III Forks - Chicago
Went the other night, good, not great but good. No real complaints.
We were hoping for the rooftop but it had rained earlier snd the rooftop was closed.
Extraordinarily loud restaurant for a special occasion.
Our server was excellent and attentive.
Food service was slow.
Awesome service and the food was great as always. Will come back soon.
Food was truly outstanding! We were greeted warmly by the hostess. Unfortunately, i have to mention that our server was a bit unkempt. He also asked us twice if there were any food allergies. He also asked how our calamari was when we had ordered (and loved ) the Carpaccio. The filets were tender and flavorful. The potatoes and spinach were also great. Surprised to see how busy it was on a Monday night. Speaks for itself.
We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary here. The staff is so nice and friendly. The food and drinks were delicious and top notch. Overall we had a wonderful time and we’ll definitely come back again. 🍾✨
Service was spot on and food was excellent.
We had a fabulous experience at III Forks. We celebrated a birthday and it was a great experience from beginning to end. Great food. Great service. Wonderful location and great design.
Good luck Natalie
The rooftop seating was amazing. The food was not what we expected and we dine at very nice restaurants. They brought out our steak and it was not prepared how we ordered. They brought our salads didn’t ask if we wanted pepper I had to go find a waiter to get one for us because no one came by our table. The worst part was it was our anniversary and this restaurant did not live up to what we had heard about it on line. The waiter did comp us a cocktail and our dessert to make up for the evening. I would not recommend this restaurant and we will not patronize again.
This is the most beautiful restaurant in Chicago. Inside, outside – stunning! But the bad service ruins the entire experience. That and the bland food drowning in oil. I've dined there twice and both times it was awful.
Last night we were seated in their outdoor patio and from where we were I got to watch the employees. All but one (Props to one of the expediters. That brother was husslin'.) just didn't care. Not only is the service painfully slow, it's the second time they brought us the wrong entree. And I had to ask 3 times for my drink refill. The waiter kept forgetting. Dirty plates don't get cleared. And none of it is because they're busy.
Employees stand around at the end of the bar and socialize. Some of them were drinking a cocktail by repeatedly sucking it out of a straw. None of them cared about the guests. The woman walking around with the earpiece didn't care either. She knew I was looking at her and never asked what the matter was.
The menu looks great but the execution is poor. Everything is swimming in oil. Nothing is seasoned properly. Wrong items have come out both times.
It's such a shame for this beautiful restaurant to be run so poorly. I will not be returning.
Simply great food, service and ambiance. Will be back soon!
Sad because this place bailed on my friends and I following a Lolla after party
We sat upstairs on the patio. Perfect weather and ambiance.
I really enjoyed the drinks, food, and overall experience. My only complaints were the fact that I ordered an 8oz and they brought me a 6oz. I noticed the size difference but your average customer may not have known the difference and would’ve paid for an 8oz even though it was only 6oz. Also my boyfriend ordered his steak medium and it was very close to well done. So it may have been a possibility our whole order was mixed up. However, they rectified the problem by allowing me to eat the 6oz while they still prepared my 8oz. The customer service was great so I was satisfied with the outcome. I definitely will be coming back to enjoy the rooftop ambiance again.
I like iii forks. But in the two times I’ve eaten there the food is a bit inconsistent. The bone marrow starter is outstanding and will keep me coming back. But the kitchen seems to have organization issues. The last time I came the potatoes were undercooked. This time my salmon was dry and over cooked and the broccolini didn’t come out until we were eating our last few bites of meat. It was undercooked. The creamed corn was delicious however. It seems to me that their recipes are great but they have a difficult time executing timing in this kitchen.
Great experience, delicious food, lovely night!----_
I book my reservation two week prior to the date of coming . I called and asked for a rooftop seating. When i got there the lady downstairs was really rude. She cut me off when i was trying to explain to her that i called and requested to seat on the rooftop and she was trying to seat me downstairs.. she then tells me you can head upstairs i asked where’s the elevator she say oh down there with an attitude.. we proceed to go upstairs the host upstairs seat us at a table for 5 people and it was me and my fiancé. They then seat us right in front of the emergency doors. I just wasn’t feeling the service of the hostess, but my waitress was extremely nice i enjoyed her.
