Amazing dinner with friends. All social distancing rules and safety measures were taken into account and we had a great time. Food was delicious

Wonderful location with lovely views. Dining room was well spread out.

We had lunch and enjoyed the soup/oysters and our mains of the wagyu burger and lobster roll. Finished off with dessert. Everything was done exactly as we wanted. Cocktails were excellent also.

Highly recommended. Beautiful setting. Gracious hosts.

Beautiful location and much needed respite from the city. The service was excellent and food was served timely. My husband’s lobster risotto was very good with nice chunks of lobster I suggest the appetizer portion as it’s quite rich. The snapper was good, but lacking someone in flavor. The tuna appetizer was very small. I thought it was somewhat overpriced but would recommend it if not for the setting on the Hudson alone.

We are delighted to have discovered this restaurant. We enjoy Sunday "date brunch," and there aren't too many restaurants in the area that have the right ambiance for a date. We were able to sit outside and enjoy a fabulous view. We were greeted warmly on our arrival, and our service was attentive throughout.

We were given two mini muffins to start. I gave mine to my husband since I am gluten-free, but he liked them very much.

I had the omelette, which had some lovely touches, including fava beans! Yum. My husband had the burger, which he enjoyed. My only complaint was that my roasted potatoes were overly coated with a very salty seasoning. Next time I'll ask for a salad instead, which is probably what I should have done anyway.

The prices are on the expensive side, but the menu is interesting, and I look forward to trying more of their dishes. We will definitely be back!

We’ve celebrated at Valley Restaurant numerous times, and each time is consistently enjoyable! The gorgeous view is the main attraction and I particularly like the vibe of Valley. Whether you want to celebrate a special occasion, or just in the mood to relax, meet new people and have exquisite farm to table food served by the awesome staff! It’s one of my “favorite” places!

It was nearly perfect! Beautiful setting, watching the sunset over the Hudson River valley, perfect food. Service was slow to acknowledge us and take our order. I recommend this place.....

Always an enjoyable evening out .... welcoming host, great service, delicious food, wonderful view inside or out, and nice and quiet so you can hear each other talk.

Service was borderline inept. Very slow, leaving glasses empty, asked how the salmon was when there wasn't any salmon on the menu. We were seated at a round table, with easy access for the wait staff and runners, yet plates were served and collected by reaching in front of me, in a wrinkled shirt. The food was delicious, serving size was appropriate, but the courses were spaced unevenly. Appy's were slow to appear, followed quickly by the entree's . It has been a couple of years since our last visit and unless there is an announced change to the management I don't see a third visit happening at the current price point.

Though we were late for our lunch for 8 we were welcomed and greeted with a smile. And what followed was a delicios meal and fun lunch. Great restaurant.

We have been coming to The Garrison and Valley restaurant for years- for everything from a casual lunch to family celebrations. I cannot say enough good things about all of our experiences- the staff is amazing, the food is incredible, and the views (in any season!) are unmatched. We have never had a less than stellar experience dining there, and continue to visit for all types of occasions. We have also been during the covid restrictions and like everything they do, they are top notch in ensuring a safe and enjoyable dining experience for all guests. I cannot recommend The Garrison and Valley highly enough- for an extra special experience you will not soon forget!

We had a Sunday brunch at Valley Restaurant this past weekend and everything about the meal and restaurant exceeded our expectations! The restaurant is beautiful. The service was attentive. Our waiter was knowledgeable, engaging and made us feel very comfortable. We were not rushed, and he allowed our party of 5 to sit and talk long after our meal was finished. The meal itself was wonderful. We will definitely be back!!

We came here to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary. It was our first time here and it did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in the door to leaving afterward, we received 5 star service all around. Drinks were excellent. Everything was delicious. We started with the Korean Short ribs, husband had the seared scallops and pork belly and I had the strip loin. Both dishes were cooked perfectly. For dessert I had the Meyer Lemon cake and the husband had the Chocolate Chip cookie a la mode. When our server placed the dessert in front of us we were surprised with a message from the kitchen written in chocolate on our plates of “Happy Anniversary!” We were so surprised. This accompanied by the beautiful sunset over the Hudson River truly made our evening out memorable. Thank you Valley Restaurant for a wonderful evening.

One of our favorites near West Point. Great menu, wine list and fresh ingredients. You won’t be disappointed!

We adore Valley. We make it our special occasion go-to restaurant. It’s quiet, romantic and the food is always fantastic. The staff is friendly, professional and knowledgeable and because they are only open Thursday-Sunday, you can usually count on seeing the same wonderful staff. It’s pricey, but similar to most Westchester style restaurants and the view can not be beat! Especially in the snow or beautiful summer months, out on the deck. It’s a best kept secret in Putnam County! I highly recommend!

Just had brunch at Valley Restaurant this weekend and I can’t recommend it highly enough! The food was delicious (we ordered the short rib hash and the coffee cake pancakes...yum), the service was wonderful, and the view is amazing. Perfect for date night or a weekend brunch! We’ll definitely be returning. :)
