Everything was great, the food , the service, it was just a little noisy
This dinner and a movie deal is a great value! I've done it twice now and told all my friends about it and posted it to my facebook page. The only complaint I have about my last visit is that my friend's dinner (pesto pasta) was DRIPPING in oil. There was a solid 1.5 inches of it at the bottom of her bowl. I personally would have sent it back! My Korean burger was awesome and the cheesecake was to DIE FOR! I showed her all around the facility and she was impressed. Loved looking out over the gardens.
Sitting outside by the highway was not great for noise although the garden was nice .
Service was friendly and sincere
Menu was creative but so salty that we felt unwell with swollen feet and hands later
I recently visited Bistro 67 after a couple of years of wanting to try it out. Let me start by saying that it’s a real shame that 905ers were probably waiting 30 minutes for a table nearby at Jack Astor’s or Milestones, when a far superior experience was awaiting at Bistro 67. We had a reservation but there was ample room on the lovely patio which could have accommodated many more diners. As for the patio, I understand it is open on Fridays only. Since Durham seems filled only with patios adjacent to parking lots, I feel like Bistro 67 could benefit from a campaign to promote the patio at the best in the region (and beyond) and have it open every day. The designers did a fantastic job of hiding the fact that the restaurant is nestled between the 401, Thickson Road, and a car dealership. You could pretend you were dining in a more ‘agricultural’ zone, with fruit orchards, a huge pollinating garden, and vast rows of vegetables and greens and berries that serve as the foundation of the dishes. As for the food, I have nothing but good things to say—the size of the menu was perfect: not overwhelming but good seasonal variety. Presentation was great, service very attentive, and it’s so nice to eat a carefully prepared salad that didn’t come out of a bag. We were given a delicious chocolate dessert for our birthday party member (perfect combination of dense fudge cake, crunchy cookie chunks, creamy icing and salt...and I thought I wasn’t a dessert lover!). I only which I could have eaten more of it, but we were so satisfied from our meals and starter we just had to thrown down our forks after a few bites. The chef came out and made the rounds at one point which is always nice. Next time I want to dine inside and check out the views from above.
Had an absolutely wonderful experience! We always enjoy eating the delicious fresh food and chatting with the friendly staff.
This was by far the best dining experience my husband and I have ever had. The food was incredible! We loved our Jerk chicken and salmon. The tandoori cauliflower was out of this world! There was an explosion of flavour with every bite. Our server, Caitlin, made us feel like we were at home chatting with a friend and the other Kaitlyn offered us a tour of the fields and green houses after dinner. She was very knowledgeable and passionate about process of growing and harvesting food. It is very evident that everything from the food, to the service is done with love. I can’t wait to visit again.
Our friends my husband and myself thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I loved that we could have DC vegetables with our dinner. Nicole our waitress was amazing. Bistro 67 is my favourite restaurant in Durham region.
The appetizers and dessert were ok, but salmon entree was excellent. Everything was fresh though, and service was attentive. Overall I would recommend.
Have been twice now. Was great both times. Gardens where a lot of the veggies come from is right out the windows. The cucamelin gin smash was a great before dinner drink and I had the penne with mushroom cream sauce and my wife had baked eggplant. Was wonderful!
Will definitely come back looking forward to see what dishes you make in the fall using squash an pumpkin hopefully
Good food, great serivce, great place. Went here for our anniversary. They said happy anniversary as soon as we walked in and also offered chocolate covered strawberries on the house for our anniversary as well. Place was amazing. Will definitely be back
Peter Stewart and staff never disappoint, Peter and the staff always have a few moments to chat and explain menu and gardens
The wait staff were excellent - very informative and friendly. Food was superb. We ate on the patio, a retaining wall to block the 401 view and noise would be ideal. Otherwise it was perfect, your gardens are very impressive. Looking forward to returning.
Such a lovely lunch for my aunt's birthday, overlooking the garden. Love that they provided a map of the garden layout. Food was wonderfully flavourful, interesting ingredients used creatively. Staff were very professional, helpful and friendly. Will be back soon
Appetizers were better than the entree. More flavour needed
Did not care for the sourdough croutons. Added nothing to the meal. The sous chef approached us on the way out and listened to our comments. We loved the layout and the view. We were invited to go check out the garden. We had never had fried green tomatoes. They and the sauce were wonderful. The salmon was seasoned and perfectly cooked. An overall lovely experience. Can’t wait to go again
Bistro 67 is a hidden gem. I adore the location, the great view of the farm, and the food. This restaurant is a shining light for Durham Region!
