Probably the last time I go here. Although the food is really good and our server, Kevin, was excellent the place was so noisy we couldn’t hear ourselves talk. There was one table in particular of 8 young women who truly ruined the experience for everyone else. I was disappointed and surprised that no one from management said anything to them. It’s unfortunate because everyone else in the place was upset and probably won’t return. But I’ll bet the women will return and make you lose more business. You have to draw a line somewhere and these women stepped far beyond any line of decency.
Best Tapas in RI no questions asked! Food was amazing, one Tapas better than the next.
Desserts are to die for.
For ethnic food it lacks distinct flavor and nuance.
The good parts:
I got the pork Belly and my wife got the salad and deviled eggs. The pork belly was epic and I will get again. The salad's flavors were delicious. Mike, the bartender was fun to talk to and attentive but not just with us. He took care of everyone equally.
The bad parts:
The hostess was subpar. We had reservations and showed up 5 minutes early. There wasn't a table available. She offered the worst table to us next to the door even thought she was using as the host check in table. The chairs were uncomfortable and they need to be replaced.
This was a return visit, so we obviously like this restaurant. Very friendly service, nice atmosphere, and very good food. The paella did not qualify as a "small plate" but I was advised of that when I ordered. It was full of clams, baby octopi, shrimp, and sausage; very tasty but a bit too salty for my taste; consider asking to have the salt ratcheted down a notch. Scallop and beet small plates were excellent. Nice beer selection. We'll be back.

We started off with cocktails, and 2 were watered down. Our waiter brought two fresh ones (the high point of our night) although he rushed in and out with the drinks with barely time to thank him.
Our table for 3 was really for 2 and our adult daughter sat with her coat on all night as she was up against the cold outside wall leaning precariously on the fire alarm. Service was incredibly rushed; we watched all the waiters running around hurried all night, and when they came to our table with food, it was put it down with a quick "here is your....." and off they ran with no time to thank them or even tell them how good the previous dishes were.
Clearly there were neither enough wait staff nor bartenders for the very busy night. And the noise level was so high we also were unable to have a nice conversation.
Had a wonderful dinner. Suggestion of 2 small plates per person was just right then ordered desserts. Food came very quickly .

Great food and service. Prices were a little over the top for tapas. I wasn’t expecting to spend $100 a head (that was with dessert and alcohol) but in the end we had a good meal.
We visited on a Saturday evening on Valentine’s Day weekend, so it was very busy. Service was a bit spotty: it took awhile to be seated, to have our drink/food orders placed, and to get our drinks. The food came out very fast, however, which made up for some of the slower service earlier. The food was fantastic: the conch fritters and pork belly were our favorite of the 5 tapas we ordered. The dinner was pricey, but not unexpectedly so.

The food was amazing and the server was great. That said, the fact that they canceled our reservation when we were 10 minutes late and alerted them that we would be, especially after driving 45 minutes to get there, was ridiculous. I have had delicious food all over the world and I’ve never heard of such a stingy policy.
We loved our dinner at Red Fin before the show at PPAC. It is a short walk to the theater and even though you had to pay $20 to park at the garage adjacent to the restaurant, it was worth it. The food was fabulous and came out quickly (LOVED the paella, the beets, the fish tacos, scallops on beet risotto, but it was all delish). The service was great too. One of my friends dining with us said it was her "favorite pre-show dinner" that we have had...and we have tried a lot of very good restaurants. Love doing tapas with friends! We will be back!
We were visiting for a weekend and I chose this restaurant because of the Latin seafood.
We were not expecting Tapas but we were not disappointed . Every dish was extraordinary and just enough.
Great food, great chefs and wonderful staff. It's a staple.
All the staff members were gracious. Although it was a busy Valentine’s evening, our orders were served promptly. Everything we ordered was delicious and creatively prepared. It was a very positive dining experience.
Food was really good! It was Valentine’s Day, so things were a little crazy, and part of our order showed up during dessert. I expect a few glitches on a night that busy, that didn’t bother me as long as everything tasted good. Our waiter was really nice and quite calm considering how busy it was.
The only thing that irritated me was that they had likely jammed in extra tables, so we were practically seated in the kitchen. Having a first row seat to the drama of a busy night while the bright kitchen lights shone in my face wasn’t exactly the romantic ambiance I was looking for. Maybe just accept the number of reservations your space can handle and your kitchen and wait staff will be less overwhelmed?

