Willard Hicks - Campbell
The food, drinks, and service are excellent! Presentation of food is excellent
Arrived early and ate at the bar
Had a fabulous mother daughter how are you. The food was superb as well as the service. Kudos to all.
Great evening at Willard Hicks for steaks.
Our food was delicious! The server, Amanda was the best....and it was New Year's Eve. Loved that we could just order off the regular menu. Great experience!!!
Our server was awkward - quite phased by simple requests (the order of a Coke, a request for no seasoning on a steak). The music was too loud and intrusive. The glass divider by our table had a huge smear on it - very unappetizing. Our Street Taco appetizer (2 steak and 1 shrimp) was delicious though the onion string garnish was not hot. After our food arrived, my husband had to remind the server that he had ordered sauce for his steak. The NY and Filet and Risotto & Scallops entrees were well-cooked and delicious. The side of fries was uninteresting. The side of mashed potatoes was dry and not warm. Once we had our entrees our server seemed to be everywhere but at our table. After we were finished eating, we sat with dirty plates in front of us for at least 20 minutes without any attention from her. At this point three of us left the restaurant and my husband stayed to settle the check. 10 more minutes went by before the waitress noticed that the table was empty and cleared, and said she'd be right back with the check. My husband declined to wait further, presenting her with our payment. Perhaps we were not a priority for her, since we did not order any alcohol. We will not be going back, and will not recommend Willard Hicks.
Came in to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. He had the signature ribeye and enjoyed it. I had pappardelle pasta with short rib. It was good but quiet heavy. Pimm's Royal is delicious and would definitely order this cocktail again. No birthday dessert was offered to us even though I indicated when booking reservations that we were coming in for a birthday dinner. If you're there for any type of celebration, just notify your serve because reservation notes don't get read or acknowledged.
Loved it! Host was great. Food was incredible. Service was awesome. Will definitely come back
The Food was great. We were greeted as if we were regular diners. Carla Took great care of us. Thank you
So good! Eric our server was outstanding and honest when asking questions about the menu.
We have been to this restaurant many times and it seems that the service and the preparations of the food has gone down. I also requested for the private room for our party of 9 but I guess now they have put a minimum of $1000 to spend to get the room. Anyways my complaint was that we were seated at a spot close to the entrance and so when people come in and out the cold air comes in and it just messes up our dining experience. They also put the tables for another party pretty close to ours so it felt uncomfortable for our party and theirs. Also when our food came out it was just warm to almost getting cold. I suspect that the food sat for a while. Overall the food taste is still there but my party did not enjoy it due to the degraded service and food temperature. Hope that the business takes care of its customers, cause that what makes this place stay open.
We showed up on time-which was early (5:30). They had lost our OpenTable reservation. Because of that we were seated at a table, instead of a booth (which went unfilled the entire time we were there).
Food wasn’t as good as previous visits. Moreover, we sat, being cold, because they lost our reservation. Basically, my family was
punished because they couldn’t locate the rez.
Food was good, but my wife was expecting a tablecloth for our anniversary dinner, so I fell short in her expectation for ambiance.
Food is delicious. We will definitely go again and again.
Wait staff was excellent!
This was a company dinner for 6 of us. Important clients!
About three weeks prior to our arrival I asked specifically for a window table and that this was an important dinner meeting for our company
when we arrived they said sorry all the window tables are taken we already gave it to other people
then we asked for a larger booth in the back of the restaurant and they replied sorry we have a big party for that table
Then they cramped us into a small four-man booth which frankly ruined the night for us and they would not even complain one single beer for that inconvenience
overall the management here is rude, insensitive, and I would not patronize this place ever again. Shame guys!
The host was very welcoming. The wait staff was very attentive and accommodating. The food came out quickly and had good flavor. We tried the poke and kurobuta pork chop and both were delicious. Cocktails were nice. The room was a bit chilly so we sat outside as it was quieter and warmer. It was a good place to go for a girl's night out.
Very nice Steakhouse. Our server, Brie was exceptional. We didn’t have to “wait to be waited on”, but at the same time didn’t feel smothered by her. The food was very good. I will visit again when I am back in town.
