Amazing Grigliato Misto Seafood appetizer.
Fantastic bar staff!
Great service and food!
A great, relaxing evening prior to a hectic Thanksgiving holiday.
Eggplant stack salad was delicious. Eggplant could have been sliced a bit thicker.
Will be back with other friends in the near future.
One of my favorite spots ever. Love the Red Schooner on the wine list
I had been there on a weeknight before and loved the vibe! But on a Friday night it was so loud that honestly it was nearly unbearable. I had dinner there with a friend from out of town ... bad choice! We could hardly hear each other. Good for them, it was packed! But wow the noise level. Note, the food is fabulous and portions generous, and the wine list is wonderful but a bit overpriced.
Been wanting to try this place for a while. Boy did I waste time NOT coming sooner! Wow! Was wowed from beginning to end. Service incredible. They are on you in a great way and know how to treat guests. The food was the real star. Bone in rib eye one of best we have had. Family all ate off it and was a bit jealous of my dish. Pasta incredible. The gnocchi was so fresh. The tomato vodka sauce holy cow we have had many this one is the best. Hands down. Best part a little slice of my childhood growing up near elmwood pm Armand’s was a place we went to often. I guess there is family involved in this place and they have some of the old recipes and serve the thin crust pizza. Next tome I’ll try that and report back.
Don’t waste time with other places. Just go and try it. You will love it and be back for sure.
Food was outstanding, service was attentive and fast (Lisa), will definitely be back! Don't miss the Tiramisu!
A bit loud in the lower restaurant. Bread given to all tables was cold and not very tasty. Entrees were delicious!
We always enjoy our food. Drinks are great. Lisa always makes sure we are well taken care of
Always great service. Always great food. Best spot in the South Loop.
Absolutely obsessed with this place. It will most definitely be my neighborhood haunt. Perfect for grabbing a delicious custom cocktail or a delicious meal with friends/family. They make an amazing vodka sauce and their ravioli is to die for. And very reasonably priced.
Welcoming environment, good local feel.
Had a 445 p.m. reservation and was seated immediately. Our visit was kinda of a mixed bag of good and so so. Our waiter was pleasant and efficient. Seemed to always be one speed and that was moving quickly throughout his serving area. Bread basket was delicious and garlic bread started the evening off nice. Split a Caesar's salad, huge and delicious. I prefer it chopped up more but my wife loved it this way. Ordered Calamari for appetizer, nice size order, very tender. Price was a little steep. I ordered the pork chop calabriese (sp), delicious, and wife ordered the Sea Bass with oven roasted potatoes. Fish was great, potatoes looked good, but the inside consistency was like mashed potatoes . I ordered a side of vodka pasta and it was so heavy with sauce and cheese I asked for less sauce and a new side . This was no problem and out came the new order. Too much sauce again. I want to enjoy the pasta taste and that can't happen when you over sauce it! Pasta was cooked perfectly thou. Had cannolli (sp) for desert and it was just average. One thing I noticed several times in that is that food orders were brought to wrong tables. Summary is we will be back, prices are reasonable, service good.
Good atmosphere and service !!
Had a friend visiting from France
Victory Tap is a hidden gem. excellent. You must try this place.
Waited at least 15 minutes after being seated to be greeted by a server.
It would’ve been 5 stars but for the bartender. We got to restaurant for our reservation- they were really busy and running behind so we went to the bar . Ordered wine. The bartender( male) was quite loud and boisterous with some people there at the bar. It took some women ( maybe manager) who came up to the bar to get us a drink. He never paid attention to us. Then when he was pouring the wine out of a little carafe he had used to measure with-he spilt a good portion all down the sides of the glass. He didn’t even pour more in the glass to make up for it despite it being 12$/ glass. Nor did he wipe the glass so when you drank it dripped on your clothes. Otherwise everything else was fabulous. Worth the wait. Had the nicest waiter. Great Italian food.
Came on Saturday night, Reservation for 7, seated at 730, entree came at 9
Got there early (6:10)for a 6:30 reservation they seated us and dropped of the menu right away. In the first 5 minutes the waitress showed up, welcomed us and dropped off menu’s. She came back in 5 took our drink order. 5 minutes or so she brought our drinks and took our order. So far so good. Appetizers came fairly quickly 20 minutes. That’s when I asked for bread the first time. The apps were good. Salad and grilled calamari. Had another drink and an hour later our entrees came roughly 8 pm. Spaghetti and meatballs and pasta and sausage in a oil and garlic sauce.
The room we were in had no heat. It was on the second floor all the way to the back. Every other table in the room was full and every other table also waited two hours for their pasta. My wife and several of the other people there were running the marathon the next day. None wanted to eat at 8pm. We made a 6:30 reservation because we wanted to be in bed early. The cold, the lack of concern from management and the fact that we waited 2 hours for pasta and the bill was $120. Bad experience over all. My wife’s portion was pretty small she want full. The bread did come with our entrees.
Huge portions. Very attentive service. Super loud and hard to hear
As always: wonderful service, wonderful food. Way too loud!
Great selection of wines by the glass and bottle. Lasagna, stuffed shells, ravioli and tortellini were all outstanding. Will definitely return!
What a great place. Food is outstanding. Staff are friendly and efficient. Nice wine list.
Caution - portions are huge. One small chopped salad is enough for 4 people to share as a starter.
Excellent food once again, never have been disappointed on a single menu item. Service has always gone the extra mile.
Food and service at this restaurant are great but the noise level is a serious detractor.
Food service was noticeably of lesser quality on this Tuesday night. It arrived lukewarm, not hot. A capuchino after the meal was tepid. This used to be a good restaurant. It didn't live up to its previous level this time. Is this an aberration or a cutback in quality?
We like this restaurant a lot, but I am not sure if our server, Kathleen, could have rushed us out any quicker. She never checked on us to see how we liked the food or if we needed anything else. Were were there to celebrate my fiance's birthday, which I noted in the reservation, and she didn't even aknowledge it. I would go back, but was disappointed with the service.
The food was delicious, the service was impeccable and the staff could not have been friendlier! Their homemade pastas are outstanding.
Excellent service & food !
Food and service are fantastic
Jaime / jimae the bartender was excellent! I requested a dish that was not on the menu, however has been offered before as a special at times, and he made sure the chef prepared it the way I like. It was delicious!!!
Really enjoyed the Pizza and Pasta. Service was very good. Nice beer selection. Our server was fantastic. If I lived in the area I would be a regular. Thank you for a nice time!
Service was outstanding, the food portions were generous and delicious The Victory Tap Team went out of their way to ensure an enjoyable dining experience. Access was successful for a scooter for a friend with limited mobility
pre bears game dinner - great spot!!
Great food great service unbelievable drinks
We had a wonderful dinner. Cesar was our waiter and he was fantastic! The food was excellent (the chef burrata was an amazing special... especially for my gluten free daughter).
Portion sizes were very large. First time dining there. Would go again to try other dishes. Middle of the road Italian
