Only thing is that there were so many tables available but instead of giving us space and privacy they sat someone right next to us who was alone. Why if there was a table available two tables away from us. The restaurant was pretty empty, I would have appreciated some privacy for conversation. Please consider the space, give people privacy when possible!
First the pro's. Willard Hicks is a nice looking restaurant, nicely decorated with a great energy, like the bar and pub tables separated from the dining tables and the outside is great for socializing. The food is really good when it is prepared right. Have been there several times and when they are on it, the food is great. But it has been hit and miss. Con's - slow service, slow to take orders for drinks, slow to bring drinks, slow to come back and check if anything else is needed. Food is spotty sometimes great, but sometimes not so much. Ordered hamburgers medium well and they were very bloody. I mean this is a beef place and not cheap - should be perfect. I will think twice before I am back.
We were seated right away and that was it. No one one said hello, no water, no bread, no nothing. We sat there for 18 minutes waiting for the server. Another couple was seated next to our tale and the server attended to them 5 minutes after. We were very disappointed and left. I guess this restaurant don't need our money. We will not be back!
We were extremely excited to go here for the first time. After being seated it took 20
Minutes to be greeted by waiter. After that it got worse with waiter. He never checked on us and steak was way undercooked
For medium. We watched 2 other couples leave before food arrived because service was so bad. Extremely disappointed for how much it cost
Pork belly appetizer was melt in you mouth impressive.
When we arrived we sat at the bar and ordered two drinks which took 15 minutes to get. Then we were seated and the table for two people was very small, all the tables for two diners were set up where there were 4 in a row which was very crowded. You felt like you were dining with the other tables, you could hear every conversation they were having. The noise level was loud and you had to talk even louder so your dinner partner could hear you across the table. The food was good, little over priced for what you got. Service at the table was ok, had to remind server that we needed utensils even after our dinner was served. Wasn’t a real fan of this establishment, probably won’t go back.
Everything was very good Service was a little slow but to be expected it was Valentine’s Day.
Chicken was overcooked and dry. $9 for a sharing sized brussel sprouts my wife wanted, but I found them inedible. 5:30pm reservation, but never offered happy hour small plate menu. Birthday celebration yielded a cookie with a golf ball sized scoop of ice cream - wow...really, wow... We ended up paying $10 for a separate desert, similarly small and underwhelming. The service was attentive, but overall food kind of mediocre considering the prices paid. eh...not much motivation to return.
We arrived and at the onset, was surprised. Was pretty empty, maybe 3 tables in a corner filled, and we were brought to the next table adjacent the 3. The hostess climbed into the booth to grab 4 sets of plates (only 2 in our party, including bringing her feet(sole side up) on the seat.
We were greeted by our waiter who took our drink order, this was about 5:30. Our drinks didn't arrive till 5:50 or so.
We brought our own bottle of wine and the waiter politely uncorked it and brought us 2 glasses. He then took our order and we specified specifically bring the appetizer out prior to my wife's salad. A sort time later, the appetizer AND my wife's salad arrived. Waiter appeared shortly thereafter and asked how things were and we commented about our request with the salad to which he stated "well I told them to put a hold on it" as if it was not hie problem.
Meantime, wine still sat in bottle
Dinner arrived, wife ordered the sticky chicken, I ordered a NY Strip, medium rare. As server was leaving, we asked for a steak knife and a knife for my wife's chicken. He said we need to ask our server for that!
Flagged down a waiter and told him the story, he apologized and brought us some knives.
I finally poured the wine. Maybe I don't understand the etiquette / service, since we brought our own wine, do we pour our own wine?
Should have asked for a chain saw instead of a steak knife, quite tough. Waiter finally showed up, asked how things were and I commented about needing a chain saw fore the steak. Instead of apologizing, tried to turn the issue on me, well how did you order it? I said medium rare and he said he would advise the chef
Food was "OK", would have been better if baked potato was HOT and steak was tender
Jury is out if we will go back, quite disappointing for our first visit there
This was our 1st time there and not very impressed for the price. My NY steak was over cooked and very gristley and chewy. For a non crowded Wednesday, the service was less than it should have been. Should not have to ask for a water refill and then wait and have to ask a second time. Bottom line, the quality to value is pretty poor.
Music too loud. Woman who greeted us was rude. I had reservations, but she was still rude and abrupt. Tables too close together, tables small. Not much room for anything on the tables. Will not visit again.
Extremely good service very tasty food options and drinks happy hour is a must-have reservation not needed before 5 but recommended
Christian was our server - very informative, professional, cordial. Gave great input on menu options and accommodated my vegan options with ease. Ambience was great. It was a weeknight and probably quieter than usual so pleased that we were not flanked by guests as we would not have had much privacy along the row of two-person tables where we were seated. This was our first visit and we’ll definitely return.