I have been here multiple times but the service and food was just perfect this last time. Couldn’t have asked for a better server.
Birthday celebration and it was great, although the beef rib and mash was a bit under seasoned, the manager came over and welcomed our feedback. It was a lovely and very satisfying evening. Thank you for the hospitality AND the wine was really good choice!!!!
Great waitress and great food, after finishing dinner with business clients we had a couple more drinks after the table was cleared not long after we finished our drinks a hostess came to the table to inform us they needed our table. The hostess offered to buy us a round of drinks at the bar or in a nice way implied we need you to leave. We were driving so didn’t need another drink so the business meeting was cut short. Maybe it’s just me but I have never been asked to give up my table, maybe 476.00 is just a drop in the bucket for a party of 4 for your establishment but I know I will not meet for dinner here again.
The food and service were excellent. The price was fair for what we were getting. Was seated close to the bar, which is part of the main seating area, and I didn’t really like that. But it was definitely not something that bothered me the whole time. Overall, it was excellent. I will definitely be dining here in the future.
The cornbread appetizer was burnt. The dessert, cookies, were cold. Steak was good.
Upon entry, we were welcomed with mixed attitudes. After having to move around tables because of some rain leaking in through the roof, we ended up by a small table for the 4 of us. It wasn’t a smooth start, but only partially because of the leaking.
We got an excellent server (happy, knowledgeable and polite, not over the top) and were happy with our food. The dining portion of the evening was great. The presentation of the food was excellent and it tasted how we expected it.
Our reservation included a special occasion tag, no one noticed or asked about it. Not even a booth was saved for us. The ambiance was ok but with a surprisingly old school feel - not vintage / western but old school (greeter in pullover, scratched tables, laminated wooden-patterned wallls). There is nothing wrong with these, except that the feel didn’t match the food quality and especially the prices. This would be a fantastic place in a lower price category - or with a higher standard of organization and a bit of updating.
Wonderful restaurant in downtown Campbell. The bbq ribs are fingerlicious. Best giant burgers in town!!
Excellent service and the specialty ribeye and mac n' cheese were delicious. The shortibs were good but probably wouldn't order again, the blue cheese was a bit overwhelming. We had a fantastic server and very attentive to drinks and other requests. We sat outside which next time I'd prefer inside. Being outside on the sidewalk we had a lot of foot traffic coming by (people smoking nearby) as well as people leaving the restaurant lingered near our table which was uncomfortable. Overall, would come back again for the steaks and service. Next time I'll request to sit inside. Prices were very reasonable for a steakhouse.
Birthdays! Everyone enjoyed everything!
Steaks were cooked perfectly, scallops were tender and moist, and baked potato was jumping.
Whole family enjoyed it.
It's one of my favorite restaurants. Everyone was great. Only complaint about was that our waitress was busy with a big party so we got a slower service than normal. But she was fine and we didn't hold that against her cuz she was very nice.
Nothing that wowd me
It was ok, but not great! I feel like the service level needs to improve highly. When reservation was made it was noted tha it was a birthday celebration. We got a private room, which I tought was nice because the noise level was low for us and perfect. But upon arrival, my sister arrived first and had checked in, so as I arrived and approached the host (older gentlemen) as soon as I started to talk he interrupted me and said "you already got checked in", I then gave him a sarcastic HI because I would think his first words should have been hello and welcome. Sammy was our server and seems like the down energy was in the air, also gave us a very disappointing service, maybe she assumed because we were Latinos and I had instead of 6 adults, had 2 kids her tab would be less and didn't need to make an effort. Never offered appetizers or suggested cocktails, buy the time she came around we were hungry so went straight to entrees. She was very simple like not engaging at all, never asked if we were celebrating anything, which I was celebrating my birthday! Food was ok, we liked it. At this point the busser was the nicest guy, when he came to pick up plates he made eye contact, he asked how our night was going, if we needed anything, if we liked our meals...BOY I was expecting all of that from our server. When dessert came around. We ordered and i wish she would of asked as marked on reservation who's birthday it was so i could tell her mine and at least get a picture in that beautiful room with a candle :( but nothing. "So no upload to facebook for promo there" we still tipped her 18% as I am a great tipper and never like to leave less than that. But I think service could have made my experience for first time much better. Quality of food is good and place looks great but didn't think the price was worth the lever of service.
