Atlas Steak + Fish - Burnaby
They screwed up the food multiple times and then they over billed us big time the server was not very good. And I ended up getting sick after we ate here way to spend a birthday
Fantastic as usual. Food was excellent. Roasted vegetable were smoked a bit too much this time but steak and appies were all on point
This place is perfect for a special occasion, you'll most definitely feel special and be dazzled by the ambiance.
Atmosphere and service is really good. We didn’t like the food. It didn’t worth the price. We have order duck confit and vegan risotto.
We went to Atlas for lunch. It was quite, just the way we like it (evenings might be different).
The steaks that my wife and I had were cooked as desired. The presentation was good. Our drinks were well made. The hostess was very cordial, but intrusive at all 👍🏼.
We are sure to go back and recommend Atlas for meal.
As always in every visit, excellent service, excellent food, excellent music. Best steak place I have gone to in the 34 years I have lived in Vancouver.
Excellent experience. The food was amazing. Our server was terrific! You have to try their Tomahawk Beef Steak and their Alaskan dessert. Everything was unbelievable. You get what you paid for! :) would definitely recommend and we would come back without a second thought. The pianist had a nice mix and choice of music. Starts 6pm and it is very enjoyable. Excellent atmosphere! They sure know how to enhance your dinning experience.
Great option if you are going to the Casino or staying at the hotel. Both our servers (bar then restaurant ) were knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Food was excellent except the happy hour oysters were not to our liking. Raw and we were told brought in daily so not the fault of the restaurant.
still one of my fave places to go for steak
I really like this place. Amazing!
We were referred to Atlas by a former employee who had moved to another restaurant and said the food here was the BEST! He was 100% correct!! The food, the service and the friendly atmosphere was amazing! We started off with 24 Kushi oysters and two of the best Cranberry Cosmos we’ve ever had ( thanks Nicole) and tremendous happy hour service from Leah! Later we moved to the dining room for a delicious NY strip steak with mashed potatoes and a medley of all kinds of mushrooms that were divine! Nicole was our server now and provided excellent service. After dinner, we left Atlas for awhile to gamble and then returned to experience Atlas’ remarkable Baked Alaska dessert served tableside by Leah!! What an extraordinary culinary experience made even better by the delightfully kind hostess ( can’t remember her name but from
My girlfriend and I always visit Atlas Steak & Fish for our annual special occasions birthdays and Christmas. We always request Brigitte as our server since she is always pleasant, fast and so wonderful to talk to. Thank you for making our dining experience special and being our favourite restaurant! I tell my friends and family to visit you all the time!
Great as always - thanks so much!
The Cesar salad was overdressed and not as good as before. The steak was cooked to order but a little tough.
Awesome meal and great ambience. The steaks were top notch delicious. Perfect place to celebrate an anniversary!
Another great experience at the Atlas Steak + Fish in Burnaby. Great tomahawk steaks as always!
The food was too dry and cold.
We were there to celebrate each other’s birthday. The staff were fantastic. I had the daily special Beef spatzle. It was delicious! My friend had a chicken salad and he enjoyed that too. The waiter brought us each a complimentary dessert to wish us happy birthday. We enjoyed that too. I will definitely come back for more meal here.
The goat cheese bruschetta is outstanding as is the cheesecake. The seafood mixed grill for 2 is pretty tasty but a little pricey.
Excellent food and a very knowledgeable server.Would definitely go back.
Great food and great service
Waiter Michael was terrific. Explained everything well and wen out of his way to make our visit memorial. Food was great. Definitely worth a return trip, soon!
Good meal and service, Josper grill is very flavourful. Would go again.
Excellent server! Attentive and professional service.
Steak was overcooked. I expected better. It was tasty but I had to eat quick before it became both overcooked and cold. Too bad.
Enjoyable. All staff were very friendly from the host greeter to the servers. Our server was always smiling as she served us. Great ambiance and wonderful staff who make you dining experience very pleasant
Good addition of duck confit. But they removed the seafood risotto :(
Happy Hour appetizer , small portion for 1 Shrimp / 1 Scallops , didnot taste fresh $4.00 , Spaghetti meatballs not sure what we’re tge ingredients, no taste / sauce .
