Schnitzel was NOT crispy. Apfel Strudel looked ok but tasted weird…. Would not recommend. Beer was good!

Racist experience! As a group of 9, we went to this place for drinks and food in the evening. The waiter constantly pestered us to order more. And when we ordered 6 main dishes, he got agitated and argued with us to order more and then made racist comments. When one of them ordered a dish, he said "Do you know what you're ordering" and later on he said is this how you order when you go to an Indian Restaurant! We called the Manager, who refused to come and later an Indian Manager from 1st floor was sent in to diffuse the situation. We had taken enough of this non-sense, cancelled our food order, paid for our drinks and left! The manager who came was sent to control damage in front of other people in the restaurant. There are so many places in Munich for good Beer and food experience, with a welcoming experience, just not this one. Never again to this restaurant!

This place is definitely built for tourists. It obviously gives you that typical Bavarian vibe, however if you’re looking for something more authentic, go look for some other brew houses. My suggestion would be asking locals about the best place to try a typical Bavarian food and good beer, and they’ll happily direct you to one of their favorites.

Leider ist mein Deutsch nicht gut. Staff became unreasonably unsatisfied that I didn't want to add tip, after quite brash staff requests to do so. The reason for zero tip: my main course (Wienerschnitzel!) was delayed after several reminders more than 15 minutes, by which time my table guests had all finished their main courses and were ready to leave. Zum Franziskaner has beautiful ambiance, reasonably good but slightly expensive food, somewhat touristy address/appeal, but during the Christmas and NYE holidays there have been many complaints and 1-star reviews. I suspect they are understaffed and not able to handle the 2022 winter holiday season.

They had a New Years special menu and they closed their kitchen at midnight and closed the kitchen. Half of our party didn’t get their dinners. Horrible service. Terrible food. Don’t go!

New Years Eve! Very nice restaurant with lots of people and many tables, the food was delicious and the service was excellent! I recommend this place to everyone who wants a good meal!
