Always a great experience at this restaurant.
Excellent food, and the service is outstanding
This place is great! Service is awesome.
I found the food to be mediocre at best. Nothing special.
Our second visit was as great as the first. Pretty decent wine list for a "strip mall restaurant". Don't let the location fool you - Villaggio is serious about food. The brothers really know how to prepare the Italian classics, and how to create one-of-a-kind specials to delight all types of diners. Outstanding to have so many gluten free options to choose from. We have tried Frutti di Mare, Lobster Ravioli, and a pasta with sausage & mushrooms (name escapes me) - all were amazing. Also had a special salad big enough to share between two persons - octopus w/celery and giardiniera, oil & vinegar - ridiculously good. Filiberto served us with magnificent recommendations on both wine and menu items. They even have some limited outdoor dining (too hot the evening we were there), with a beautiful flower and herb garden, which we may try in the future. Looking forward to our next visit - next time with friends!!
We love this restaurant. The food is excellent and we always feel like family. Christina is the best. Makes us feel like she has been waiting g for us to come back. It is our FAVORITE restaurant by far
Amazing place for a date or a family time. It is great place and great food.
It was a Friday night and there was a very good singer but it was loud. The food was outstanding. The cavatappi with sausage and spinach was to die for. We will be back!
Wonderful food at a great value. Grilled salmon is amazing. Go for the food but stay for entertainment. Beth Haines is amazing!
Great local Italian place with friendly staff.
Food was good, not the best, but ok. The entertainment was good, very loud for that small room but expected. Service was good at first but then less attentive after ordering. Spent 1.5 hours there without ordering apps or drinks, just entree. Bus boys were good at clearing tables and filling water. Could have taught the waiter some things. Received wrong dinner, fixed after 20 minutes, hmm, maybe the order was not put in? . I don't like it when waiter feels it is ok to bring back the bills as change, but not the coins. Isn't that stealing? Also, waiter argued with me over my dissatisfaction, said I will get you the right change and a receipt that is not ripped up. I'm sure he is reading this. I am not coming back. You can now have more time for your regulars that you were hugging, instead of spreading your time equally.
Last Friday friends and I went to Villaggio's for lunch. It was not crowded. we were quickly greeted and seated. However, once everyone arrived and we ordered then the service went downhill. Our salads were not brought before the entree, water glasses were not refilled, the dessert order was not processed until a second server had asked about our order, the bill was not quickly processed. We have eaten there before without these problems so we probably will return to try again, because the food and atmosphere are wonderful, but it was disappointing.
The food was excellent and the service was great. We really enjoyed the Birthday
Very nice time - live music was fun but just a little loud when trying to hold a conversation
Excellent food and terrific service. I had one of their daily specials recently and it was delicious!
Great food and service! Fantastic authentic Italian restaurant in the suburbs. Will be going back soon!
In general, we like Villaggio's Restorante. The food and service always seem to be pretty good. My biggest complaint is that their live entertainment, while mostly good, tends to be too loud. If you go there with friends, and expect to have a pleasant conversation, that might not be possible.
On our latest visit, we went for dinner at 6p. Before the music started, someone from the band walked around asking if the volume was okay. They turned it down, and then right back up. When the music started at 6:30, we could no longer talk to one another.
It would be better to have the music lower while people talk and dine, and then turn it up a little at 8 or 8:30.
I had been to this place years ago.... maybe 2012... This place has stepped it up! They did a light remodeling and freshened up the place. The staff is so helpful and friendly! Food was outstanding!
THE RESTAURANT IS IN THE MIDDLE OF A STRIP MALL IN A NICE SECTIOIN OF ROSELLE. THE RESTAURANTS INTERIOR IS PURE ITALIAN. THE WAITER WAS PROFESSONAL, ENGAGING, AND RESPONSIVE. OUR APPETIZER AND ENTREES WERE DELICIOUS—WOKE UP OUR TASTE BUDS.
