Wonderful restaurant. Food always served hot and delicious. Wait staff knowledgeable.
Best local restaurant. Unfortunately they are either temporarily or permanently closed and will be sad if they don’t reopen. The food was fabulous and the desserts were scrumptious enough to die for.
Dined with a special guest.
We enjoyed two specials, halibut and salmon. The preparation was superb. One of us had the poached pear salad, also delicious. For dessert we shared the peach and filo with semifreddo. Oh my. What a treat. Our waiter was exceptional as well, providing great opinions and suggestions for options. I love the feel of this place. Cozy, orderly, funky. We had a terrific evening.
Once again - great meal!
Once again had a fine dinner of the special - Wild Scottish Salmon with spinach, squash and chocolate balsamic cream sauce. Perfect for the fall season. I will add that Freddy is an excellent server. Appreciate his knowledge of the menu, professionalism and the fun that he brings to dining at Verita.
Special dinner for a special occasion, food was outstanding
The food and service never disappoints. I always try something new and it's always good. It's my go to place, first choice.
Absolutely amazing in every way! The menu, the specials, the food, the place! Everything we had was delish! Perfection! Highly recommend! You will not be disappointed!
When I made the reservation I requested to sit upstairs. When we got there some one from the restaurant had forgotten to make note of that. The table they wanted to seat us at downstairs was right next to the kitchen where it was very loud and noisy so we opted to go upstairs, have a cocktail and wait for a table to open. They were very apologetic. The bartender was also our server. The cocktails were excellent and his knowledge of the menu helped us make excellent choices. It was my second time there and will definitely go back.
If you can get yourself upstairs it is a magical hideaway. My wife and I had the zucchini blossoms stuffed with goat cheese mousse, excellent, followed by a Pappardelle special with an amazing sauce, mushrooms and chicken that was paired nicely with a fun Cabernet. Will definitely be going back.
Everything was fantastic! We were celebrating our birthdays and our waiter came out with mini dessert complementary
We found Vertita to be charming, and the food was beyond our expectations from the appetizers through the desserts. The owner actually waited on us and provided interesting information about the homemade food, local ingredients and history of the restaurant. It was well worth the 45 minute drive to get there. 5 stars
Great appetizers and main courses as well. Wine was good and pretty well priced. Service was good and attentive. Only downside was the seating as I was on a bench type seat with a hard wall as back support. Need to take the comfort level up a bit given the prices charged. A pillow on the bench did not cut it.
We love Veritá. The food is always scrumptious and the seafood fresh. The mussels are an excellent appetizer and we order them every time if we are not enjoying the tasting menu. Monday nights there is no corking fee with 2 entrees so bring your favorite bottle of wine and enjoy! We brought a bottle we enjoyed from our trip to Italy. We are never disappointed. Owner Wendy is a gem and server Freddie is so knowledgeable and courteous.
Slow service, very loud and crammed. Waiter was nice and apologetic but the food was simply not worth the value.
To begin, we had never been to the bar upstairs, but arrived early and were directed there. The bartender was quite busy, but was nevertheless attentive, and the drinks were very good. We asked if our reservation could be changed from downstairs to the upstairs as it looked inviting. They made it happen. The four of us agreed on the tasting menu - the piccolo - and there was more than enough for everyone. The dish I remember best was the pasta with short ribs and butternut squash; and of course, the desserts (a sorbetto, tiramisu, and pana cotta) were delicious! This was a birthday dinner, and it was perfect.
This place never disappoints! Always fantastic food and service. My very favorite restaurant 💕!
Amazing food and great service. We will definitely be back!
How could I wait that long to discover this gem of Italian cuisine!!! Every single serving coming from the open kitchen was more splendid then the previous one. My husband’s Braised beef short ribs with scallops seared in the oven and finished with truffle au jus were simply majestic with its unusual combination of two perfectly complimenting each other flavors. My wild Scottish salmon also coming from the wood fired oven had a perfect slightly crunchy top layer hiding inside the marvelously melting in the mouth cooked to perfection fish laying on the top of the creamy-ginger sauce accompanied with roasted broccoli and sautéed spinach. Outstanding! The culminating point of this gourmet evening was Almond semifreddo, tableside flamed with chocolate rum sauce. Such a sublime desert,as a flying carpet, transports you directly to Sicily, where it was originated, with its rich almond flavor. Everything in this restaurant is made in house from bread to gelato and limoncello. The quality of our meal surpassed the price, a rare occasion in the restaurant business. Bravo, restaurant Veritá!!! We will be back soon! I highly recommend!
Very attentive and knowledgeable wait staff. Nice atmosphere. Owner visits tables to check on customer satisfaction in a very personable manner.
Meh. Perhaps it was an off night. Dined here under its previous name-ownership and it blew us out of the water. Finally made it back and was underwhelmed. Hopefully the kinks get worked out.
We were seated on the upper level, which is beautiful in a rather dreamlike way. The carpaccio was excellent, as was the dish with scallops (can't remember the name). The people with me chose the wild boar, and a dessert with ice cream and berries in a molded chocolate cup. Nice ambiance, attentive waitstaff, and overall a great time.
Had a great meal upstairs with family. Highly recommend the Zucani Flower app.
Waitress didn’t seem like she wanted to serve us because we are a little younger. We wanted more drinks and she kept walking right ost us. Tab was 150 but was exspecting it to be over 200 but bad service caused it to be much lower.
We all shared appetizers and entrees so we made our own tasting menu! Our waiter made great suggestions. We enjoyed our evening!
We went for a wine dinner. Food was excellent and the wine pairings were perfect. Wendy and Giorgio did a wonderful job! D and V
The food was excellent. Our table was on the first floor next to the kitchen and wait staff traffic area, so that made for a lot of noise. I'd like to try the second floor next time.
Fantastic scallop dish.
Power drinks and an attentive, genuine staff makes every visit a pleasure.
Service great. Good decent but pricey
Went there for a birthday dinner with friends was very good.
Fantastic place for a date night or special occasion. We should really come here more than once or twice a year.
Service was excellent all around. Food is always delicious.
My favorites are the poached pear salad with warm Gorgonzola and the butternut squash gnocchi. My husband had pasta with chicken and shrimp which he said was also very good.
Our favorite local restaurant. Have been many, many times and never had a bad meal!
Food was amazing! Flavoring was perfect. Good service & friendly staff. Not a fan of tables so close together, could actually hear the conversation next to us.
We were upstairs, and the noise was tooooo loud up there for me. Regardless, we would have come back on Sunday but you were closed!!
We absolutely loved it! The Mussels with bomba bread are amazing!
Wonderful dining experience. Wendy and her team are doing a fabulous job. Fabulous menu, kristi provided great service, Ernesto and his sous chefs are amazing cooks. Can’t say enough.
A delightful dinner with friends in the delightfully decorated second floor dining room. Excellent service, generous cocktails, nice wine selection and tasty food. The squash blossom appetizers are wonderful. Two diners had the excellent short rib/scallop entree which is uniquely presented. (A steak knife would have been appreciated, however.) the pasta with lobster declared outstanding. Many tempting desserts but we didn’t indulge...this time.
We look forward to returning for drinks in an attractive lounge area near the bar.
Noise level was a bit high but it didn’t spoil our experience. Overall, an excellent experience! We shall return!
A great meal every time! Looking forward to our next visit!
