Tuscarora Mill is our families go to spot for special occasions. The menu is creative, the food is great, the service level is always top notch!
Loved it! They even added a special birthday wish for us at the top of our table’s menus. Nice touch! Outstanding food.
It was our 47th wedding anniversary and we could not be happier about our experience at Tuscarora Mill.
We felt like royalty. We received a warm welcome from the host upon entering and everything was just perfect from that point.
Service (from Michelle) and food was outstanding, had our name printed on the menu and received a Tuskies tumbler as a remembrance of our special occasion. One of the best anniversary meals ever.
I heartily recommend this restaurant to anyone interested in a quality dining experience.
Great service, high quality food.
I am constantly astounded by the consistency of this restaurant: superb food, superb service; you name it, it's superb. My wife and I frequent this restaurant; it is our go-to restaurant. We were there this week, and the tuna poke appetizer for me and the special salad for my wife were wonderful. We both had the sea bass special, and, as always, the fish was perfectly prepared, with extraordinary accompaniments. Our waiter, Wendy, was superb as always, as are all their waiters. We cannot say enough good things about this local restaurant.
Short and sweet: One of my favorite restaurants in Leesburg.
Great food as always. But please, bring back the sausage gravy and biscuits for the breakfast brunch buffet.
This is the best consistently excellent buffet we have ever dined at
Food was very good and we will go back. Mixed drink menu sparce and mixed drink blah. Beer selection good and enjoyable. Service very good and noise level reasonable.
Amazing dining experience. We celebrated our wedding anniversary and we couldn’t have chosen a better location.
Love this spot! Anything you order here is healthy and delicious. The staff is very attentive and the overall ambiance is so comforting and beautiful. Recommend this restaurant to everyone!
I was meeting a friend for the first time in over 40 years. Our waitress allowed us the time and privacy we wanted, while being attentive but never intrusive. As always, Tuskies was absolutely the best place to meet in terms of ambiance, food, and thoughtful staff. Hats off and thanks.
1. The food was fantastic (we had the crab cake, and the skirt steak). You could sense the attention to detail by the kitchen.
2. The service was thoughtful, timely and attentive. Our server had lots of tables, and remained on top of everything for us. He didn't miss a beat.
3. The atmosphere of the old mill adds to the experience. We were in the main dining room which is a beautiful room.
4. We were celebrating our anniversary, and the additional treatment we received for the occasion was nice, adding some positive sizzle to the evening.
Tuscarora Mill has my full recommendation.
Loved it! Sunday brunch items were delicious!
meh food and disappointing service - took over a half hour just to order appetizers.
Always great food with fresh ingredients and great service.
From the service to the food, everything was just wonderful!
Our lunch was excellent at Tuskie's. Tasty food and the right size portions. Service was very attentive. Always one of our favorites.
Waiter was an all star, great sense of humor, perceptive of needs, discreet attention at all times. Food was outstanding across 5 different main courses. Expected very good and was surprised on the upside.
My wife and I were impressed and enjoyed the restaurant. We are not from Leesburg and we had a little trouble in finding the proper entrance for the restaurant itself. But when we did, we were very pleased that we had chosen your restaurant. The ambiance was definitely above average. The food was excellent and the waiters took very good care of us. The favors that were given to us at the end of our 66th wedding anniversary dinner surprised us. A nice touch! We have recommended Tuscarora Mill to our adult children. You will definitely see us again.
Our Server, Gabi, was excellent; very pleasant and thoughtful. The meal was outstanding, served in a timely manner, well prepared and tasted unbelievably good. The staff couldn't do enough for my wife and I, the restaurant's decor (old mill) added to the whole experience.
We were celebrating our 55th wedding anniversary and it could not have been any better. Would absolutely return for another meal and would definitely recommend "Tuskies" to our family and friends.
Good food, nice place, hard to find, great experience but overpriced.
The food was great as ever. Marc's service was superior. All around a memorable and lovely experience.
We had a beautiful night to celebrate a fabulous woman’s Birthday.
Delicious food and excellent service. Brunch buffet is outstanding!
Ever disappoints. Food was awesome- took the husband there for dinner with his sister and her husband. They are vegetarian (so options were limited for them) I had the filet and my husband has the halibut. Highly recommend
Wonderful food with excellent wine list. Our server, Megan, made the experience even better.