Great dinner with friends. Food and drinks were delicious and we had great service. Seems like the kitchen and wait staff have really improved! Will be back!

Great menu and food. Our second time there and not disappointed. Great wine and cocktail menu too. Haven’t tried the desserts yet but I’m sure they are fabulous as well. Had the filet mignon dinner first time and the pork chop dinner second time. Absolutely amazing! My friend had the sea bass and loved it as well. I so appreciate a great restaurant and fabulous food. We had the baked Brie appetizer and it was amazing too. Looking forward to my next visit!
Always a great place....the food is great, ambiance is incredible and staff is always polite.
We were on time for our reservation and were immediately taken to our table. We did not receive menus or water until we finally snagged a passing waiter. No exaggeration, it was a 15 minute wait! This was an important business meeting and we felt as hosts that we had chosen the wrong restaurant. Our drinks and food came and they were very good except the cauliflower soup was not hot at all. We were reluctant to mention it at that point. Our waitperson had the unprofessional habit of touching one of the men in our group when she would come to our table. We will not return.
On arrival we were greeting nicley we gave our reservation time and were sat at a booth the drinks were great they seemed to have a very knowledgable bartender server was also knowledgable with food items and provided a great service
Food and ambiance were fantastic, only downside was having to wait for our table even though we had a reservation. Restaurant and service definitely made up for it though!
Overall, it was ok. Service was pretty slow. We all ordered dessert. One came out, strawberry cobbler, which was good, and then the rest about 10 mins later. The cookies and "milk". Awful. Cookies were so dry and over baked. Couldn't eat them. Service was kinda slow but our waitress was very nice.
We went on a Saturday, it wasnt that crowded around 6 but they still sat us next to (as in within 6 inches) a loud couple of people. No reason as there was plenty of seating everywhere. The waiter was great always checking on us and making sure drinks were filled. For appetizers we had the smoked brie and poke, both which tasted great and would suggest. Now for the steaks we ordered they both were a bit overcooked, I ordered a medium rare and it was almost cooked past medium. I would suggest ask for a bit more rare than what you actually want. We had the Brussels and green beans which both tasted fine. I will try this place in another 1-2 months to see if they can get the steak right.
Great girl’s night out spot! Drinks were fun, the food was great, and the service was spot on.

The food and cocktails are delicious and creative! Wait staff friendly, knew their products, and appropriately attentive. However, the building was COLD, resulting in two people in our party having to put their jackets on to stay comfortable.
Our server Christian was great! The cheese plate was very depressing, a pile of shredded cheese? That's not a cheese plate.
this restaurant tries to pack you in. we were shoulder to shoulder at tables for 2. then I was told if you want a 4 table top you have to make that part of your reservation. I will say the manger on New Years eve did end up taking care of us . the experience for a holiday event was less than satisfactory
Food was great but the service slow. We had to wait 20 minutes for someone to take our drink order. Appetizers came to the table before our drink order arrived. Bill came at the end of the night and it took 30 more minutes to have the staff finish.
a category for recommendation is "quiet conversation." you must be kidding. the sound level in the place makes that impossible. first thing i noticed walking in was the music is way too loud (for me anyway).
I love how the noise level here is not loud unlike the one campbell. Food is great service is horrible. They had good service on other tables except for ours. We waited for 30 minutes before someone gives us water. No one came to our table to ask how we are doing, if we want our food taken away and if we want dessert menu. I would rather go to Williard’s in campbell. Food and service is great there.
Excellent food and service! Can’t wait to go back. Ribeye was perfect and the paperdelle pasta amazing. It was the perfect way to spend Christmas Eve with my family.
1st time there. I’d go again. Signature Filet was undercooked. Had to send it back. Had a severe flavor of Smokey wood. Too much. Backed potato was undercooked a little. Appetizers were amazing! Drinks amazing! Atmosphere and server were great. Bartenders are too slow. I’d go again though.
We always receive excellent service and the food is always great. Love the ambiance and special touches!
We were sat at a table too small for our group, they forgot our drinks, messed up 4 out of the 6 orders, and we couldn’t get water refills to save our life!
One of the best filet mignon’s I have had. Perfectly broiled to my liking. The side of mushrooms was very large (they say the sides can be “shared” and that is absolutely correct). The service was a little “off” but I attribute that to the staff being somewhat young and not fully experienced. For example, my wife asked for some lemon for her water and the person brought it to her with his fingers. And, our waitress would respond to a request with, “Sure - no problem”. Not very professional for a high end restaurant. But, overall, the meal was quite good and we will return.
Food was OK, service was not so good. Waiter never came back to see if we wanted another glass of wine or if our food was OK. Took forever to get the check, even after we requested it. Front house staff needs training!
