Very attentive and knowledgeable wait staff.
Great food and very cozy ambiance...
Walkers is amazing. We are so glad they are doing so well. Always a hit with friends and family.
Sister’s birthday and she was treated wonderfully. Ryan was our server and he was knowledgeable about the menu and portions and ingredients. Appetizers and entrees so delicious and desserts (Maine blueberry cobbler and the donuts) a perfect ending to a fabulous dinner. Substitute hyssop ice cream was really good.
Incredible service, food, & cocktails and the wine list is very well curated. I couldn’t recommend Walker’s Maine more, I’ve been several times and each time was as good as the last, this place is a gem.
We celebrated my husband's birthday with dinner on Thursday night this week. We had a table in the main dining room near the fireplace. It was so cozy and warm. Very quiet when we first arrived at 6, but became a little noisier as other diners arrived. Still a great place for a romantic special occasion. I had the duck and my husband had the pork chop. Both dinners were superb. The peanut butter pie is the best I have ever had.
Outstanding! Second time there and sat near fireplace. Nice ambiance.
Great Caesar salad and lamb brochette awesome. Dessert is donuts . I would go just for the donuts . Omg
My husband and I went for dinner to celebrate my birthday. The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and welcoming. Our waitress was very knowledgeable of the items on the menu and service was excellent. We started with the shredded broccoli salad which was delicious. I had the pork chop and my husband had the short ribs. My dinner was excellent, I enjoyed the sides (creamed greens, carrots , cipollini onions that came with the dish. My husband said the short ribs were the best he’s had and the mashed potatoes were decadent. We ended with a cappuccino and a dish of ice cream. Overall an awesome experience.
We love everything about Walkers! The food, the service, the atmosphere and the staff are amazing. Truly a wow experience!
Love the atmosphere and food.
Wonderful food and atmosphere. Eating by a fireplace brings a sense of warmth and comfort. The food was very good with starters and snacks to die for. Very nice server and overall friendly knowledgeable staff. Everything is wood fired so you need to be prepared for different flavors plus smell of wood smoke throughout the restaurant. Will be planning a return trip just to have biscuits on the snack menu and sit on couch by fireplace with a glass of Prosecco
We have had their pizza, pumpkin fries, and pork chop before. This time each dish was just as good as we remembered it. The new items on the menu pleased us. The short ribs were deliciously rich. The affogato was a wonderful way to end the meal. Ben and Amanda took great care of us. We love Walkers Maine.
Gorgeous meal. Attentive but relaxed service.
We drove an hour and 20 minutes to accommodate our son's request to eat at Walker's for his birthday dinner and would do it again! The food offerings make it difficult to choose, the service was spot on, and the chef/staff acknowledged their appreciation for our long drive. It was well worth the trip.
I don't think I would recommend Walkers to a friend. The idea of making a reservation for a restaurant is a turn off for my friends.
We eat at Walkers regularly, at least once per month, and have always an outstanding experience.
The pumpkin fries are amazingly delicious! We love this gem right in our neighborhood. Everyone we bring is always happy and enjoys the food and especially the French style service.
Justin Walker and Danielle Johnson Walker have well-earned reputations as gifted leaders in the restaurant business. Their latest venture - Walkers Maine - is the culmination of their commitment to the highest culinary standards in a welcoming, informal atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed the roasted whole cauliflower, the shaved broccoli salad, and roasted Shishito peppers for appetizers. My main course, wood-grilled Maine salmon was cooked perfectly and served piping hot. All of the desserts were great but one of them - pas de choux doughnuts - was so good it was unbelievable. If you want food made by one of the top chefs in the US, served without pretense, go to Walkers Maine.
This was the most amazing dining experience we’ve ever had. Every menu item was insanely delicious, the service was courteous and prompt, and the environment was warm and inviting with a low noise level.
Always a great experience. The servers are very knowledgeable about the menu and option. We both have celiac and require gluten free options. The staff took our need very seriously and worked with us to endure an amazing evening out. The food is truly fantastic as us the service. Thank you. We will be back!
We have certain dietary issues which the staff and kitchen were most accommodating. Enjoyed our dinner.
Will definitely go back.
