Zia never disappoints! Food and service outstanding!
I’ve dined here several times. I always enjoy the food and last night no exception.
My only complaint was our waiter. We made it quite clear we were not in a hurry and the restaurant was not full. Our waiter kept returning to ask if we were ready to order. We finally ordered an appetizer and then he kept returning for our dinner order. He was very annoying. We usually tip 20% but just gave him 15% due to his intrusive manner.
The service really left a bad taste in our mouth.
Great food...great service...great location...we will be back
My wife and I were in town for the National Restaurant Show, Zia’s was recommended by the hotel. We sat at the bar as we usually do when it’s the two of us because we like interacting with the bar staff and other customers. The bartender was amazing, the food was outstanding and the customers were a great conversation. A must try if your in the area.
Jose our waiter was outstanding!!!! The food and Shrimp appetizer special was awesome!! Had a great time for our aunt's birthday!!!!
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Never had a bad meal — delicious food and great wine selection!
Large group for Mother’s Day. All of us enjoyed the service and the meal.
The meals were excellent and the presentation is that of a true Italian trattoria. The service was pretty good. The dissapointment was a table that looked right into the kitchen as the wait staff went in and out. Perhaps it was not expected because our reservation was for 8:15pm and I expected a better table.
That’s about as deep as I can go in finding a gripe, so it’s pretty pathetic, because everything else was awesome.
Quality Italian food with some unique offerings.
Service was great. We had a misunderstanding on what I ordered and our server corrected it without question in 5 min. Pasta was delicious! Will def return!
Initially sat us at a table next to kitchen, ( very loud, dark and dingy)....asked to move and was seated at a much better table. The Appetizers and bread were the only things that were good. Pasta very mediocre, the lamb was greasy, risotto bland, and it was loud and very crowded. We won’t be back.
My family went for Mother’s Day dinner. The food was really good and our waiter too. My mom is 82 years old and it was too loud and busy for her. You are crammed in there pretty tight. I think the reason the noise level is high in there is because they do a lot of groups/parties. There were at least three or four going on while I was there. It’s graduation season, Mother’s Day, communions and confirmations going on, so maybe that is why. But, I’ve been there before and the energy is high. Some people love that and others want a little more of a quiet dining experience. Overall, it’s a great neighborhood restaurant with great food.
We love Zia’s. Good food!
Warm inviting atmosphere. Crowded but noise level still allowed conversation. Fresh ingredients with sauces that were prepared with care and love It’s like you traveled to Italy for dinner with friends.
Wonderful as always! Made my favorite Chicken Diavolo even though it is not currently on the menu.
Food was good, took a little longer to be served. Have been before and plan on visiting again in the future.
Food was very good. Mussels were unusually small. Perhaps it's just the time of the season. Wine was good and reasonably priced. Great place. Valet parking is really good and necessary.
Way to loud plus they seated us next to their party room
Service was wonderful, very accommodating. Food was awesome. We had a Birthday with us and they really did a great job. In addition they called to confirm reservation and we were able to add on a last minute change
Everything was great except the bus boy spilling water all over our table, trying to grab our plates when we weren’t done and making us feel rushed and the same guy then knocked over our take home bag and it happened and made a mess.
we always love Zia's. Food is delicious
I always love Zia’s! Calamari and burrata salad were very good. The Walleye Pike was outstanding!
Great food. Calamari and Rigatoni were both awesome. Nice bar for a cocktail before dinner.
We love this place - a gem in Edison Park! Fresh food, excellent service, energetic atmosphere . . . a great night out!!!
Knowledgeable staff helped us navigate the menu. My wife cannot consume gluten. The server helped us identify these servings. Had additional specials that satisfied the wants of all. Will definitely return.
We did enjoy the service and atmosphere and the food was good, but I would expect better for the money.
We drive over an hour to eat here, great for birthdays, and everyday dining. Service is attentive, great wine specials, and food is consistently delicious!!!
The restaurant is very nice with white table cloths against exposed brick walls and dark unfinished ceilings gives it a formal industrial feel. We ordered the eggplant parmesan appetizer because it wasn't offered as a main entree. It was delicious and came with shrimp which was a nice touch. The entrees were very tasty. Use the valet parking since there isn't much public parking available.
This was ones great spot for family and friends, but it’s not the case anymore. Quality of food and service is mediocre at best.
We’ve had good food/experience here before, but not this time. Polpo was tasty but over-charred, tasteless except for the overwhelming chili flakes; braciole dry. The service was slow, except for when the waiter showed up in a rush. We could not hear each other at all - too loud for us.
What an incredible restaurant. Truly gets the Neighborhood Gem award. This was our first time. For us, this restaurant isn't convenient but that won't matter in the future I hope to become a regular. As far as what to eat? I don't think you can go wrong.
Anniversary dinner. The food was excellent, the service was great and our waitress (Cheryl, I believe) was exceptional!
Never a bad meal. We Love Zia’s it’s always one of our go to’s
Zia's is our go-to place. Never had a bad or even mediocre meal here - always outstanding and always something interesting on their specials menu!
I have always enjoyed my meals at Zia's - this Friday was especially phenomenal - both the shrimp stuffed poblano pepper and their walleye dinner on their 'specials' were outstanding! One thing I must say, I was disappointed when I called ahead to ask what their 'specials' were for the day and the guy who answered told me to look on their website; when I asked if he could just tell me since I am in my car, he sighed...I found this to be uncharacteristic of their usually good customer service.
Excellent food. Very quiet at lunch. Agree w/ Barach's 2001 review, Zia's should not be missed. Helpful wait-staff. Substitions no issue. Will make it a new favorite spot.
$5.00 wine is a great bonus, servers super-friendly and attentive. Flatbreads absolutely delicious. This is our go-to for birthdays ( generous complimentary tiramisu) and friend get-togethers, no matter how far away we all live...totally worth the drive
Our server was AWESOME! Food is consistently excellent
Have been there several times and have never had a bad meal! The place is small and quaint but the food is great and the service and staff are fast and friendly. If you want good Italian in a neighborhood place you cant go wrong with Zia's
