Best restaurant we ate at in Berlin. The chef is unbelievable talented and makes magic happen in her little kitchen. We split several dishes and everyone was A+.
Great litlle restaurant.. very special
I loved the place!
Come for oysters if you love them or delicious food. I loved to watch the chef cooking. If you want to talk quietly sit in the window or the side. If not mingle at the big table!
The service was soooooo slooooooow. We were lucky to start our evening there with almost no other guests around. For those who came later, and for our later requests, it took forever for orders to be taken and drinks to be brought (I'm not talking about actually bringing food, we didn't risk ordering anything more complicated than oysters). The staff is superfriendly and nice, but that's not enough, I'm afraid. I am definitely not coming back and not recommending the place to anyone, unfortunately.
The best French restaurant Ive been to in Berlin! I lived in Orléans for 5 years and in that time I learned what really good French cuisine is. The chef Margaux and the staff at VOLK really impressed us. We tried a variety of Oysters (Normandie, Isigny, Perle Noire, Saint Malo, Fine de Claire and Tsarkaya). All were amazing and came with good descriptions of each. We also had Foie Gras, Saffron Soup with Crab, Veal Paupiette and for dessert the Chou à la Vanille. Everything was divine. I already made another reservation!
This place is intimate and absolutely a hidden gem in Berlin Mitte. The staff is beyond wonderful and Chef Margaux is unbelievably skilled at her craft. Coming from a place where we love our seafood I actually felt like home.
The best place for date night
One of the best meals I have eaten in Berlin. I started with the Tsarkaya oysters which were wonderful. The waiter let me try several wines. They have a great collection and it was hard to choose they were all very good. I went with a Pouilly Fume. Next I had the Fois Gras and orange salad which was divine. For the main course I had the Sole Meunière. The chef knows what makes a great sauce! It is a small restaurant and during my dinner I ended up speaking with other guests and everyone who worked there. It was a fabulous night of very good food and making new friends. I will be back. Recommended!
Didn‘t meet our expectations anywhere near. 4 EUR for a fleshless oyster, frozen and thawed prawns didn’t taste fresh, the Aioli served with the prawns was not made fresh instead came out of a bottle. Snails were prepackaged and quickly thrown under a salamander (which was not even a proper salamander), waiter forgot the wine order and so on. If you want a jammed packed experience in a tiny little bistro with mediocre food and overpriced snail venue - go for it! Last time for us!
Delicious and high quality French sea food!
Talented chef Margaux cooks the langoustines like nobody else in town ! Great choice of vines and... last but not least, to be served and hosted by the performer Reverso adds a very yummy touch !!! Highly recommended!!!
Fine French dining, subtle tastes, fresh, a delight.
Great place. Wonderful oysters and wine. You don't have to worry about the quality for anything here. Its going to be top. Just had the oysters this time, but going to head back for other stuff on the next visit.
Usually I have to choose between good good and good ambiance, but here we had both!
Hands down the best Resturant in Berlin!! Amazing food and service. I had a truly wonderful time.
Great service , good food an nice flair . However, I've had better food for the price we paid. The service was super slow but we didn't mind because everyone was extremely friendly and the evening was fun . Would come back and recommend it to friends as well ... oh and awesome Champagne
