Seasons 52 - Oak Brook
Good food and atmosphere for business lunch.
I ordered pork tenderloin, smashed sweet potatoes & charred cauliflower. The meat was so dry and over cooked i couldn’t eat it. The cauliflower was charred, dry & tasteless. The presentation was bland, looked liked they just threw leftovers on a plate. The waiter finally came over to ask how our dinner was & he agreed the meat looked way over cooked. He ordered another for me but by the time it came out, my husband was finished eating. I’m no chef but am a good cook. My first dinner should never have left the kitchen. We have eaten @ Seasons 52 in Florida many times & never had a bad meal so we were surprised & disappointed at the Oakbrook location.
It was a birthday dinner. The Chilean sea bass was smaller than expected. On the up side, Albert (our waiter) offered us free desserts to make up for the small portion
Great friendly server and wonderful steak salad. Nice ambiance.
Great atmosphere, great service and delicious food.
It is easy to take pot shots at a restaurants effort to make your dining experience enjoyable. So I will keep that in mind when I tell you how this restaurant establishment treats their guests. Most of us remember making reservations without open table and waiting a half hour or sometimes longer to be seated. I often wondered what was the point of making a reservation if we still had to wait to be seated. Open table change that in my experience almost completely. It almost seems that restaurants are concerned that you have a growing forum to tell people about there actions if they don’t take care of you like they should. Well, it seems Seasons 52 did not get the message. My wife and I visited seasons 52 last night to celebrate our anniversary. Our reservation was for two at 7:30. keep in mind that open table reservations were available on 15 minute increments without any blocked out times reassuring me that even if they were busy with walk in customers they could still accommodate call in or or online reservations. The bottom line is we waited almost an hour to be seated. This is unacceptable and I’m certain if I didn’t show up to reservations I made through OpenTable there would be repercussions. In fairness to the establishment the manager did offer a comped meal for my wife and I. We declined her offer. In addition to paying the bill we included a 30% gratuity to the server who went out of her way to make our meal enjoyable. I guess the best way to sum this up is don’t expect Season 52 to respect you as a customer as most other establishments will. You’re gonna wait to be seated!
Was a little concerned when we arrived about 30 people waiting before us. Not sure why they have reservations if you have to wait. This time wasn’t thAt bad about 15 minutes prior visits were more like at least 30 minutes.
Have dined here often. The food and service is always very good. I always prefer atmosphere of bar. Unlike the big booth seating. We had a bit of a wait for our reservation and manager picked up our drinks. This was a very nice surprise and very much appreciated.
Love that you can tell how many calories you are consuming. Food is good and fresh
Wonderful experience. Jessica was an outstanding server which added to the evening. Impossible to order a bad meal. Excellent gluten free menu. Thanks for a great Saturday evening.
Once again great!
Gluten free menu and they cook everything in separate pans. Flat bread was delicious and hubby loved his crab cakes. Dessert flight was amazing. Service by Nova was exceptional.
Delicious food, great service. Will not wait for another special occasion
Had a good dinner and enjoyed drinks.
Have already been contacted by restaurant through social media.
We have always enjoyed Season's 52 and we have visited 2 locations. Food is consistently good and service attentive. For the quality of food, a good value proposition. At this visit I had the Chilean Sea Bass and it was fabulous.
Our server was very very good. She was professional and attentive and friendly. I only gave 4 stars because of two dishes. the mac and cheese was not that good...and the arugula 'salad' that came with the lasagne my dad ordered had no visible dressing on it.
Otherwise, I love Seasons 52 for it's freshness and the choices for me, as a vegetarian.
Great experience no issues
the wait to get food is too long, and the service was ok
Tried the pork tenderloin and lamb for the first time. Both were delicious. Consistently good place, never disappoints.
Another enjoyable evening at Seasons 52. While the food is terrific, the thing that prompts us to select this restaurant over others is the staff!
Always fantastic food and service. Good Wine selection.
Wonderful portion-sized food with good drinks and apps. There is a large selection of wines and a little something food-wise for everyone! Highly recommend, but expect to pay up.
Great venue for a celebratory lunch honoring a recent graduate. The food was great and the ambience was comfortable, even for a table of nine people. We could hear each other speak with no problem. Erik was a wonderful server, just the right balance of attention and sensitivity to the ebb and flow of our conversation. He had a good sense of humor. I was glad to have chosen this restaurant post-graduation.
Jo Jo was an excellent server - she made the experience so much fun! Loved her personality!
Food and service is always consistently good at Seasons 52!
Well the Birthday boy didn’t want any hoopla so he graciously accepted his free 60th Birthday treat.
Guess they stopped giving certificates for next visit?
Great food, great service! Awesome happy hour!
I ordered the trout, which is normally delicious, but it was so highly seasoned it was inedible. It was very disappointing. The customer can always add salt. I didn’t have the time to send the dinner back to be replaced!
Baked Mushrooms stuffed with crab and shrimp on creamed spinach. Caught Wild Alaskan Salmon was delicious! Summertime Squash was a treat. Also had the Entree Salmon (blackened) Salad was a myriad of fresh flavors.
Not our first time there so I have other experiences to compare with. The food was excellent. Sea bass was out of this world. We were seated in the back room which looks like an overflow space. The ambiance is not as nice as the main hall, so it takes away from the overall experience. A bit on the expensive side, but definitely worth a try for anyone that hasn't done so.
Outstanding service, warm ambiance and delicious food with a variety of choices.
The food was delicious. What stood out to us was that our waiter did not rush us. My husband finished eating before me. Typically the wait staff wisk away his plate before I'm done eating. We were pleasantly surprised that our waiter just stopped by to ensure we didn't need anything else. He did not come to pick up our plates until I was done. I was able to finish my meal without being rushed.
Unfortunately, I don't remember our waiter's name. Our experience will definitely bring us back again.
Food is tasty and fresh. Our server, Reese, was awesome!
We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip and they brought VERY HARD CRACKERS. I asked for bread and was told they don’t have any bread .
Dinner was scallops which had good reviews but were pale with grill marks not carmelized. Broccolini was good - risotto was smooth but had a very small taste portion on the plate - less than 1/4 cup.
Overall- middle of the road - probably won’t go back .
Overall good with a couple of points off. Our server took our drink orders and then promptly brought the wrong drinks to the table, annoying but not the end of world. Food was hot and ok, the whole meal moved along fairly slowly (we were not in a hurry, but still sluggish). Then we ordered Irish Coffee's, they came without any whipped cream. I have never had an Irish Coffee presented without whipped cream - disappointing at best. These two items (given the approx. $280 (with tip) for four people) cause me to be not as happy as I would have been with the experience.
Good food and good value. Server was not “on point” during the evening, just average. She did help with tastes of our original wine orders. Really like the ambiance of the bar area booths. Will definitely return.
I love this restaurant and our server was phenomenal.
Great seasonal specialities. Very different food. They celebrate the seasons!!! Service excellent and friendly. Our server wanted to be there. Very nice ambiance. A favorite place
Always love Seasons 52! Food and service are excellent; good choice of wines. Love the calorie count with each selection!!
