The Fowlers Farm
A very nice restaurant. The food is always well cooked and presented nicely. The service has always been good. Fast but not in your face.
The food was exellently cooked, according to my husband the brocolli that he ate was the best he had ever had in a restaurant. They accommodated my mum who is in a wheelchair and went our of their way to ensure our table was suitable for her. Staff were friendly and polite.
The Food was OK, in the past has been much better.
The service was efficient, friendly and the room cosy
Went here for my daughters birthday meal it was very nice food very tasty and lovely fresh veg, desserts were really nice would definately recommend , service was very good and food was good value for money, will definitely be going back.
Don’t bother using opentable to make your booking with vintage inn they will treat you like a second class citizen and might fail to recognise your booking, this happened to us last Sunday. “Sorry were full, and despite you having a conformation we don’t see it. It’s because you used some 3rd party website, so we prioritise our own bookings in this scenario”. Nice....
Just don’t bother. Staff totally didn’t get the issue and were pretty rude. Clearly all bookings aren’t equal, and you can’t ever trust that you actually have a confirmed booking even when they mail you and confirm.
The food was very hot, and very good. A varied selection of food , however the vegetarian dish wasn’t available, but with the waitress we managed to get something sorted.
Poor service and possibly some of the worst food I have eaten, crab cake special was the worst crab cake I have ever tasted. Managed to get served a drink after 25 minutes of being there and we got there early so felt sorry for customers who arrived during the busy dinner period
We have always had excellent service, however we arrived at 1pm as requested, but
Our order Wasn't taken until 2.15pm . And we were meeting other people at 3.45pm,
Just about made it.
I can't fault the waitress service, and can only assume that there was something wrong that
We were not informed about. When we arrived.
This however will not put us off eating at this restaurant.
Excellent and friendly service for drinks and food. The quality and value of food and drinks was excellent and good value. Really recommended for any occasion
A return visit as I can not fault this place
Food very good as always
I booked in advance using Opentable but the staff had no record of this booking. Luckily they were able to find us a table straight away. So there must be a problem with their booking system, although I’ve used it before with no problem.
The roast was ok but the amount of veg was sparse. The extra cauliflower cheese was rock hard!! The waitress though was on the ball.
Gluten free advertised...not much.
Veggie optiins...even less.
We were very pleased with our waitress Victoria, she was very pleasant and ensured that our meal was on time.
Also I was pleased with the fact that I have a mobility scooter and you were able to find the right place and table for me, so that I could enjoy the good food and pleasant company.
Turned up after making a booking on open table and were told we had only booked for 2 people then told we would have to sit in the bar even though the restaurant was half empty and instructed to get a drink from the bar while we waited. 5 minutes later we were told we did have a booking and that it was for 3 people - no apology for messing us about. Then we looked at the menu and waitress came to take out order only to be told that what we wanted had run out!
Dreadful place - don't think I'd hurry back as some of the staff are just rude!
We have visited the a couple of time for a family birthday both times the food was very god and the service, will visit again
Roast dinner was ordered. 1 carrot. 3 tiny roast pots. All hidden under meat. Portions were tiny. Ordered side dish which came out after we had finished whole meal. (This was cauliflower cheese).had to ask for extra potatoes and gravy which was really salty. Price for amount was dreadful. It's ok if u dieting😅.service was slow and forgetful. Shame as pub was nice inside its self. Would def not go back
It was a good experience
Being in a wheelchair I found it easy to enter the premises
The staff were very helpful
The food was the best around.
We were pleased with the cost
Considering how busy you were we did not have a long wait
Food very good and reasonably priced the service was prompt and friendly , would go again
We meet as three friends every three months and have been lunching at Fowlers farm for about three years.Good food and always pleasant staff Definitely my favourite resteruant.
It was ok but we booked they couldn't find our booking then things we asked for on the menu had sold out, the chips tasted frozen won't be going back in a hurry
Limited choice for starters in the Special menu, main course of chicken was jointly judged not too good as the crispy coating was dry and hard to eat. Disappointing.
Dessert was fine.
It would have been nice if they had my booking for 7 people on mother's day that I had booked. It was embarrassing when we arrived for us. We had contacted them directly for our favourite table and this was noted either.
Helpful friendly staff. Delicious food
Went for Valentines and was surprised by the menu and the quality of the food. I've paid a lot more for food of this quality. Service was a little slow particularly when it came to getting drinks to the table. But that's my only criticism
Lovely meal, great selection. Good range of beers 🍻