We had our dinner on a Tuesday night, the restaurant is not so packed. Service was excellent. I cannot recall the name of our server, but she is amazing. She was very personable, gave great suggestions for which food to order, and seems very knowledgeable with the entire menu. The food is great, and absolutely loved the dessert! It was a nice dinner with co-workers.
Bachelorette party- it was so awesome.
We started off with some amazing drinks and then we had one delicious small plate after another! The evening was so fun and the food was AMAZING! We will be back and hopefully find room for one of those delicious sounding desserts!

A small group of us celebrated a special birthday. Our table was ready for our booked reservation. The wait staff is professional, knowledgeable & attentive. We all enjoyed the red sangria(real sangria with the fermented fruit). We had numerous small plates, Each one more delicious than the next. The grilled octopus was the star of the evening.
We all had a wonderful evening. Highly recommend.
We had a fabulous meal there. My partner is veggie and I'm omni. At most omni places, she get one or two entree choices. If we go to a veggie place, I'm a veggie for the night. Red Fin Crudo small plate menu allowed us to share 4 veggie plates; I had the meatball plate all to myself. It was perfect ordering for us.
All the dishes were delicious and smartly designed. Even with 5 dishes, the price came out the same as 1 app and 2 entrees at a regular fine dining place. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The tables are practically touching each other, so the noise level is high and a feeling of private intimacy low.
Overall, a fabulous night on the town. We will be back!

This is my 4th visit to Red Fin and has been by far the worst. The food is not consistent. We ordered 6 dishes and none were outstanding. Everything was just heavy and doused with cream. I don't plan on returning especially for the price tag.
High top tables out front, laptops and kitchen in the back. Love the small plates/tapas menu, cocktail menu, and wine list. Outstanding and attentive, charming service. Super fun! Go with a group to try lots of tasty tidbits.
We were promptly seated, service was wonderful. Our waiter was very informative and made great recommendations. The date and blue cheese salad was a great starter. The Street Corn and Brussels Sprouts were savory, though we could have skipped one. The Tuna Tartare is the best course we had. The octopus was nicely charred and had great flavor. Kathy and I are average eaters and 5 plates were a bit too much food. We will be back.
Amazing service and great food
Loved the variety of flavors. Each dish unique. Not a quiet place. Staff is excellent. Kitchen was quick.
This was our second visit to Red Fin Crudo, a smaller restaurant and bar in downtown Providence. On this visit, we found it a mixed bag. We very much like the Tapas style dining but were underwhelmed by many of the dishes. We also found it to be very loud and think the metal chairs are very uncomfortable. The cement floors, hard surfaces and metal chairs likely contribute to the din.
We ordered a wide variety of dishes including:
* Scallops & Lobster in a Corn Cream Sauce - The description sounds much better than the dish. Some of this went uneaten.
* Charred Octopus - Everyone liked this dish
* Short Ribs & Risotto - The risotto was quite good, but the ribs were a little tough and dry.
* Chicken Wings - Overcooked, way too dry
* Croquetas De Jamon - Two diners liked this dish and one did not
* Beets - Everyone thought this was a good, basic dish.
* Roasted Garlic and Chipotle Hummus - One diner really liked this dish. Everyone like the accompanying Plantain Chips
Service was spotty, for example, it took about ten minutes to get a glass of wine, but the food arrived hot and the check came out promptly. This is a popular place on a Saturday night, and parking can be challenging this time of year. We parked in the Biltmore Garage next door to this restaurant, which cost $20. There was a garage a block away which we passed, that was only $10 but was full.
I'd rate Red Fin Crudo on this visit with 3.5 stars, and if not for the noise and uncomfortable seating, might nudge the review to four stars. Overall however, it warranted three stars on this visit, and I wouldn't rush back here for another dinner, nor would I decline a dinner invitation here.
Food was delicious. Great assortment of tapas. Very accommodating as we had tickets to a show after dinner.
We literally had everything in the menu thinking tapas but the portions are more than generous. I love their paella, raw bar and fancy Nancy in cocktails.
Service was average. Both of the specialty cocktails we tried were terrible. Seats were horribly uncomfortable. Two of the four dishes were good, but one was a simple meat & cheese plate. Disappointing, considering the good reviews.
Food was awesome! Would totally eat here again in a heartbeat.
The food was very creative and we enjoyed our selections. But beware, this is a pricey place. Each tapas is about $15-18 dollars. Sharing is OK if you are not super hungry, but if you need 3 tapas to make a meal than it does add up. That being said, the food is well prepared and nicely presented. The service was pleasant and not rushed. Nice addition to RI eateries.
The food was fantastic! Will go again soon.
