Fallon & Byrne - Exchequer Street Restaurant
This was a wonderful restaurant. They were particularly accommodating to my son’s milk allergy. We felt very welcome and comfortable. The food was also excellent. I would highly recommend.
Where to start.... avoid at all costs, it felt as if we are at a cattle market, the noise level to high we couldn’t even talk to each other.
The starters are well over priced compared to other leading establishments within the city.
€35 euros for a fillet steak is a joke, you’d expect a tomahawk steak at that price.
Children were also running around the place at 10pm, it’s not that we don’t like children. However, there is a time and a place...
Sorry, but we won’t be returning.
We had a lovely meal there, the food was beautiful as usual and the staff were efficient & friendly.
Food was fab as always. Great customer service and staff couldn't do enough for you. Overall super experience
Too loud for us but the food was good.
The vegetarian menu is a good idea.
Beautiful restaurant with attentive service and outstanding food.
Seated immediately, wonderful service and food outstanding, will definitely be back and would nightly recommend.
First time visit to F & B and it was a really enjoyable experience. Seamless booking online, lovely welcome, very attentive service throughout, extensive food & wine menu and delicious meals - what more can I say !!!?? Thanks for a lovely afternoon.
Our 3rd time here and as good as ever. Friendly staff, good menu choices and well-prepared food. Nice ambience and a convenient location.
This was my first visit to the restaurant, and I was very impressed. The food was excellent and the service was also of a very high quality. My friends and I fully intend to go again soon. Thank you.
The restaurant has a nice atmosphere but the lighting could be improved. The decor is a bit dated.
Having said that the space is very comfortable and very private - good space between tables.
The food was very good. The steak happened to be a bit tough but when we complained they offered us an Irish coffee on the house.
Great place to go for an early dinner, where the staff are attentive, welcoming, discrete and yet always at the ready. There's something on the menu and wine card for all taste buds and budgets. In all, it left a very good impression and the desire to go back there with family, friends or just on my own.
Delicious food and friendly service in a lovely room.
Cold food, forgot part of order. Staff looked like they were rushing to get home. Bad butcher smell coming from their shop below
Burgers are amazing! Swap out the fries for the Truffle Mash!
After taking our two guests from the UK out the night before to a different restaurant, and having a disastrous meal, I was nervous in case things didn't go well on their second night in Dublin. Fortunately, our meal at F & B was practically perfect. A peaceful and calm ambience, efficient but understated service and delicious food and wine. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you!
In Dublin for 2 days wanted a cosy lunch with friends. Great Vegetarian food menu. Wine,Service & atmosphere terrific.
Would definitely recommend this place. The food shopping downstairs is also fabulous.
As always the food and service are next to nothing in Fallon and Byrne. we opted for cocktails instead of wine with the dinner, and weren't disappointed. we all chose pre-theatre as it was just as good as the a la carte. the food was delicious and the service was excellent.
we love the restaurant, and out of all the ones in Dublin, we frequent this one the most.
a treat for both a comfortable afternoon or a special occasion.
We had the early bird menu, two courses for around €27 and it was delicious! The service was amazing, couldn’t fault the night! To top it off the staff brought me out a birthday ice cream with a candle which I was not expecting!! Such a lovely touch, Would 1000% recommend!
We had been to a wedding in Fallon & Byrne, Exchequer St about a year ago and the food was fantastic! We decided to go back for lunch and it did not disappoint. I had the steak and my wife had the gnocchi and both dishes were exemplary. However, the show stealer was the broccoli side we ordered. Blanched then fried with lemon vinaigrette and shaved almonds, it was a delicious accompaniment to both our meals. We capped it all off with a delicious Kinder Bueno dessert and a cocktail. The staff were very helpful and friendly without being too familiar and the room was slightly over-bearing when barely occupied but once a few more tables arrived, the ambiance was very relaxed. We will definitely go back... even if it’s just for two plates of broccoli!!!
Excellent location, scrumptious food, exceedingly friendly staff and of course excellent value for the early bird menu...We stayed until 11:00 pm!!
A very enjoyable evening with superb service and food
Excellent food, perfectly prepared. Nice ambience and really friendly and professional staff.
I Love Fallon & Byrne, I love the dedication to Irish produce and the attention to detail on the plate. The tastes are consistently fresh and flavoursome and I keep coming back!!!! so that says it all!! Many thanks, Orla.
Had my birthday dinner here. Good food and ambiance. The room is a bit noisy - there were a few large groups present - it was also quite warm up there.
Very quick with bringing each course and a mix up on the bill let it down
We were shown to our table promptly however our orders were not taken for 59 min. One of our party had Prime Rib which was very “ chewy “.Most disappointing ,as a visitor from Australia I had expected the quality of Irish Beef to be far better.
Lovely menu with some interesting, rather than mundane options like so many Irish restaurants. I found the grilled oysters and 2 sides very bountiful, yet a bit salty together. I didn’t expect the baby gems to be grilled, but they were intriguing. The sides are enough for 3-4 people! My only complaint is that it was an unusually warm summer day for Dublin and the dining room was very hot. I had to leave early rather than savouring the lively food.
Good feedback on the food, price and early bird options. Not great feedback on the burgers from a few people so would remove from the menu or improve.
I had the ear bird menu and got the hake - it was very nice as usual - I nearly always get the hake dish. The restaurant was very quiet as we were having a rare spell of good weather and that might have affected my scores
Food and service was amazing. Sarah’s recommendations were spot on. Delicious food in a GREAT environment. One of the best meals ever
I am a coeliac so cannot eat gluten and my sister is allergic to tomatoes mushroom and sweet corn so imagine my delight when I asked what items were gluten free to be told EVERYTHING !! ALSO my sister was catered for with great understanding of what ingredients were contained in each dish. The three of us were attended to with excellent service by down to earth lovely people. We will all be back and I encourage all Coeliacs to come here it is COELIAC HEAVEN!!!!
Great food. Hot upstairs. Slow service.oysters, gazpacho, and lamb were amazing. Good craft cocktails.
Wonderful food ,no allergens on the menu though nice cocktails too👍
Beautiful birthday meal. Amazing food, wine and service.
Beautiful restaurant and fabulous staff. A really nice treat, thank you!!
Absolutely amazing food , very friendly staff & most definitely will be back again soon !
Excellent food, service and great value for money.
I’ve eaten here a few times over the years - outstanding every time. Food and service are both top notch!
We had a lovely dinner but the noise level was very high.