WE ENDED OUR 40TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION WITH THEIR HOMEMADE LIMONCELLO. A FANTASTIC RESTAURANT THAT WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Great food, great service great people. Highly recommend
Fantastic food as always, and the service was awesome! Can't wait to go back!
Good tasting dishes along with great service. The veal Marsala was tender served with fresh mushrooms and whipped potatoes. Chicken limon was served with just the right amount of garlic with sautéed vegetables and roasted potatoes. The complimentary appetizers are the best...focaccia, bread, olives, and pepper spread are very tasty. Never would one think this restaurant is located in a strip center, but it is! Well done!
This is a very nice restaurant. Food and drinks are very good. Entertainment on Saturday has not failed. This is a great place.
Been coming here for years and the service and food never disappoints!
First time there food was delicious we weren't rushed and the entertainment was unbelievable.
We went to Villaggio on Saturday night. Had 7 PM reservations for a nice dinner with friends we hadn't seen in a few months. Except a short time after we arrived the restaurant turned into a club. First there was dance lessons. The music was loud and people were up learning how to dance. That wasn't too bad. It was not that loud. And it was not going on that long. But then, after that came the band. Way too loud. We could not talk to each other. I had to finally walk outside to clear my head. The owner did offer to move us to a quieter place, but that is not the point. We went to dinner not a night club. It was 8 PM and music was blaring. If Villagio wants to be a club, be a club. But if it wants to be a restaurant then cut back on the music. Or at least the volume. Or even start it later. The experience was so bad my friend didn't even eat his meal. He said the music game him a headache. My wife woke up with a sore throat from trying to take to people at our table above the noise.
And, we were not the only ones. When I was outside I ran into 4 people who said they had to leave because the music was bothering them. Also, the table behind me left with a 1/2 bottle of wine on the table and 2 glasses half full of wine. I have to think they left for the same reason. Hands down the worst dining experience I have had in a while. If you make plans to do go dinner you should assume you will be able to talk to people at your table. If I wanted to go to a club, I would have.
Note: The owner was nice enough. He did buy us a bottle of wine, since the food also took way to long to be brought out. We got there at 7, had an appetizer and did not get our food until after 9. The waiter was also very nice and apologetic. But, as I said, the service was poor. Took forever to get food out of the kitchen.
The quality of the food was decent. And the wine was good. But the total experience, at least for us 4 was a complete disaster.
It was my birthday and we wanted to go somewhere different and thoroughly enjoyed it
Great food, great service. I love this place. Been here twice and they don’t disappoint.
Just one comment how does an Italian restaurant run out of meatballs at 5:30 but if the restaurant open.
Every day a special and always excellent. Will consider off menu ideas. However, the menu is quite extensive. My wife and I eat here fairly regularly and have never had a bad meal or poor service. Can be loud on weekends with music
The food is wonderful and a great value. Drinks are very generous.. when they have entertainment it’s fun.. just a great place
Restaurant was fairly busy for a Monday night, and they were extremely short staffed. The owner/waiter did a good job of trying to cover. Food was really good, I had the grilled pesce platter, calamari and octopus were very tender.
Amazing service; even better food.
Fantastic night and the music was the best! Kinda didn’t want to leave but people were waiting. Absolute jem! And our server was outstanding. Sadly I don’t remember his name. Hopefully they can trace it to our check. Will be back soon!
Great food and really loved entertainment by Beth Haines!
ALWAYS delicious and NEVER disappoints!!! Authentic Italian cuisine for sure!!!
Wow, so amazing
Service was slow
Very nice evening, food was delicious and entertainment was great
I had The chicken piccata, it was delicious! My husband had the lasagna Bolognese and said it was excellent as well! We sat at the bar the bartender was attentive and super nice!
Outstanding restaurant. The service is phenomenal. I love the family that runs the restaurant. The food is exceptional and reasonably priced. It is one of our favorites restaurant. Always look forward to going there!
