This place is a great option in downtown for a fun evening out. The tequila list is exceptional.
Food was great. Server was great and very knowledgeable, when he was there. Seemed to disappear often and we had to ask someone to find him twice during the 75 minute dinner.
We enjoyed the food and ambiance. We were joined friends, and long after our meal ended we talked without feeling any pressure from your staff to leave.
Super friendly staff and great food. Not super crowded for a Sunday noon but just as lovely.
Reposado offers upscale Mexican cuisine in a modern yet comfortable setting; easy to find a table if you eat on the early side; dishes were delicious
I love this place. The spicy sauce served with the plantain chips is addictive and the guacamole is always super fresh.
Great food and service, what more could you ask?
Table next to us was way too rowdy and noisy and boisterous. Annoying.
Excellent food as always.
Everything we ordered was excellent. The Chorizo stuff dates were fantastic. Very nice, out of the ordinary, menu.
Food is over priced and they had multiple people at our table taking away our plates even though we weren’t done. Just felt like we were rushed out although the restaurant was empty
Always a wonderful experience. Great food, appropriately-sized portions.
Great time, great people, great drinks, as always! Thank you Reposado. See you again soon!
Reposado is always excellent, and our New Year's Eve dinner was no exception. I had the lobster, my husband the RibEye. For dessert the special Tres Leches cake. Service, ambience, everything, perfect. And perfectly delicious. One of my favorite restaurants in Palo Alto.
The food was good, but the service was terrible. The cost of the meal did not equal the service we received. They forgot us so many times.
Reservation made for our family for 6:00 PM on Christmas Day. We arrived 10 minutes early and the restaurant was packed and bustling. We were seated on time. We ordered from the Prix fixed menu plus a side of ceviche and guacamole to start. Those were delicious. I selected the lamb chops for my entree and those were amazing. Our meals were outstanding and service was very efficient as was the kitchen in preparation. We will definitely return in the future
Disappointingly small portions - tiny salad (well dressed), small lamb chops (very nicely cooked) with fat and meager contorno (good brus.sprouts) a very sweet apple pastry (biggest portion of evening and worst health wise - sugar, fat, and white flour)
Service was good but was a bit pricy for a mediocre mexican food.
Sat down and ordered drinks while reviewing the menu. 30 minutes later still had no drinks, not even a Coke that was ordered. Cancelled the drinks and got our food seconds later. Asked for the check and the table was cleaned off and wiped down before the bill was paid. Never felt so unwelcome. Tried to tell the manager when asked and he blamed having just one bartender, but only 1 table in the restaurant was having any alcohol, and it wasn’t us.
I took my husband's boss and his partner to this Mexican restaurant because I used to considered it one of the best in the Bay Area. The place is nice and the service and food were smooth until a piece of plastic showed up inside of one of the seafood crepes order by one of my guess. I tried to call the server, but our waiter was not there, so another waiter came to help. We explain the situation and he said that the only option was given him the same dish newly prepared, but my guess was not sure to have the same. Since he is a foreigner and does not speak English, the translation back and fore took us a couple of minutes so the waiter left us NOT saying anything jus left. That's when we felt terribly disappointed. Clearly, first was the mistake of the kitchen and then a mistake of the service!!! Since three of the five were having the same dish we did not want to eat. I definitely won't come back there.
Service is a 10. Guacamole with Tort chips a go-to.....as is the pork belly....to die for....
Our food was delicious and our waiter was very nice. However there is NO changing table available. I did speak to a manager about my concern however had to change my baby on the carpeted floor by the bar (after a bartender offered to put 2 chairs together for me to change my baby - 100% unsafe!). We will likely not return with our child.
For the price? meh
I'm all for paying true cost for something: good ingredients and living wages. If guacamole costs $13.5 per 1.25 cups in a stainless steel bowl, fine. And the chips and a few tablespoons of salsa for $6. Ok, but really?
Took the server too long to get to the table. Soup was acceptable not wonderful.
Will not go back.
Great place...great food...great service...fantastic margaritas
Food very good. Ambiance is nice, but noise level is difficult to contend with at peak times.
Great Ambiance, but you pay for it. Everything was solid in terms of food quality - nothing mind blowing but everything done well and service was reliable. Value was not there to match it -- pricing reflects the location and aspiration.
Great food and drinks! A bit noisy, but it is a big place.
Always fun items on the menu, the empanadas and stuffed date appetizer, we shared, were great and the fish and enchiladas so yummy.
We went for an anniversary dinner on Sunday night. No street parking could be found and so we parked in a stinky lower level civic center garage. Restaurant looks good from outside as well as inside. When the waitress asked to start us off with salsa and chips, it being a mexican restaurant, we thought it'd be free. But it was $13.50! They did take it off the bill when we said we didn't expect it to be that much. The rest of the food was also quite expensive for small portions. Mac and cheese was $9 for example. But the food was quite tasty and so it might warrant the high prices for some. Anyways, I'd classify it as one of those go once and be done type of restaurants.
Food was wonderful and service was friendly. However, the restaurant seemed understaffed. We were a party of two. It took about and hour from being seated to receiving food. It took about 30 minutes for our order to be taken after we were seated. We arrived at 5:30 on a Saturday and had a reservation. The hangar steak doneness was exactly what we asked for and tasted delicious. The hamachi appetizer was light, flavorful, and tasted very good.
Good appetizer. The chicken dish of the kid's menu is too peppery. Service is just OK for the 20% charge on service (tips).
Great food and drink. Nice ambiance.
What a wonderful Thanksgiving meal. The traditional turkey dinner prepared by the chef at Reposado couldn’t have been better and vastly exceeded my expectations.
Amazing food and great desserts.
Delightful fine Mexican dining.
Server spent the entire meal trying to get us out of our table as quickly as possible. He even cleared away a margarita that was still half full. Will never come back.
Delicious appetizers and balanced margaritas
We really liked the mood of this place – like a fast-paced, high-touch but very personal dining experience. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The street corn was amazing and the fish tacos were some of the freshet and most flavorful I've had. Everyone loved the fresh guac as an appetizer with the fresh tortiall chips. It was obvious each dish was made to order, but the kitchen kept up very well for a crowded early dinner. Service was very responsive and friendly, the beer selection was great. One diner really appreciated the many GF options.
What a nice experience! The food was great and the margaritas exceptional.
I like taking my clients to this restaurant. We were very pleased with menu choices.
I would have given 5 stars for everything but why on a Saturday evening when you want to relax over your dinner and enjoy the company of your partner does your meal - appetizer and entree all arrive in the space of 30 minutes. We were in an out in 45 minutes . In future we won't order our entree till we are ready for it to be served.
