Rustic Stone by Dylan McGrath
Vert umpressed by the concept or hot stone which keeps Food hot until thé end.
Delicious food, great service, and a great buzz about the place
Extraordinaire!!! I loved it!!! The food was simply delicious all our plates where very tasty and original. We will go again beafore going back to Canada BRAVO!
the food was amazing but the waiting staff seemed very keen to take our order! We must have been asked about 4 times if we were ready in the space of 5 minutes so felt a bit pressured but when the food came it made up for it! We were upstairs and there are a lot of tables so you are quite close to your neighbours but it was fine
God was fantastic very good menu , service was great and good value . Very enjoyable meal
Over the course ofour four trips to Dublin, the Rustic Stone has become our favorite Dublin restaurant. The food is first class and the staff are personable, welcoming and friendly. There is nothing not to like about it. We are so happy we discovered it on our first trip and have not missed it on the three subsequrent trips to Dublin. Hope to return to The Rustic Stone once again.
Delicious and fun
I loved this place. They have a good food and service.
I visited Rustic Stone twice over the past few weeks. Both visits were thouraghly enjoyable. Food iwas very tasty and staff were extremely helpful and efficient. Looking forward to my next visit.
Fantastic experience in the restaurant and the food was possibly the best I’ve ever had!
Fun experience cooking main dish on stone right in the table.
The food was amazing we really enjoyed it. However we were a table for 2 beside a group of approx 8 who were extremely loud. We had to shout to hear ourselves more than once it was as loud as being in a busy pub! We asked to be moved to another table but the waiter said we couldn't as it was too busy. We probably would have ordered dessert and coffee but in the end we didn't as it was just too noisy. Other than this we love the food in this restaurant.
Interesting & great food...unique take on beautiful beef cooked at your table.
This is the second time we dined at the rustic stone in the past month. Cannot recommend it highly enough. The food is really tasty and the staff are wonderful
I enjoyed my first visit to Rustic Stone. The concept of cooking your own meat on the hot stone makes it stand out, though if you were not taking this option, I'm not sure what the attraction would be. The staff were friendly and the service fast and good. The rib-eye steak wasn't as tasty as the fillet steak, and the prices are quite high overall if you take starters and sides along with the main course. Still it was an experience to be enjoyed.
Great food fantastic service all in all a great night out .Thanks Guys
Staff might have been stressed but service was not great and seemed focused on selling our group their special large steak options , we just wanted the dinner menu but to get it was like pulling teeth !
Very good food; it's concept-driven, meaning that you grill your food on the rustic stone on your table. The oil hit my arm a bunch of times, and my wife had to get out of her chair to let the server with a large order through to the table behind us. A little dicey. But food, service and overall everything was lovely.
Excellent meal ,will definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant
Very very busy with seating quite packed together
Service was good with any member of staff willing to help
There was a nice buzz in the restaurant. The waitress was bubbly, friendly and helpful. We were presented with a complimentary cake as it was our anniversary. However we found the meal expensive and overrated. The cod starter was very small. Only a few bites. The wine list was very overpriced. I would not go back again.
As enthusiastic food-lovers wooed by the alluring website and media hype, my partner and I looked forward to spending an unforgettable birthday celebration dining at the Rustic Stone. Memorable it certainly was – but not in a good way. We agreed to ignore the red flags of cramped tables and loud boom-boom music designed to promote profit over diner experience, in favour of what would surely be a meal delivered with flair and panache, to endure instead, food on par with passable pub-grub, served with the finesse of a burger chain at midnight. My starter of quail was tough, charred and flavourless, bereft of the delicacy one normally associates with this fowl, served with a satisfactory, but overly strong mango salsa. Instead of a main, I opted for tempura salmon – which arrived as three small pieces of salmon, flavourless, wedged inside a hard, shell-like substance bearing no resemblance to the soft, delicious, light batter one associates with tempura. There was no sauce or even a slice of lemon to mitigate. Sides of cauliflower and lentils were flavoursome, but unimpressive. Chocolate soup dessert was indeed just that – soup; melted chocolate, over a thick chocolate mousse. Again, no contrasting flavours, variation in textures or complexity. My partner’s chicken wing starter was the highlight of the meal. The fat was beautifully rendered, the skin tasty, delicious and crunchy. The Glamburger main, consisted of two small very average beef burgers, akin to sliders between slightly stale buns, a spoon of relish and a lettuce leaf. The Crème Catalan dessert was completely liquid and devoid of the thin crunchy caramel glaze we associate with this pudding. There are thousands of better restaurants in Ireland, food served with passion, innovation and integrity without the hype. The lingering aftertaste having spent a Friday evening at Rustic Stone? Bitter disappointment.
Enjoyed our first trip back after a while. We both said we'd be back sooner!
We always dine at Rustic Stone when we are in Dublin, the food is outstanding! Absolutely recommend the restaurant if you are in the area.
Great food, very good service and the air conditioning was very satisfying. My wife loved the surprise.
Super restaurant.. food fantastic.. cocktails 🍹 fabulous
We had a great night
One of best dining experiences in Dublin
Well done !
We absolutely loved the food and presentation, it was gorgeous ! Service was very good , everyone is very polite and professional .However, very disappointed with deserts.. it wasn't that great .
Cheeseburger was overcooked. Asked for medium. Great server. Nice place
Lovely restaurant. We had a drink in the bar before dinner which was really nice. Staff very helpful and friendly in both the bar and restaurant. Food very good. We were using a taste.ie voucher which made the experience amazingly good value. Have been a couple of times previously to this restaurant and have had similarly good experiences.
Great food and service was very good. Best Manhattan cocktail I e had in years. Lovely.
I have been going to rustic stone for few years, the quality of the food it’s always good, however the polenta chips got smaller during the last few months and the salads portions have been reduced too.
The desserts menu should be refreshed as they have been the same for the last few years.
Food and service at our table was good, however the waiter was not as familiar with the menu as I would expect... not something that bothered us. Overall in the restaurant there was a feeling that EVERYONE was under pressure.. this makes customer feel slightly unwelcome and more of an inconvenience than anything. I would recommend to a friend as the food was delicious, but I would also warn them that it can feel a bit rushed so not for a relaxing meal.
The evening we had dinner, it was very hot in the restaurant. The tables were very close together and the noise level was extremely high. The wine was not chilled and at €9 .50 a glass it should be perfect. The food was nice and staff were polite and courteous.
The food was delicious. Steak was a little bit pricey considering it didn't come with any sides. My waiter was training and new which I understand but as he had no supervision our drinks did not arrive till after the steak even though I asked several waiters several different times. Overall I enjoyed the atmosphere but would have preferred a couple more drinks but because we got our drinks so late there was no point.
Great menu really enjoyed the tuna and my husband had fillet steak really delicious. The chicken wings were the best.
After reading the comments elsewhere we where expecting Irish cuisine revisited and in fact we had a blad what so ever cooking dinner - the burger was greasy, the meat in stone served with what could be industrial sauces ... in one word not good food experience
