We were seated upon arrival. Once seated many servers passed us by and never acknowledged us or ask to help us. We felt very ignored and was going to leave after another 5 minutes. And finally someone asks us if we been helped and then we finally got some service. The rest of the night went fine after that long wait other than few people who kept walking past us who were not customers or servers and didn’t have their mask on.
I don’t know why the service here is so hit or miss. Last night was a miss. It took so long for a server to come over we had time to figure out our entire order. Order drinks, app and steaks. The app came out before the drinks made it to the table and the coconut shrimp was burnt. Not sure how it made it out of the kitchen like. Then while we were choking down the shrimp our meal started to show up. They kept piling plate on the small two top and until I stopped him. I had asked him to take some plates away first. I could go on but I leave it there. The up side is the steak was well cooked.

I have dined at Willard Hicks before and during the pandemic and the service and food continue to deliver. It’s the safe choice for a nice night out.
It was a very nice place especially for a date night, the workers were very nice and were checking up on us regularly. The only thing is it was pretty cold that night and there wasn’t a heater by us but it was great other than that.
My wife and I arrived for our reservation 10 minutes early for outside seating ,Tables were clear but we were seated off to a corner with no heaters. We asked if it was possible for us to be changed but host mentioned that tables were booked. We decided to toughen it out and try to make the best out of our valentines date but we felt as if we were being treated differently heater were bounced around for other tables as we sat without one. 30 long minutes later we brought it up to our servers attention , thankfully he was able to transfer us to an empty table our host mentioned was going to be booked.
I really like this place. The food and cocktails are great. Service is awesome. You don't feel rushed or pressured to leave. Everyone is nice and not overbearing. We went here as our 'last meal' before the second shutdown and again for V-Day. Both times were great. Will absolutely go again.
Willard Hicks is always great. During these difficult times servers, wait staff and managers are doing there best working under conditions that are not ideal. The staff went up and beyond. I must acknowledge Lindsey our server who was a delight. Unfortunately, the couple next to us must not be aware of the COVID world and very rude, complained about everything, how things were served, etc. They were horrible and almost had this poor woman in tears. She handled it with grace and continued to be positive and upbeat to all the other tables although I could see how upset she was after this happened. Shame on the horrible couple next to us and high praise to Lindsday who handled everything with grace. She should be acknowledged.
Amazing drinks; the food and outdoor dining was delicious. The hamburger was excellent - it’s huge so bring your appetite. Will definitely be back.
First of all it seemed quite ridiculous that they wouldn’t seat my party of 2 until all parties arrived so I was left out waiting in the cold for at least ten minutes. When we finally were guided to our table next to a heat lamp we were so excited to only be told that they were no longer sitting people at those tables, so we were taken to a table with no heat lamp. Thank God I had a big coat on. Only minutes later, another party was seated at the exact table we were told was not available anymore. We decided not to make a big fuss about it since we both had big coats.
As far as the food goes, coconut shrimp was really good. My salad on the other hand was very bland and not very appetizing at all. My partner seemed to like her filet mignon. Drinks were just ok. Our server was really nice so no complaints there. Overall, I probably won’t be coming by back here again.
They did a fantastic job considering all the confusion of opening/closing of outdoor dining. Just wish they had more heating lamps. It was pretty cold outside.
Best hamburger ever! Ribeye excellent, too! Servers always amazing! Ambiance is good, but the heater was broken. Still a great date night with my husband!

Amazing food. The ribs were so tender! The Mac and cheese, mouth watering! My husbands steak was flavorful! Definitely coming back!
The food was fantastic but the outdoor dining experience felt a bit cold. Mainly because our table wasn’t directly next to the heater and we weren’t allowed to move closer due to distancing which is understandable. The food was definitely great though.
Really....serving “cold” baked potato not even hit enough for butter to melt and to ruin my event my overpriced boned-in ribeye was cold.