My date and I went here for our monthly date night. We arrived early for our reservation and waited for our table. After being sat, we ordered our appetizer and a glass of wine. The service was quick and attentive and our food came out in good time. The music and ambiance were funky and fun! We will definitely be back to enjoy the food and dessert again in the near future.
The place was pretty quiet when we first arrived and the host staff was friendly. We were seated at booth towards the front. Waiter asked for our drink order and apps right away and was very attentive. We ordered and the food came out without too much of a wait. Brother and wife shared the WH Chopped Salad which was very large and delicious.
My daughter ordered the Steak Burger medium and it came back extra well done, dry and a little burned. I ordered Street Tacos and (2 steak and 1 shrimp) but I received 2 shrimp and 1 steak, The waiter let me keep the shrimp taco and gave me another steak taco in a reasonable amount of time. We also order chocolate mousse for dessert which was very good and received 2 free birthday Cookies and Frozen Milk since we were celebrating 2 birthday that night.
The ambiance is great. This is a good spot to have a nice dinner and/or watch the game. My hope was that there would be more low-carb options at a steakhouse, but they seem to add sugar or flour to most of their options. Even the brussel sprouts had brown sugar. If you do not care about gluten-free or low-carb, then this is a nice place.
Delicious food! The ribeye was cooked to perfection, the poblano corn bread was sweet and savory buttery goodness, and the cauliflower was delish! $7 well drinks for happy hour were also a plus.
We enjoyed our meal and excellent service. The in-house DJ is a fun touch, but can be too loud for even cross-table conversation.
I made our reservation for 5 friends. 3 of us arrived together and I checked in and the hostess told me they had no reservation for me. I showed them my open table confirmation and the confirmation text. They had also called me the day before to confirm and I showed them the call log. They suggested we sit outside on a cold night, I said no. Hostess left to speak with a manager and was gone for several minutes. Then she came back and said there is nothing she can do.
Checked the list again, still couldn’t find me. Then suggested we sit outside again, still no. She said the open tables were all reserved and I reminded her that WE had a reservation. She left again. Came back again and said nothing she can do. She checked her list again and realized the other 2 people in my party had arrived earlier and were already seated at our table (they were seated by her!) so finally we were taken in to sit. This place needs to get their crap together.
Food came out cold 3 out if 5 dishes even coffe at end if dinner was cold. Waiter needs more experiebc
I used to enjoy this place but not anymore.
We went there with friends who are vegan, and who kindly asked if it was possible to get some veggies in lieu of the chicken that's in the kids menu (for their daughter). The waitress did not bother trying to ask someone at the kitchen if that was doable — she just replied "what's on the kids menu cannot be changed".
Well, turns out that the last time we went to Willard Hicks, our friends had made the same exact request, and they immediately accepted.
Veggies are on the kids menu, but they just come with some meat. Fries are also on the kids menu, with meat. Our friends just wanted veggies and fries. Not too hard right?
Anyway, the waitress ended up accepting their request, we had our food served about 20 minutes later.
Their daughter got her fries and veggies, along with some ketchup… but wait… that was SPICY KETCHUP. And by spicy, i meant REAL spicy, the kind of spicy you just DONT have a 2yo child try it!! They apologized and brought regular ketchup but oh god why in the first place!!!
My wife ordered the burger and ended up with an over-cooked patty (she asked for medium but it was clearly VERY well done… could even taste the charcoal).
Kids menu are supposed to come with a cookie as the dessert… we ain't got any (we had ordered 3 kids menu).
It's sad, cause I used to really like this place, but I feel like this is becoming worse every time I go there. Guess i'll have to find a different place that serves Delirium on tap now!
Great service and quality of food