Kettle chips were best . Red merlot Wine was good . Bread should have come out before meal . Tomahawk pork chops , done right , tasty but $37.00 . Wild mushrooms were really good .
Great service from Mina and the Manager. Chef Daniel and team made a very good meal for us. Tomahawk and pork tomahawk cooked to right doneness. A bit week on the dessert though. We are disappointed not having rock oysters but Chef gave us complimentary cooked oysters. We are returning on Friday. Thank you
It was great food, but it 100% felt like you were in a hotel. The service was stellar though. Overall, I would recommend it at least once.
The food was good for the most part, when it finally arrived, but the service was not. Not only did my freshly baked bread have a long blond hair in it (I have black hair), their apologies did not seem sincere but rather the server just blamed the people who make the bread saying it’s not made in house and only baked there. The entrees took way too long. After our appies, we waited about 15 mins with no food, the server finally came by saying it would be another 11 mins, which was a bit of a shock since it was 9pm on a Tuesday and the restaurant wasn’t very busy. After another 15 mins I asked the server what’s going on with our food, it had been way too long and it was getting late, we just wanted our mains so we could finish dinner before 10pm. The server looked annoyed and tried to educate me about how long it takes for a tomahawk to cook. Well we ordered 3 appies and 3 mains so they should have 1) told us upon ordering how long this $120 steak would take to cook and 2) they should have timed it better in the kitchen, ie started cooking our steak before we got our appies. Anyway, half our entrees finally arrived and the server told us that they were comping us our halibut which would be a “BIG” discount ($46), last entree that still hadn’t arrived and didn’t arrive until another 5 mins later. The way the server said this made us feel like they were doing us a huge favour and in my opinion, this is the minimum they should have done for our negative experience. Needless to say, I will be spending my money elsewhere in the future and I would not recommend this restaurant based on my experience.
My friend and I had a great experience. The food was fantastic. I will definitely come back to try other dishes.
It is a beautiful restaurant with a great ambiance.I just was not really impressed with the food.
I had the gnocchi and found it very bland, not enough sauce. The mac and cheese was dry and not
cheesy at all.The other dishes were fine but not outstanding. The best part of the meal was our server
who was great.
Cesar salad was all stem and croutons
Went to Atlas Steak and Fish on a Tuesday for a Father's Day celebration. We had a great experience here. Made reservations and requested high chairs. Everything was set up by the time we arrived. There were bowls for the toddlers which we didn't utilize as we brought our own. It was a little loud in the restaurant but you could still have a conversation without having to scream.
We ordered the mussels to start, 1 of each of the seasonal specials, a tenderoin, the tomahawk and a few sides.
All the steaks including the tomahawk were cooked to perfection. We asked for medium rare and medium for the tomahawk. The seasonal specials says that there were spot prawns but the prawns were very tiny, it would have been better to just get a steak and a side. The sides are a good size for sharing.
All the dessert sounds amazing but we were too full and only tried the salted caramel creme brulee which was very good.
Overall, it was a really good experience.
Nice service and overall experience. We would come back for another occasion
beets were woody but I ate them anyway because the non woody bits were the best ones I ever ate
Fish, prawns and steak were all of amazing quality, as were the potatoes and the rest of the veg although my brother would have preferred them a bit more cooked
We waited a long time for the bread although our drinks came super fast.
The little dessert requested at the end of the meal was perfect in terms of taste and presentation.
Bruschetta was nom.
A bit over priced for what you get. Service was great and the restaurant was nice.
This was our second time to Atlas in Burnaby. The first time was excellent so we were anxious to return. Second time was very disappointing. We ordered the same entree as the first visit, but it was different and not nearly as good this time. We ordered two Caesar salads to be shared between four people, and were charged for four Caesar salads. I had indicated on my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday but it was not acknowledged, while a birthday at the next table to ours received a complimentary dessert complete with birthday candle. I don't expect I will return to Atlas again.
Our server was very attentive. The food was excellent. Would highly recommended.
