    We sat at the bar. The bar tenders were pleasant and the service was great. The Voodoo Shrimp and the Calamari are absolutely superb!! The cowboy ribeye was cooked perfectly but had no flavor. We were given a second one which was 3 times better but I don’t think it was worth the $77! The Bulleit old fashioned was fabulous!!! We will be back!

    This dinner was a struggle. I’m used to Ruth’s providing a consistent experience no matter the restaurant and this failed to meet that bar. The service was remarkably slow. When entrees finally arrived my wife’s streak was markedly overcooked and I’m positive it was not a filet and instead sirloin. The waiter agreed it was overcooked but challenged that it was the wrong cut. I’ve never seen a filet at Ruth’s that’s 1/4” thick. It looked just like the sirloin my dad orders at Outback. Anyway, they replaced it with an appropriate steak but that took much longer than it should have. Then had to wait for dessert. Then wait longer for the check. The table next to ours had been left unbussed essentially our entire dinner. Very much not a Ruth’s experience.

    Reserved standard table at the bar. When we arrived we were told to go look for an available table. I had my elderly parents and the only available option was literally at the bar on bar stools. My mother had a very difficult time attempting to sit in the tall stool. We ordered our food and drinks and 40 minutes later we finally received one of 2 plates. We had a show to go to so we asked them to remove 2nd plate, paid and left hungry. Disappointed with hostess service and bar service.

    Worst experience Ive ever had at restaurant, much less an anniversary reservation. It took almost an hour just to receive bread to the table, took almost TWO HOURS to receive entrees, salads were delivered after entree when we had to remind them we never received salads. Additional items were added to the check we did not order. No paper towels or soap in the bathroom, burnt out lights above our table, and out of stock menu items tell me there are management and operations problems.

    I've been to Ruth's Chris several times over the years, all were special occasions for my wife and I. Sadly this turned out to be less than we have come to expect from Ruth's Chris. As you are aware it very easy to lose a customer and even harder to get one back. I suspect this will be the last time i visit Ruth's Chris

    Had to wait 10 minutes past res time for our table due to a mistake on a text. We were only 5 feet away from the hostess stand, very confusing. But she insisted it was our fault :-)

    Horrible experience. Service was slow, had to request everything multiple times. The Thanksgiving meal was seriously 3 pieces of deli turkey, small portions, no flavor. Very disappointing. $150 meal and we left hungry. The bathrooms are gross, barely gas station quality. Will not return.

    My son and I went there for Thanksgiving. I wanted it to be good since the prior year we were not able to get together. We got our salads and it took 90 minutes for us to get our main dinner afterwards. We were ready to leave since the valet man warned us we had 2 hours to use the garage. After that was clarified with the manager , we sat to wait for our plate instead of taking it to go. The turkey was lukewarm but the stuffing was warm, as was the side dish. The only other surprise was that dinner was advertised at 44.00 per person and then we were billed 5.00 for each salad, and another fee for whipped cream on desert (that nobody asked us about). We should have gone elsewhere. But… lesson learned.

    Went for Thanksgiving meal. I looked forward to lamb chops which was previously on the appetizer menu, very disappointed that you no longer carried it. Enjoyed the veal ravioli instead. The service was excellent fro the hostess at the front desk to the server. Thank you very much.

    We went for the holiday special. Portion size was terrible and it looked more like scraps than actual sliced turkey. The flavor was ok but all around not a feast I’ll be returning to. My daughters steak looked and tasted very good. The service was meh. The waiter took long breaks in between checking on us. Also, I tried calling to get information about parking and no one answered. I had to walk in the restaurant to ask my question. Which the riverwalk location does validate the parking. I won’t say it was a terrible experience but wasn’t the best.

    The service and the food was outstanding, My wife and I have spent the last four years celebrating Thanksgiving there and our waiter Jarvis has always been top notch and pleasant. This will certainly be our continued tradition.

    Celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday at the downdown restaurant. There were three in my party and all had the same entree of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, greenbeans, and sweet potato casserole. the food was palatable but the greenbeans could have been cooked alittle longer, the stuffing was not to my liking more of a creole stlyle with hot sausage in it. The sweet potato casserole really lacked much flavor with a cinamon crust on top no pecans or whipped cream shame shame. And the mashed potatoes wasn't anything to write home about. This being said it wont keep from going back I just wont go back for turkey dinner.

    It took an hour after ordering to get our food. Then the potatoes were raw. The replacement (fries) took 20 minutes and were burned. 3 hours there, terrible food, bad service and they didn’t take anything off the bill.

    I love Ruth’s Chris. San Diego, CanCun, Chicago etc etc. This restaurant is not RC. And if it is, it’s a fraud. The wedge salad: no bacon, no onion and no wedge!!! It’s a garden salad. The meat never arrived after 90 minutes we decided to leave. Not before talking to the manager. He explained that they had a lot of private events and ran out of food. But they still charged us for the non wedge, bread and water. I don’t mind the charge. But when you plan special dinner. And receive. A non dinner it’s just wrong.

    The food was outstanding; but the service was extremely disappointing the server forgot one of the drinks never brought out the appetizer we order, he never offer additional drinks overall if you want an outstanding meal I will not recommend Ruth Chris; the noise level was insane for a 5 star restaurant was extremely dissatisfied.

    We were shown to a 4 top that was 4 feet and in direct sight line to the servers kitchen door. The constant noise and traffic was just unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber. I requested a different table (many available) and was told no. Our food took way too long. The manager apologized for the delay, then it took another 30 minutes. Over 2 1/2 hours. My steak was dry and my sons fries were cold. Disappointed doesn’t begin to cover it.

    First time at RC San Antonio. Very hectic entrance through Hilton lobby. Nice dining room. T bone steak ordered med rare. Got very rare. Was too chopped up to cook more. Expensive scalloped potatoes side was awful. Oyster Rockefeller appetizer made with tiny oysters. Room filled up by end of meal so my wife and I could no converse and resorted to hand signals. We won’t be back.

    Was ok enough. Unfortunately the garlic mashed potatoes had wax paper in it and table did not get the ordered asparagus until the meal was nearly done. All the other food we ate was very good, except for the banana desert, which was less than average with all that excessive cream filling. The dinning atmosphere was quite nice. Thank you.

    I think they were overwhelmed with the Volume of people. Waited an hour while seated. Had to ask for bread, they forgot our appetizer. The salad was drenched in oil and no dressing. The. Caesar dressing was runny on my husbands salad. It was a bad night but the server was amazing.

    Absolutely horrible service. Asked for a Medium rare steak came out as boot leather. Service was extremely slow. Took over an hour even get our salads. Others in my party also complained about the steaks. I sent my steak back. Didn’t want another one because of how long service was taking. Won’t be back. Place needs a reboot.

    This was our first time coming to Ruth’s Chris. We had received gift cards from family this past Christmas and we decided to use them and come celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. The server was super nice and friendly, she was very knowledgeable of the menu and recommended some great things to us. The ambiance of the restaurant was perfect for our dinner and the decor and attention to detail left quite the impression. We ordered the Veal Osso Bucco Ravioli to start and it was delicious, it was seasoned well and beautifully plated. The Tomahawk Steak and Lamb chops we ordered were tender and cooked to a perfect medium-rare and the sides we ordered to accompany it were delicious as well; The grilled asparagus were some of the best I’ve had and the Potatoes Au Gratin were devine in their creamy cheese sauce. Our drinks paired well with everything we were served and looked beautiful as well. We were even greeted by the General Manager and Executive Chef, which made us feel very respected. Overall our experience was amazing and I cannot be happier with having chose Ruth’s Chris for this special occasion, we would definitely love to come again.

    Our server acted very rushed every time she came to our table. Then we’d see her just hanging out talking with ber friend. She never refilled our wine glasses, never asked about fresh ground pepper for salad. Overall just not the type of service I’ve come to expect from Ruth Chris.

    Enjoyed sitting outside and watching the boat parade on the river walk. Filet was perfect, sides were ver disappointing- spinach was cold and potatoes au gratin were not cooked enough and almost raw. Dessert was good. Service was fantastic.
