Economy Shoe Shop - Halifax
I can see why this is a fun place, with the quirky decor and interesting design concept. Food is basically okay. Nothing you make a destination for. But one thing: the place is a bit dirty. Everything look sticky and needs a cleaning.
One thing that can ruin a meal is seeing mice. What’s even worse is when the staff acknowledges they know they have a mice problem and don’t seem to think it’s a big deal in a food establishment.
Although we had a reservation, some how it was missed so we had to wait until a table was ready. Our son ordered the crab cakes. He did not enjoy them and they came back on him later in the evening.
The rest of the food was good but the Nova chips were nothing special. Service was slow.
a bit slow and had a show to go to and the order was not correct (eg. got side of fries instead of salad as requested0, both otherwise good food and service
New Year’s Eve!!!
Dissapointing at best. This was the first place I ate in Halifax 10 years ago, and it is safe to say the food did not even come close to living up to my expectations. Way too many other excellent places to eat in the area.
We liked it so much we went back the next day and brought friends.
