My food (sweet potato gnocchi dish) was poorly prepared - probably had been around for awhile. The gnocchi was rubbery - very unappealing. My daughter was also quite unimpressed with her pasta with sun dried tomato pasta...not so good. Grilled romaine salad was quite good. Gelato for dessert looked like it had been in the freezer way too long. Waitress was very good, as was the support staff. Friendly people, just need to rework recipes and make them fresh.
Boys loved their Big Cheese pizza. There wasn’t a piece left over. The entree dish of the day was good but nothing special. Service was very attentive and promptly. Good spot for a family night out.
Great place to eat and talk! Nice Gluten-Free option. Go there!!
The service was wonderful and the food was delicious as always.
The grilled watermelon salad was excellent... hopefully still a special next time we go back.
The pizza was good, the roasted red pepper and goat cheese, though crust was a little to thick for our liking or favors need to be more as to not be so doughy.
The pasta special was better than the Shrimp and angel hair. It was all stuck together and not even olive oil to coat it, but the favor was good just to much pasta or not enough sauce.
Service was slow, but I can't blame the server, it was the restaurants fault. She had a big party of 10, or 2 and a 4 in by the bar as well as the few tables outside in front... she did the best she could to run back and forth with no other support.
I would try it again, it's a good neighborhood spot, nothing fancy and good seasonal specials
Food was excellent, beautiful space but our server Lex made it exceptional!!!
Nice Italian restaurant at very reasonable prices.
Mother’s Day. This is not fine Italian dining by any means a small step above Olive Garden if you ask me. though people seem to have enjoyed it. Just not for me.
This was perfect for Mother's Day, the entire family enjoyed it
Great food and great service. Always a pleasurable experience.
W ere there for a Mother's Day buffet. The food quality and offering was great. Flavorful not bland. From roast beef to fish to the omelet station, it's cuisine was indicative of a high end restaurant. I can't say the same for the dessert however. It was catered, I'm guessing, and mostly soggy. Creme brulee went fast, cheese cake was gritty, ffresh fruit was good, pastissierre was soggy. Overall, I would go to the restaurant again for a simple dinner or lunch. I trust the Food will be better.
Great family spot for a good meal for everyone. Will definitely be returning.
I always enjoy going to Trattoria 225. It's close, has good food and service
Nice ambiance and service, but if like my family you’re into Italian seafood, they over cook it.our seared tuna was cooked through.
Trattoria 225' s special holiday brunch never fails to disappoint. It's always good food, good service, and a good time. We loved it!
The Easter Brunch is fabulous. Selection of food items is varied, with something for every diet. The dessert table perhaps best of all even surpassing the oysters.
The food and the service were outstanding. The salad was so fresh and my salmon dish was THE best. We will be going back at least once a month. Great Restaurant!!
Server was excellent, attentive, and didn't quibble about my ordering a starter as an entree. We have been here before and always find good food and decent prices. This time the polenta I had was too salty. Otherwise everything else was fine.
The food was bland even the salad. We both ordered from the specials menu, not special. The soup of the day was tasty.
Very good food and enjoyable ambiance for conversation- three of us shared a pizza and two entrees. All were delicious. Service was pleasant, competent and patient.
Friday evening, 7:30. Restaurant about half-full. We liked the open feel of the dining room. Service was very good. Prices are less than comparable area restaurants.
Their house version of a Manhattan is called a "ryes up." Good cocktail but, in my opinion, should have been served with a cherry. Portions are generous. Food was good -- but some misses. The grilled mozzarella and prosciutto appetizer picked up the flavor of the grill and tasted burnt. My wife like the special, stuffed chicken breast entree. I had the special swordfish and calamari entree. Swordfish was perfectly cooled - but the calamari was tough and chewy.
Disappointing first visit but we'll try them again.
Great space, good food, good service. Definitely in our dining rotation.
I’m not the biggest fan of Italian food, maybe because I always feel too full with all the pasta. Not a problem here, with at least 6 choices of salads. I had the Brussels sprouts salad with goat cheese and not only was it delicious and satisfying (great portions!) but we were served within 5 minutes of ordering, on a Friday night! The ambiance was great for kids, we had 4 in our party and they colored all over they paper on the table after they finished with their kiddie page. I also had then minestrone soup and the veggies in it were SO fresh. Everyone at the table loved what they ordered. My husband had the butternut squash ravioli and I stole a taste and the sauce it was in was so flavorful.
Plus on tons of vegetarian choices, good for kids, good value and great food.
This was a great choice for a Monday night. Uncrowded, quiet. Good service, excellent food and wine, no rush. Everyone was happy.
Great food and great staff never disappointed. we have taken many friend for dinner and they love 225.
Great menu, including gluten free options. Service is excellent, handled a group of 11 very well.
Only one suggestion: very few, if any, single malt scotch selections from the bar.
Great service and food!
Despite making reservations, we had to wait 10-15 minutes to get a table. They said they're reservations were all backed up. They had a special going on for V day, with very reasonable prices. Food was decent, but nothing to rave about. The ambiance and service were great. Another nice perk, they wrapped our wine bottle to go since we didn't finish.
Easy to get Valentines reservation on Open Table app. Great dinner, great service
Excellent food, wine, ambience and service. One of my favorite restaurants.
Food here is really really good. Service is a bit slow but friendly and helpful. My kids really like this place also and it is one of the only places they both agree on. I'm a fan.
The food was fantastic and our server was wonderful. From fish to pasta everything was excellent. I had asked for a round table if available and they delivered on that as well. We will definitely be returning.
Our server, Sam, was awesome. She’s great with kids, fun & professional personality & on top of everything. Great service & food!
Outstanding food and service!
We alway love the place great food and great service The meals alway have an extra touch that makes them different for other restaurants
Every time we bring someone new they comeback with other friends.
Disclaimer: I cook a lot and have very high standards but this is in my village so decided to try it. Pleasantly surprised at the food. 4/6 entrees were very flavorful including gluten-free options. Steamed mussels and chicken special were delicious! Gnocchi with short rib was very salty but tasty. Gluten-free linguini with Frutti di mare was spectacular when paired with Montepuliciano wine.
Enjoyed our dinner as always. Busy New Years Eve but everyone seemed to be having a great time and enjoying the food and service. One of our favorite local spots to eat.
My wife and I went there for New Year's Eve dinner. They had a fixed menu. The food was adequate but not great. Service was fine. The price was less than other places we were looking for dinner but the food was lacking also.
The food and service never disappoint. So lucky to have this gem close to home.