crab cakes are very good. short rib stroganoff is very good. one pound hamburger is very good.
We had a birthday dinner for a friend, it was 40° outside and Willard has kept the doors open while there was two tables on opposite side of the building occupied. Imagine eating your dinner in 40° weather inside of a building? Keeping the doors Open was a little extreme. They ruined a birthday dinner for us because we were freezing the whole time! We could’ve went to another restaurant that at least had heaters up. Ruined the whole experience. And the mashed potatoes had no flavor. Never again will I be going to Willard Hicks for any birthday Occation
On previous visits it has been much better. My friend could barely cut her chicken with the knife. I had the same dish I've had before and it was not the same. Very disappointed.
food presentation was not of quality for the price of the food. had to fight my food just to be able to cut the meat with butter knife for a steak knife.
Was not happy that the GM had to come to our table and lecture us while we are eating about the COVID 19 rules. Didn’t make us feel like we should stay longer after getting yelled at. Won’t be coming back for awhile
Despite repeatedly informing them that my wife has a severe allergy to garlic. They served us mashed potatoes with garlic. My wife tasted the potatoes and realized right away. When we informed them they confirmed the presence of garlic and then removed the potatoes. They claimed it was a mistake by the chef. Manager did come over to apologize.
Service was slow and somewhat belligerent given how few people were at the restaurant due to COVID-19.

Be careful when you order the filet mignon “signature style“. We had a party of two and we both ordered the fillet mignon. When ordering the server suggested their signature style fillet, however neglected to tell us it was twice as much as a normal fillet, coming in at $85 a plate just for the steak itself, not the sides. When we received our steaks we both were very disappointed with its flavor and had to return them (still not aware that the steaks were $85 each). I myself had to return the steak yet again as its flavor was still significantly disappointing and I knew I would not eat it. When receiving my steak the third time they had given me a fresh cut with normal seasonings which ended up being fantastic, but it was hard to enjoy because I had to eat alone and the rest of my food was cold. We will not be returning to this restaurant.
Food was very disappointing. Burned the corn bread appetizer, Pork belly was not cooked properly. It was chewy and tough, not succulent and soft, although the skin was crispy. shrimp added to my salad was undercooked. Baked potato was over cooked dry and tasteless. Asked for no sour cream on the potato, which they added anyways, took about 15 minutes to get a replacement. Service was OK, but left us with the impression that they didn't really care much if we were there or not. Atmosphere was rather somber indoors. Wish we could have eaten outside. Probably will not go back again.
Though it was distant learning and the ambiance was quiet, the server was amazing and the food was delicious. Would definitely eat here again.
The Abigail was deliciously refreshing. For Appetizers- We ordered the Crab Cake, but the Pesto Cheesy Bread Won. The Blackberry Glazed Filet Mignon was a Party in my mouth, he ordered the Ribeye with the Sizzling Shrooms which were also yummy.
Good Steak better than Ladera.
Walked in to a hot restaurant. Open doors (I know I know...covid) But other restaurants turn on the ac when its 94 outside. First impression was awful. Hostess had us read fill out initial several papers. (trying to keep it short) Again, I know different times with covid rules. BUT other restaurants we have visited have done this whole routine in a better manner. She wouldnt seat us unless we gave her an email even though we gave her our phone number and name. We were waited on fairly fast. Decided to get a drink and see how it continued. Also, we had to put our mask on everytime a waitress came to the table and keep the mask laying on the table??? Ordered a drink and after approx 10 min still didnt get it (there was only 1 couple there inside and 2 or 3 outside at 5 pm.) So we got up and left. We quickly spotted the restaurant across the street called Ladera Grill. We were seated promptly by a very nice hostess, had a great meal and amazing waitress. OH, btw, did I mention at the other restaurant the waitress was in another room next to our table drinking a soda from a carls jr cup and wiping the silverware down with a dirty rag! OMG!!!!

The food was incredible but we waited over 30 minutes to get our table even after making reservations. We then waited over 20 minutes for cocktails. We were there over two hours but only 40 minutes of that time included good or drinks.
We always enjoy Willard Hicks. The cornbread and the tacos are my favorite! And the SuzieQ cocktail. Yummy!
Willard Hicks always delivers! The food was excellent, presentation was incredible and service was fantastic. During Covid they developed a great outdoor area that is comfortable and inviting.

I had booked a reservation for a business meeting with my associates. Due to them living out-of-town there a delay of them getting to the restaurant on time. upon arrival the hostess told us that our reservation was canceled and we have to leave by 6:30. thankfully our server Daniela was kind and professional.
We were out for my birthday. During Covid you can’t really fault the ambiance anywhere but our table was right along the walkway to the main door and host which kind of ruined it.
Food was good but not fantastic. I would have rated it higher if everything hadn’t been drenched in Balsamic Vinegar. I’m not sure if there was a sale on Balsamic vinegar or if the chef comes from a Balsamic vinegar farm but it’s over powering enough to dominate the food flavors in my opinion making all the food essentially taste the same.
Service was great and our server was very attentive even though he seemed to be the only one taking orders.
Overall not a bad experience but we’re probably not rushing back anytime soon.
