Yanni's Greek Restaurant

We went on a Saturday evening right before the shutdown due to the Coronavirus. The restaurant had already taken incredibly responsible steps to remove tables so that patrons were separated. Even without the virus situation, Yanni's does not cram you into their restaurant which is so nice. Service was fabulous as Mike and Alex are always terrific and the food is delicious with something for everyone. We love coming her and feel like they really care about their customers!
Excellent Greek cuisine that is reasonably priced. Our service was a bit slow but we had an overall positive experience dining on a Saturday evening.
Excellent! The interior is very nice. The servers are friendly and helpful. And the food is excellent- high quality and delicious. We will definitely be back. Really great spot.
The food, service and ambiance was good. No specific complaints.
We went for my wife’s birthday dinner at 5:30pm. Service was good, but had to ask for water refills every time (it wasn’t busy). Food was good, but not as good as on prior visits. I had a salmon special which was small and covered in what was supposed to be a Greek lemon/cream sauce, but it tasted like lemon-flavored oil or butter and it made the whole dish a soggy mess. Spanakopita and saganaki were excellent. Other entrees were reportedly good, not great. We’ll give it another try probably.
Yanni’s was excellent. The food portions were large and the meals were relatively inexpensive. But the best thing about Yanni’s was the incredibly flavorful dishes. We kept exclaiming with each bite “this is so good.”
Food was rubbery and hard to chew. Very nice server, but understaffed and entree was burnt. Unlikely we will come back.
Always enjoy it!
The bread that was initially served was delicious; that's the last thing we ate that was,, unfortunately. I love avegolemono soup, but this soup was without the tang you look for from the lemon, which seemed to be missing from everything. The mini spanakopita were acceptable, though moderately greasy. I had the Greek lamb chops, which is one of my favorite dishes to order in a Greek restaurant. Unfortunately, they were entirely missing the garlic and lemon that characterize the dish usually. The potatoes that accompanied the dish had a fairly good flavor, but they were entirely too soft and greasy.
To top it off, our service was terrible. The older male who was our server seemed to be operating under the old wives tale that 2 women dining together don't tip well. He took exceptionally long to take our appetizer order, then never came back to take our entree order. We had to flag down another server to go get him. After we finished our meal, we literally thought perhaps they were going to gift us our meal, as we could not get the server's eye to bring us our check. He honestly seemed as if he couldn't possibly care less; most likely because he actually couldn't.
My sister and I were SO disappointed; we were really looking forward to an excellent Greek dinner, and what we got was a barely adequate meal with very poor service.
Delicious! Loved the lamb special!
Don't go on special holidays. Our server was good but the kitchen was not on their game. Our appetizer (grilled Octopus) was over 45 minutes late. And before it arrived, we saw the food server walk to four tables around the whole floor asking if it was there. Nothing other folks viewing our appetizers before it got to our table. At that point, we lost our taste for it.
My husband had a lamb dish and I had a fish dish and they were both terrific--one of the best fish in a restaurant I have ever had.
Yanni's is a great place for the Greek food venue! Lots of great choices and very well prepared!
We prefer to sit in a booth in the bar. It appeared there was no bartender that night and a party came in after we arrived so our server was occupied and the manager took over. It happens. The food is always excellent and everyone is friendly.
We didn’t care for the food it was slightly above average and they were out of a lot of dishes. I ordered the barbecue lamb and I ended up getting a plate of bones, very disturbing. The bread was cold and the wait staff lacked energy. We will not be going back. I must say the dessert was very good that’s the only reason I gave it 3 stars.
Good place for special occasions and family celebrations. White table cloth gives a traditional Sunday gathering feel. Lots of Greek specialties. Great lamb and ribs!
A nice evening dinner with a group of friends.
My biggest concern is the lack of parking. Especially handicap parking.
Yes, I know valet service is available.
Great selection of meals. Very nice place to visit.
Took a very long time to get water. I asked to have warmer bread, and it never happened. Server seemed to have too many tables. We sat a long time before our order was taken. Would like to see another vegetable option, without tomato sauce, like okra. I am gluten free and would have preferred a little salad, since I couldn’t eat soup. Reception was much nicer without the manager upfront.
Everything we ordered was very good and the service was outstanding!
Had a great meal with friends at Yanni’s! Our server was very attentive & the food came out perfectly spaced & delicious. Will be back again soon!
Appetizers varied-from excellent skordalia to mediocre Tzadiki. Branzino and lamb both great. Need better wine by the glass. Friendly service and fantastic general manager who substituted pita for bread for one of us who has sesame seed allergy.
We had a great time celebrating our parents anniversary at Yanni's. The food & service was excellent.
Sunday lunch with friends was wonderful as Yanni's was quiet and we stayed to visit for 3 hours! Staff were not rushing us out, food was delicious, service was top notch and staff very respectful.
Fantastic Greek food and outstanding service. The BBQ lamb was great
Great food and great service! We've been to this restaurant dozens of times and have never been disappointed.
The food was really seasoned exceptionally well. I was only disappointed that accommodations for special diets is difficult as sauces are already mixed into the food ingredients so you can not order a simply made vegetable for dietary purposes. I will go back in the future but know now that I’ll have to stick to a salad if I want a clean vegetable side.
Christmas Dinner. Excellent. Everyone had a good time as usual at Yanni’s.
Tremendous value and perfectly prepared food that is served by the best server who strives to make your dining experience enjoyable.
Absolutely love this place!!! Our waiter made us wait a lot, but lucky for him... it was worth the wait. Definitely check this restaurant out!!!
Great meal, great service.
Bad evening. New waiter in training. Our group was two ladies and I. Ordered fish and asked it to be boned. When it arrived it was boned at table for the ladies and then me. Mine was cold by time it got to me and was a very small serving. $25 with no salad. We’ve been there before and was much better. Price per food received less than average.
Excellent food. Excellent & friendly service. Great value. Great overall experience. Thank you!
Amazing food. OMG. Such high quality. George, our waiter was outstanding. Appetizers were the best. We had sever fish entries all outstanding and the BBQ lamb, out of this world. Can't wait to go back.
Great service, great food !
Awesome. Good food great environment
First of all I worked in this industry for over 10 years I’ve learned over the years that no matter what. you always always have a smile on your face never rush the customers and always get them what they want with a smile on your face. Well that wasn’t what happened with my husband and I when we dined at Yanni’s. Our waiter was, I guess stressed out from being busy. We were rushed when asked our order. My husband and I split a salad and the Seabass which comes with one side. It took forever to get our salad. Then after we finished our salad our waiter brought our side of lima beans which was supposed to come with the fish that we ordered. He said the fish will be another couple minutes and we said OK well that couple minutes turned into 30 minutes and then he comes back to us and says sorry about the fish there’s more fish orders before yours. My husband and I just looked at each other and didn’t say anything. Finally our fish comes and our waiter looks at my Husband and asked him would you like me to fillet your fish for you? My husband was so upset at this point. Of course we wanted the waiter to filet it. My husband kept his cool and said please do so. I asked the waiter if he can bring us some new lima beans since the previous ones were sitting out for so long and they were cold. he did not like that I asked him that. He did end up bringing the lima beans which were warm but my husband had to ask him for a spoon and he got really upset . His facial expression showed it. We were very disappointed in our experience because we really do like the food here. And then when he brought the bill he apologized about the fish and said to us there’s nothing I can do about it the Seabass it takes 30 minutes to cook. He never told us that. Had we known we wouldn’t of been so upset with him. And he could’ve told us that before he said your fish is on its way.