Food and service always so great. Third visit! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Loved it! I called last minute, requesting rooftop seating, they didn’t guarantee it, but did everything they could & made it happen! The waiter, supervisor, & kitchen staff made sure to pay extra attention to the food allergies we discussed, also explained food options we had questions about with great detail. Our meal for 2 was prepared pretty quick & was very seasoned & delicious. I’ll definitely be back.
Always amazing. Great Vibes. Great Food. Great Atmosphere
The ambiance and setup of this restaurant was perfect. Took my girlfriend here for her birthday because she’ve been to practically every other steakhouse in Chicago. Anyways, it was her “golden” birthday and I had called the restaurant to confirm my reservation and requested “Happy Golden Birthday” on her dessert. I was assured this was no problem so I hope for the best. Well, the service and food was great except for the exceptionally loud party at the bar. We were sat under a canopy style booth with a slightly-obstructed view of the surrounding skyscrapers. Anyways, the dessert came out without a single letter on it. It single handedly ruin the near perfect evening. We order 2 sides, new york Waygu with crust, 45 day aged bone-in ribeye with pamersan crust, a round of cocktails and the bill was about $300. We did get a round of cocktails on the house hence I’m changing my 3star rating to 4. Thanks for the experience.
Thank you Sara and Natalie
Great restaurant on the rooftop. We were there at Friday Happy Hour and a group of 6-8 people were very loud, destroying the mood for those of us ordering dinner. Overall, it was a lovely experience and the rooftop is a great place for outdoor dining.
Nice ambiance, rooftop was great. Service great. Food was good
Always a pleasure talking visit
Great service great people
Amazing place as always, iii Forks has turned into one of my favorite spot to dine in around Chicago. Great service and fantastic food!
We go typically once a week after boating. I do miss Dale - who knew everyone's name and remembered the regulars. But the burgers and oysters are so good. And the steaks always cooked to perfection.
My absolute favorite steakhouse in Chicago. Food is awesome from drinks and apps to the final course. Steak are darn near perfect! The service and those working there are top notch and primo. Everyone is awesome. We went for our anniversary and they took excellent care of us throughout
Very nice area. Food was on point. A lttle loud in the dining room, but rooftop area was peaceful with good feelings all around. Staff very helpful and accomodating. Would def recommend!
Great service and atmosphere. Food was delicious
Well to start the night we had a small bump because a private event was book but we still received are service because it was a mistake on there part once we where seated the view was amazing the food was so good all around an amazing night definitely returning soon
My wife and our two adult children went in Friday night. Split the tomahawk ribeye and fillet. Strakes were done perfectly. Had some appetizers and salad. Exceeded our expectations. Definately recommend this steakhouse.
We really enjoyed our dining experience here. We are pretty basic eaters and wish there were more chicken dishes offered to entice us to visit more often.
great little gem for happy hour. Nice mix of age groups. wonderful location away from the hustle and bustle. Will be going back for sure
Great location for my business meeting. Atmosphere and food was perfect.
Great rooftop dining experience. Full dinner menu available on the rooftop. Great cocktails. Great date night spot.
Wonderful experience . I will recomend entirely Tks
We paid a lot of money and the service was very slow. We had to keep asking for stuff. A cola 3 times other drinks, our oysters took 45 min to get to us and they didn’t bring the right condiments. The steak was great but it took us 2 hours to get our food.
Definitely would recommend, service was awful. However.. I’m a old Forks customer, so I’ll be back. I guess, service that night was off.
Very rude Staff. Host should be let go. Server was very nice but never came back to check on us. We wanted more drinks and had to get someone after asking other servers to tell our server. Only positive was the food was good.
