The pretzel and cheese was gross. The tap water and soda tasted really bad. Taco was OK. Service was OK. We will avoid this place in the future

It is an intimate place with a modern look. We enjoyed the outdoor seating as it allowed us to watch the planes land and take off. The food was very enjoyable while prices are moderate. They were a little weird about how long you hold onto a menu, however. If I want to keep the drink menu to get additional drinks for my date I should be able to. I promise I’m not going to steal it. That aside if you’re looking for a romantic date night this would be a great restaurant to choose! We will return for sure.

My husband and I were looking for a new place to eat to celebrate our anniversary. Many other restaurants were closed on a Monday night. We came across Waco Kitchen and thought we would give it a try. The idea of being able to watch airplanes take off and land sounded appealing. We were very impressed! The food was good, the service was great, and for a while we were the only ones in the dining area. There were not many airplanes to see, but the view was unique. We were also able to see the kitchen area and watch the chefs. If you go, ask for Jack. He did a fantastic job! We will be returning in the future.

One of the best kept secrets in Lakeland Florida. I first came to this restaurant on a recommendation in April 2023. I had such a great experience. I returned in October. The restaurant being located in the regional airport terminal provides great ambience as the sunsets are beautiful, and during the evening you can view the runway lights and planes, leaving and departing. The food is top-notch and the pairings are excellent. Kudos to the chef. The staff are warm and friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Will definitely be returning again.

Waco is one of the best restaurants in all of Lakeland. Extremely high food quality and it’s pretty cool to watch the Amazon planes take off while you eat. Do not be fooled, this place is amazing.

A hidden gem in Lakeland! Seeing the planes land and take off while enjoying our meal was a unique experience. The food was great, had the charcuterie board, ribeye, tacos, and tiramisu! Our server Peyton was great, came to check on us frequently and was very friendly. Will definitely be back!

Don’t let the location deter you. This is a great restaurant that just happens to be located at an airport terminal. Food is creative and delicious. Excellent service. If we pass through the area again, we would definitely return to this restaurant.

Waco is a gem in the restaurant scene in Lakeland. The dining room is well designed with great views of the landing strip at Lakeland Linder airport. Waco offers both indoor and outdoor seating on the second floor of the airport building. Chef is very creative and brings out some very tasty specials, two of which we had last night for dinner. We enjoyed the appetizer special of croquettas which were filled with just the right amount of heat and cheese with a very pleasant aioli dipping sauce. Our main course special was a seafood curry. It had plenty of salmon, shrimp and other fish. The curry was just the right amount of heat. We also had an amazing spinach salad which was enough for two people to eat. The serving staff is welcoming and engaging. If you've not been I would encourage you to go

What a surprise! The chef is amazing, with a range of dishes including some vegetarian options my wife really enjoyed. I went with the salmon and it was excellent. We shared the watermelon salad which had a really nice combination of flavors. Airport location was surprising but actually very nice views. Would not have expected food of this quality in Lakeland! Meal with appetizer and desert will put a bit of a dent in the budget but we thought it was well worth it.

Late lunch date. We sat at a high top with a great view of all the planes coming and going. Staff was pleasant and attentive. Food was presented well and delicious.

This was our first visit. We'd meant to go for a while, and as it was our anniversary, we decided to try Waco. I was not expecting anything much. This is Lakeland, after all! However, we were both seriously impressed! Our server, Mel, was friendly and very helpful. The food was AMAZING! Tasty empanadas and croquettes for our appetizer. I LOVED my grilled rib eye though was not so keen on the sides. The onion rings and sweet potato gratin were so-so. And my husband enjoyed his mahi-mahi. But the STAR of the evening has got to be the AWESOME chocolate cake! I travel a lot and have had the opportunity to eat in excellent restaurants in many countries, including Michelin Star restaurants. This chocolate cake was probably one of the BEST desserts that I have EVER eaten! It might have been our first visit but it will absolutely NOT be our last! Already planning our next visit!

The Flatbread appetizer, hamburger, fries and creme brulee were delicious. Our bar drinks were very good. The crab cake was not good at all, mostly breading and rather tasteless. TheTiramusu was a pudding with coffee liquor, also bland. The ambience was great. I may go again and try other entrées, but it will be awhile.

This restaurant is lovely. So nice to have a scratch cooking kitchen in interesting surroundings. Not looking out onto a car park or a busy road Planes were coming in and out The restaurant staff were attentive and informed and the seating is very comfortable. Also super plus is that you can make a reservation. Food was delicious with an interesting mix of salad/pasta and protein

Drinks were strong and food was great. I had the Grouper sandwich. It was good, but I would rather had just tarter sauce rather than the sweet tomato aolie sauce they put on it. The kids enjoyed watching the planes land and take off. Great evening dinner. Will definitely be back.

Great ambiance and the food is top tier. On this occasion, we brought out town town family & had the tacos, brined pork and the special for the day was Spanish pork taquitos with stuffed potato balls. This chef is on fire! This was our 3rd visit & we've never been disappointed. Staff is friendly & professional. Cocktails are a perfect pour. Looking forward to another visit.