My husband had the duck and loved it. I had the grass fed steak and wouldn’t recommend it. The mussels were very good and the donuts were fabulous!
Everything was fabulous. We were all in awe of the pizza, and loved the swordfish (moist and fresh) and gem salad. The wine list was top notch, and it had some reasonably priced wines that we love. The service was superb, as well. Portions were just right. It wasn’t too noisy at our table in the corner near reception, which was a great spot for a member of our party who cannot walk well.
My husband and I ate dinner at Walkers Maine to kickoff our anniversary weekend. They served delicious focaccia bread with a plate of olive oil for dipping to start. We ordered the mussels. They came in a delicious cream sauce with frites piled on top. We also ordered the shaved broccoli salad which was very good. We enjoyed our entrees - I ordered the salmon and my husband ordered the fire roasted lobster. For dessert we had the blueberry cobbler. It was bigger than I expected and very delicious. Our waitress even put a candle in it to celebrate our anniversary. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming, service was great, seating was very comfortable. I would recommend Walker’s to friends and family. We look forward to visiting again to try other items on their menu!
Walkers was very good. Crowded when we went but loved the interior, the serivce was excellent, very attentive. Loved the shishito peppers...huge portion. Wife wished the beets had a different flavor note w/ goat cheese or something. Lobster and salmon were both very good. Folks next to us got pumpkin fried should have tried those! PB Pie and Banana parfait were awesome dessets (but again wished we went w/ the donuts-they looked amazing! Good value for a high level of service. Will def go back.
Walkers is beautiful inside, comfortable and elegant at the same time. The service was beyond exceptional. The food was inspired, take-your-breath-away amazing. It was an experience we will not forget, and we will return.
Fantastic restaurant, as someone spoiled by the NYC food scene, I was impressed by the dishes. Highly recommend the Buttermilk Biscuits with Foie butter and the Duck!
Next time we are in Maine, we will absolutely be returning.
I absolutely love Walkers restaurant... the food is fantastic and the staff is so professional as well as helpful. I brought my best friend and her husband, and they lived it also. We will be back soon.
You can’t decide to go to Walkers last minute so it takes some planning ahead. T
lovely homey dining room with a nice fire in the hearth - noise level was just right, easy to converse at the table - the food is excellent with innovative takes on classics and some surprises (try the pumpkin fries or the shaved broccoli salad) - attentive service without being overbearing- a nice evening out.
This is one of my husband and my “Favorite Restaurant’s”!!! The food and service is outstanding.
Great experience and fine dining!!
The food is imaginative, yet classic seasonal. Went after show at Ogunquit Playhouse.
The pumpkin fries, which are fairly new to the menu, were just wonderful. The pizza, which we never ordered before, was also terrific. I love their duck dish. It was so nice to be greeted with a "Welcome back, " by the receptionist. Our waitress, Amanda, remembered us, too. And to put the icing on the cake, Danielle Walker stopped by our table for a chat. Walkers is my favorite Maine restaurant.
Enjoyed our meals, pork chop and duck. Dustin was our waiter and never kept us waiting. It’s going to be
a favorite of ours for sure.
For medical reasons, we are on a keto diet. Sadly we could not have the frites but unlike other restaurants, we were not allowed a substitution.
We had another superb meal at Walkers Maine this past Saturday night. The Caesar dressing on the Romaine salad was as good as any I have ever tasted. The pizza appetizer that one of the other couples had looked great and apparently tasted great too. Between steaks, pork chops, salmon, and swordfish all six of us enjoyed every moresel of our entrees. One of our group commented that her meal was the best she had ever eaten! To top off the meal, the blueberry cobbler and the sundaes were awesome.
Innovative food and well-crafted cocktails. we live locally and often recommend to visitors and friends. If you haven't been in to try the pumpkin fries, go soon!
Would love to see some cooking classes....
All four of us totally enjoyed our dinners! The entrees were inventive and well prepared with the right amount of seasoning. The salads were also unusual such as the shaved broccoli. Many items have a slight smoke flavor from the fire burning oven in the kitchen which we really liked. It's rather noisy so be aware its not a great place for conversations.
Fabulous meal, consistent every time. Great people and food - what's not to love?