Everything at Tuscarora Mill was perfect, from being seated right away and the very attentive waiter, I forget his name, to the grilled beef/scallops dish and dessert. Everything was a great dining experience. Highly recommend!
We went for our anniversary and it was WONDERFUL! Thank you to Tuscarora Mill and their staff!
Got there early on a weekend night, they gave us a great table off by ourselves, perfect for a 4th date. The staff read the situation correctly and didn't bother us, only for necessities. The food, although a little on the expensive side, esp. for Leesburg, VA, was great, prepared just as we ordered.
We had a great dining experience. We had a reservation and our table was ready--service was very good, the cocktails were great and the food was outstanding
Good recommendations. Very good service. Our guests from Ireland, France and Spain enjoyed the meals
I went to Brunch for my Birthday it was AMAZING! The service, food, atmosphere, drinks, quality and quantity was appropriate for the price. I didn't want to leave. My favorite was the Shrimp n grits and French toast!
The Tuscarora Mill brunch is always top notch. I particularly like the sliced Roma tomatoes which are great even in the winter. Omelets are well prepared and tasty. Wait staff are attentive and friendly. My wife loves the shrimp and grits. Potato salad reminds us of what grandma used to make. Bacon is the best I have ever had at a brunch. Well worth the 45 minute drive get there.
Tuscarora Mill is a solid traditional restaurant. Great service, look and feel. But when it comes to food, there is nothing memorable, except apple cobbler that I will definitely recommend.
Did Sunday brunch here and it was fantastic, as usual. I typically do work lunches here however this was for getting together with friends. Overall, the food was great and consistently replenished when they ran low. The shrimp and grits or my personal favorite, and the omelette station had a large amount of choices for fillings. Plenty of food for kids to eat as well, as I brought my one year-old and she crushed pretty much everything in front of her. The Sunday brunch drinks menu was also very good, I particularly liked spicy jalapeño margarita while my friends wife got various types of mimosas that she enjoyed as well.
This is a tough review to write because, overall, everything was wonderful. The food was delicious, the ambiance was lovely, the waiter was awful. We waited for a wine list for forty minutes, after asking three times. I finally asked the person refilling our water and she retrieved it in less than a minute. The waiter was completely inattentive UNTIL we ordered a bottle of wine that was over $100. Completely transparent. Unfortunate since the restaurant itself had such potential. Would have been much more enjoyable with a different server.
“Tuskies” was phenomenal! We had heard from several friends that it was really good, and it still far exceeded our expectations. After recently moving from the DC area where good dining is somewhat easy to find, we are so happy to have found a restaurant in Leesburg that could easily compete in the fine dining realm found in the district. We can’t wait to return soon!
We visited this restaurant a few years ago (several times) and always enjoyed it. Well, it is now overly commercialized and the food quality and overall experience has declined greatly. We started off with cocktails and then ordered the corn chowder. It came out right away, but was barely warm. We were starving so didn't say anything. We ordered our entrees and a bottle of wine. The entrees came out within a few minutes, but no wine yet. Everything was feeling very rushed all of a sudden. My husband ordered the branzino and it was average at best. I ordered seafood stew in a tomato broth. It was more like a tomato soup, rather than a broth and the flavor was not pleasant tasting at all. I have had cioppino and seafood stews several times at other restaurants. This one was almost inedible. It also did not come with any bread of toast. We ordered some and were charged extra. I should have sent the entree back, but with the wine mix up and the cold soup, everything else I pretty much was just done. I left over 1/2 of the entree and we decided to share a dessert. The pound cake with blueberries was the best thing we had all night. We then took the rest of our wine and left. It was definitely not the romantic, slow-paced, gourmet dinner that we had expected based on past experiences. We will not visit here again.
The food, as usual, was excellent. Service was second rate at best. A management problem. Our waitress was very pleasant, helpful, efficient and courteous, but was covering waaay too many tables. Couldn’t get her attention when needed. Wanted dessert & coffee but couldn’t get her attention to take our order. After considerable wait, decided to pass on dessert and get the check. Still couldn’t get her attention so grabbed a passing hostess to get our check. Management isn’t paying attention to operations in the dining area.
