got the kale pizza and it was pretty good. We will definitely be back. Good waiter, too :)
Very good creative and tasty food, nice attentive but not annoying service, tasty wine. Great place for a meal with a friend. A bit noisy but conversation is still possible. My second time, and will come again. Feels like a rare find in SF
Very romantic vibes when you first walk in. Dim lighting and most 2 person tables. Wait staff is friend and attentive but forget often. Wasn’t a rush hour so not sure how they could forgot someone of 1/3 I’d the tables there.
We have been coming here for years. It's a great spot for a nice casual dinner. We were there for happy hour which is also always great. The spicy salame pizza was super tasty. Our waiter was super friendly and the only thing I would say could have been better is the bread they serve with the cheese. It was super dry and dense.
Perhaps we ordered the wrong items. Both the octopus dish and baked eggplant with cheese were unappetizing. The little gem salad was ok but the lettuce seemed a bit wilted. The beet salad with ricotta tasted more like dessert and was cloyingly sweet. We were disappointed after reading such great reviews.
Great neighborhood restaurant. We've been several times and will continue coming back.
I love UVA Enoteca- every time I visit SF we always come here! The food is delicious, fresh and authentic!
Love it! Uva Enoteca is my go to place for fantastic and delicious Italian food!
We took a friend to SF to see Hairspray (it was fabulous too!). We made reservations for an early dinner afterward. Two of us had the arugula salad to start with and one had the baby gem salad. We all loved the salads! I had the octopus main (delicious!) and pasta and pizza were the other dishes. My friends loved their food as well. Service was great; the wine recommendation was amazing! Highly recommend this place!