Service was great and generous portions of food. Just not to our tastes.
Very good service and interesting seasonal menu. Food was served hot and was fresh.
My second visit. my first was fantastic on all accounts. This one was disappointing and I blame it mostly on the choices available for the entrees.good for adding vegan choices bad for a lack non vegan choices., salsa seemed to be a theme Local???. appetizers were wonderful and if I I went back tomorrow I would probably order extra apps and forget the main course. Dessert needs more WOW! Great staff!!
The food was exceptional
The chef was able to modify my dish with no pasta but more veggies it was delicious!!!!!
The noise level was too high, we had difficulty conversing. Regardless of being a busy evening, service wasn’t up to your standards.
Have been wanting to try Bistro 67 for a while, and I'm glad I did! Ordered the peach sangria (delicious!) and the Ocotopus & Shrimp Linguine. I can't believe how much octopus was in the pasta (YESS!!). It was very yum - I'd order it again. Service was lovely, and the timing of everything was perfect. Had a great experience.
I’ve been to Bistro 67 many times and love it. This time I brought a friend who has never been there. She absolutely loved it. The food, the view, Nicole our waitress always friendly, knowledgeable and attentive.
I will go there over and over and over. One of my favourite places! I also enjoy being a vegetarian that there are many options available, and verging vegan menu I may be able to bring my daughters sometime!
Great place highly recommend!
An amazing experience with amazing food to match. We had a tour of the kitchen with the Dous Chef who was educational, funny and enthusiastic! We will be back with other friends. Well done!!
They care about every single detail! The best restaurant for a date and to celebrate big achievements
This was a pleasant experience during a quick visit to Whitby. Lovely, fresh ingredients. Fun cocktails. Nice view over the gardens.
Very uncomfortable hard chairs, noise level very high. They need to add soft scapes ie, plants to absorb sound. Service was friendly but slow. The california rolls rice was crunchy, my baked eggplant was over cooked & very hard crust around edges. My husbands risotto was very runny. Overpriced for ambience & food quality. We won't be returning.
Excelent service, loved the garden idea. Keep on bringing the map of the garden
Food was very nice. Service was outstanding!!
Stay away from Radish ceviche...bitter & watery
The culinary staff at the restaurant were top notch on the evening we went. The staff, from the kitchen to the waitress and the hostess were great. My wife has food sensitivities and they all went out of their way to be accommodating to ensure her meal would not cause her any issues and they were very successful. I have no complaints about the service in fact our waitress Caitlin was phenomenal and the hostess was great, I only wish I had gotten her name but she was great in helping the staff, answering questions and giving us information on the restaurant and the catering that the school also does.
Well worth a reservation and we will most likely go back again.
The food is fantastic.......a nice variety on the menu for both meat-eaters and NON meat-eaters! Great atmosphere and friendly staff.
Great dining experience . Great menu. Great food, I wish they had more seafood dishes, but everything we tried always amazed us. Please bring back the beef tenderloin dish. That one made the keg look like Kelsey’s
Stellar customer service. Upscale ambiance and setting. True Farm to Table for demanding locavore foodies. Attention to detail. Beautiful plating and presentation of seasonal food and cocktails.
Thoroughly enjoyable dining in a modern, environmentally conscious bistro.
Bistro 67 was truly a missed overlooked restaurant. We were definitely impressed with the flavours and presentation of each dish.
Always great food and service. Would highly recommend! Seasonal and local ingredients, creative menu and drinks, well worth it.
Nachos where amazing. Chicken Tacos where not very flavorful but were decent. The service was very good hats off to the server. The restaurant was nice and quite and enjoyable. Would be nice if you carried halal foods.
The evening was quite enjoyable- from the beautiful large windows allowing sunshine in, to the quality and variety of food.
Items on menu are not your standard items so it's nice to have something different to try. Waitress was very helpful providing additional info. Atmosphere was quiet.
Very good food and service, just way over priced!!!
