Vyne Restaurant & Bar
Fast service, good quality food, great location
Perfect place for lunch/brunch with friends. Great service and not rushed.
We were disappointed by the slow service and lack of attention. We had trouble even getting some bread. They were out of some specials by 645 PM. The food was served almost lukewarm and dry as if it was sitting in the kitchen for quite a while. The noise level makes conversation difficult.
Food, music, service excellent!!!!
Late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Excellent food, excellent service. Comfortable atmosphere. Will return.
New year’s eve dinner was fantastic - husband said it was the best steak he has ever had - we will definitely be back - looking forward to outside dining!
The waitress was very attentive. Our prime rib could have been served with Au jus sauce but otherwise was very good. Overall, we would eat there again.
Everything was wonderful especially the service. Like how you can order half salads.
Beautiful location, excellent service.
As usual the food was excellent. We had a very odd experience with ordering a bottle of wine. It took at least 15 minutes for them to bring the wine. We were never clear why, but we had intended to have a glass of wine as a predinner drink, and were unable to do so.
Food was good. Service was great.
Food was good but pricey for the quality. Not sure I would go back. Service was great though!
This was a nice surprise find on a visit from the West Coast
We have had great luck at Vyne in the past, however, last night's service was poor. Extreme delays in getting drinks from the bar, and even getting the wine list from the servant. Restaurant ran out of wine listed as a special for the evenings meal. The food was very good and quantities enough to take home for a second meal.
Service was awful. They brought us our appetizer, salad and entree at the same time. Food was cold when they brought it back. Had to ask for salt, pepper and cheese. Took forever. Food got colder. Did not have the wine we ordered. Not happy at all. Could not find manager to tell him.
Vyne continues to impress. Party of 5 for a pre-Christmas dinner and EVERYTHING was perfect. We love the way the restaurant uses the wood fired oven for items other than pizza. The wood fired brussel sprouts with apple shavings on top is amazing. All entrees were served hot and all to the perfect temperature. Our server Carla is amazing, we were at a very leisurely pace and she picked up on that quickly and let us order each course as we were ready. We will be back for New Year's eve!!
This was our second time there, the first experience was great. When reviewing the menu we noticed multiple menu items with pesto, we asked the waitress if it had pine nuts because I have a severe allergy to this and was told very casually "yes", with no we will ensure your food will be kept separate. I've been to many other restaurants where this is taken seriously by staff. My wife ordered the sea scallops as her entree, and first plate they delivered was not hers. Second time it was correct but the scallops were so heavily seasoned she could not eat them. When the waitress took her plate, which was barely eaten, there was no question "was there something wrong", just do you want a box. The whole meal it felt like we were a burden to the waitress. We were never even given a dessert menu. Finally, open table gives you the option to note if it was a special occasion, which I check anniversary. I'm not sure if this was never passed along to the restaurant, or if they simply didn't care. But why ask if it's a special occasion when it's never brought up.
Such delicious food! However, improvement is greatly needed in the cleanliness of the bathrooms. It would be better if men had their own bathroom and women their own bathroom. Gender equality in the bathrooms is clearly not working out at Vyne. Men leave the toilet seat up and there’s always toilet paper on the floor. I’ve been there three times in the last month and the bathrooms are always dirty.
Great meal and great service
We've been to Vyne a few times. It's a beautiful venue and a lovely addition to this somewhat rural area of Ct. Has a big city feel with great warmth. Service has always been pleasant, friendly and timely. Food is very good and menu is pretty varied with an Italian bent. One of our favorite restaurants in this area
Christmas dinner with friends and family Priceless
Good food and service.. great atmosphere
The service was slow and poor. Portions were small for the price and the food was completely covered in oil. The Service never asked us how our food was or provide enough silverware for dessert. A lot of money for a poor experience.
We opted to go out Thanksgiving instead of cooking..which was a great idea for a change. The menu was limited but choices for everyone. The appetizers and the prime rib dinner were amazing and the highlight of the day! The family style sides were also good. The down side was the grocery store rolls and the desserts which were uninspired and not very good. We left those on the plates after a few bites. The crab stuffed shrimp had no crab that we could see and tasted like it was frozen from a box. The other pet peeve of mine is asking for drink refills...which we had to each and every time...even with the empty glasses at the edge of the table. For over $40 a person for the set menu, I expected a little more..
Thanksgiving day was quite busy so this review takes that into consideration. The food was excellent and the waitress and wait service was very good. I would definitely return on a non holiday as their clams casino, which is one of my favorite dishes, were excellent.
Our family of four enjoyed everything and the holiday visit was a success.
Thanksgiving. Clams on the half shell fresh and cold. Calamari crispy with fried peppers, aioli very good. Butternut squash soup smooth and flavorful. Turkey was good and plentiful, loved the roasted Brussels, yams not so much. Relaxing Thanksgiving, good food and service.
SO LOUD!!!! Food was definitely worth it though from appetizers to dessert!
We had a lovely evening. The staff was very efficient and pleasant. The food was terrific. We will definitely be back.
Pricey but absolutely delicious quisine!
Would recommend with reservation...sitting in the room where the bar is located can get VERY NOISY. Hard to give an accurate rating for Vyne - my husband had a menu special, the veal chop which he said was wonderful, but expensive. Our friend had to send his onion soup back because it wasn't hot enough. His steak, good, but, again, expensive. My chicken parm was good - nothing out of the ordinary despite the review in CT Magazine. We would try it again if in the area, but would not make a special trip.
Great service but the best part is when you food co es out it’s hot not warm. Everyone I brought there they were amazed with the place, service and the food.
Beautiful Restaurant with great food and a very broad menu. We were there on a Sunday evening and while the restaurant wasn't overly busy the service was average at best. The waiter was not very attentive given how quiet the restaurant was.
Excellent dining experience. Great venue, good service, and excellent food. My wife had the short ribs and I had the salmon. We shared the fried calamari appetizer. They also have a good craft beer selection.
The food was quite good as was the service. However, the noise level got ridiculous. When we first arrived the restaurant was 30% full. When we left it was 90%. In the beginning patrons were able to hold a normal conversation. By the time we left people were literally shouting to be heard. Prices were on the high side so we expected a better dining experience atmosphere-wise. There are many very good restaurants in CT with comparable food so I doubt we we will go back
We went last night for the first time, so impressed with the ambiance, service was impressive and the food was delicious! Can’t wait to go again! Kudos to the Yimoyines Family! Bravo, Bravo!
Love the location and the atmosphere. Seating is comfortable, food and service were great! Can't wait to visit during the holidays!
Dinner with coworkers, party of 10, and it was amazing. The food was really good. Lovely service and atmosphere. There was also a band playing in the bar area and we were in the dinning room and the music was just the right amount of loud as we could all still talk and hear each other and still enjoy the music.
My first visit to Vyne and it did not disappoint. Delicious French onion soup! Salads are an ample size. Ambiance is lovely. the outside patio looked lovely.
great food ,atmosphere and service. A little loud need more acoustic sound damping.
