Zia's Lago Vista
Beer cans were rather dirty. Flat bread was excellent. Meatballs were excellent. Chicken parmigiana was above average.
I love this place! I've never had a bad meal there, and they are so accommodating if you have dietary restrictions . And..you can't beat bottomless mimosas!!
Wasn’t open when I made a reservation
Great time. Service could be improved but overall it was fine.
Food was delicious. We ate inside instead of out and there were TVs which is never my preference. But otherwise it was wonderful.
Bottomless mimosa brunch - yes please
Great neighborhood stop! Awesome outdoor dining options! Would highly recommend for brunch and dinner.
fun easy dining experience , nice updates to restaurant. Great outdoor space etc friendly staff & comfortable seating environment.
Father’s Day dinner
Zia Lago never fails me! I’ve been twice now! Lunch with Emmit and then Brunch and I have to say I love the food and the beverages. It started off kind of rocky with one of the host, she kinda seemed bothered with our seating and she couldn’t find my reservation, but the other host or manager with long braids/locks came to my rescue and Brittany my server was energetic, honest, and knowledgeable taking everything to a better and another level! She checked on us frequently and made sure we had everything we needed! The food took a little time to come out, but when it got to the table it was at a great warm/hot temp fresh and freaking delicious! I have already told many of my friends in the industry to visit! I will be back again and again and bring others to enjoy!
Music on weekends is a bonus!
Thank you Zia and Brittney!
Our last dining out was at Zia’s in early March before restaurants were shuttered. We watched with alarm as it and other businesses were boarded up. But we were excited when we saw the plywood come down and the cleaning and new distancing arrangements being expanded into the parking area. This was our first dining out since early March and it was appropriate that we were back at Zia’s. Even with a limited online menu and different ambiance, we were happy to experience a little of our former life. Keep up the good work.
I LOVE Zias! Their $15 bottomless mimosas with an entree deal is amazing and their brunch entrees are delicious. I highly recommend this place!
Good spot. Excellent service.
I love the patio set up, and the live music really added a nice touch to a date night
I have been to Zia’s many times...and it is always good! The food is excellent and the service is great! George is our favorite waiter!!
Last day of school
I ordered the Linguine Pescatore and it tasted as if the sauce came out of a bottle and all of the seafood was overcooked and chewy. On top of the bad food, the service was slow and our waiter frequently pulled his mask down and did not respect our space.
The service was terrible. There were very few people in the restaurant and we waited for over an hour for anyone to come back and ask us if we would like anything. We finally had to get up ask for someone to help us. To make matters worse, at the end of our meal, the manager proceeded to scream and yell at his employees in front of us. We finally said, "check please"! Thery were out of everything. Ran out of the wine we ordered, only had one summer beer left. It was a mess. Totally understandable that everyone is getting their footing after being closed for so long, but the screaming was inexcusable.
Delish! I’ll be coming back for brunch!
I've wanted to try Zia's for years and because I was able to get a reservation this week, I figured it was as good a time as any. The restaurant is handling social distancing well, with tables spaced out, tables in their parking lot, and all floor to ceiling windows completely open. The food was pretty decent. It wasn't as good as I expected it to be, based on price points and # of choices available on the menu, but it was good food. However, my experience recently was in the pits. As a solo diner, I usually am fine with sitting at the bar, but in this instance, I had made a reservation, expecting that to mean I would be given a table. Instead, the manager was condescending to me and explained that because I was alone, he couldn't give me a table and needed it to save it for other future diners coming in on reservations, even though I also had a reservation. I was forced to sit at the bar. Again, not usually a problem but this time it was not what I'd wanted, since it was my first dining out experience since everything had started reopening. Removing the bar stools is a great socially distancing tactic for restaurants, but maybe when you have a solo diner, you could leave a bar stool next to the person. It feels very isolated and lonely otherwise. Later I noticed behind me a gentleman sitting by himself at a table. This added to my frustration for sure. Add to all this, I was not greeted by my server for at least 5 minutes. He took my drink order then later offered me bread. But then I had to prompt him to take my dinner order. A bit later I heard the specials being read to a neighboring couple at the bar by a different server. They sounded delicious and I probably would've ordered one of them if they'd been shared with me by my server. Altogether a disappointing experience and I don't think I'll be back. A real shame because it's an adorable neighborhood restaurant with a generally great ambience.
Service was excellent, however brunch was underwhelming. The lyonnaise potatoes were not all completely cooked and lacked basic seasoning, while the chicken and waffles had an unusual and unpleasant taste.
Had a great time ! Good job setting the outdoor space
Good value for brunch, and large patio allows for easy seating and choice between how much sun you want to get. Would recommend if looking of where to eat in the Lakeview area.
Outside dining with excellent service and plenty of time to enjoy our brunch. Everyone had different menu items and all the dishes were excellent.
Felt great to be out - they converted their parking lot into an extended outdoor patio: it was a perfect night out post Covid! Thank you Zia’s 👏🏼👏🏼
So happy to have Zia’s back for now! They were absolutely crushed as it was their first weekend of reopening, yet they still managed to keep the drinks and food flowing.
Great food, great help. Extra tables brought into parking area were little low cost but still good to have seating
So good to be back. Food was great..service was wonderful. Loved that the parking lot is now part of the restaurant. Hope you guys don't sell.
Zia's is our favorite local Italian restaurant and brunch spot. We really appreciate the precautions they are taking to keep us all safe during these unsure COVID times. The parking lot turned patio is fantastic and the downloadable menus are great!
Great service with friendly staff and prompt responses to all our request. They completely forgot my birthday request but seeing how we were the last table I understand. With 3 chefs at the table the stakes were high and you met them! Thank you!
Came here with a group of 12 for a birthday. Most of us did the bottomless mimosa deal at Saturday brunch.. and our waiter made sure that we had a full glass at all time!! Great deal for brunch, good ambiance, and good food!
Excellent brunch for an affordable price with friendly staff. They kept the mimosas flowing.
We had a great time. Sam took care of us and was wonderful as always.
Highly recommended for Brunch!
Good food and great service!
This place is THE place to go for their brunch. Fun atmsophere, great food, and service with a smile!
Wonderful place for brunch. Great food, $15 bottomless mimosa/bloody mary's. They unfortunately have a 2 hour limit and are very strict about so make sure your party comes prepared. The only downfall was our party was sat in the window area by the bar and it was super hot or the sun was blinding. Some curtains or sheer shades would have been helpful.
Nice atmosphere, decent service, mediocre food.
Would go for appetizers
Zia's is the best for a large group brunch! The bottomless deal is outstanding ($15 for two hours, ability to switch between mimosas and bloody marys, create-your-own bloody mary bar), they take large reservations (rare for brunch), the food is consistently delicious and reasonably priced. Cannot recommend highly enough!!
Our reservation was on time and we were seated immediately. We love the ambiance of Zia's. Our server was so friendly and accommodated special interests of ours so easily. We had a wonderful time, but it was quite noisy when we left because there were so many happy people celebrating there. Definitely will go again!
Always fresh quality food choices that are made with traditional flavors and care.
