Sedgley Place

Always a fantastic meal, every course! A great atmosphere at a slower pace to give lots of time to enjoy your company. We are fully satisfied with every visit.

The service was ok. It was very noisy and at previous visits the food was much better tasting. My soup was not very hot.
I may try it again just to see if this is a one time occasion.

We have been to Sedgley Place several times over the years; however, this year we invited some people to join us for a Birthday celebration who had never been to Sedgley, they were very impressed and loved the atmosphere.

The service was excellent. The appetizers and main course were varied, flavorful and very well prepared. They are very accommodating for children The cheese plate was a bit lacking but may have been due to the pandemic. Good place for a quiet dinner.

We have been going for years and this was one of the best! Our server was the best and the meal fabulous!

Excellent food and atmosphere! We were celebrating a retirement and they had a card on the table. Very prompt waiter and attentive. Every course was excellent!

Good food. You cant do food substitutions on your meal. Price is a bit high but worth it. A little too quiet. It feels like everyone else is listening to you.

There were 4 of us dining and we were all new to Sedgley Place. Everyone was very pleased our meals. The place was extremely busy as it was NYE and the service was still quite good. I can't wait to return!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Sedgley Place. The ambiance is lovely. It is a wonderful warm cozy atmosphere. It is decorated with Christmas lights which give it this lovely low soft lighting. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The food was phenomenal. It is a 5 course meal. I thought they did a great job spreading out the courses. Everything was prepared perfectly. The drinks were wonderful too! I cannot wait to go back again!

First time dining here since under new ownership. As always, Sedgely Place is one of our favorite places for a special, relaxing, delicious meal. Ambiance, service, and food here is always top notch. Thanksgiving dinner here, was a first for us. You definitely won't leave here hungry. Superb, as any other time we've been here!

We celebrate my wife’s birthday every year at Sedgley Place, and this year did not disappoint. Although the entrees are consistently savory, delicious, and cooked to perfection, our meal this year was spectacular!

Always one of our favorite places, we have been going for 30 years. The food and atmosphere are outstanding. They have put great effort in keeping all safe with Covid protocol. My only negative feedback is with feeling rushed, in fairness to the restaurant they were very clear that with the early seating you only have so much time and if you opt for the later seating you can stay as long as you like. Unfortunately the later seating is too late for me! So with that said, I Really felt rushed this time. Had to order before drinks were delivered and really not enough time to look at the menu and enjoy. But we were out in plenty of time! I hope they can stay open for years to come!

We love the Sedgley Place. My husband and I go for many special occassions for the past 37 years starting off with our engagement to this recent visit for my 66th birthday. Everyone is so friendly, compassionate. Food is so delicious from beginning to end.

The ambience the service the food the cleanliness was outstanding I have not found another restaurant in Maine or even New England that even comes close to this outstanding establishment.

Dinner was very good everything was cooked perfectly! Veal chop was delicious and my girlfriend had a killer prime rib

It's been years since we last dined at Sedgeley Place and are so glad we returned. The 5 course spread was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was divine while practicing appoved social distancing measures. The waitress and the entire staff were fantastic. I wonder why we had been sooner but I guarantee we'll be going again real soon

Service and meal was fabulous. We went for a 5pm seating and the dining area was fairly quiet. Tables spaced out. Mostly parties of two or three.
Towards the end of our meal, a party of 8 came in an they were seated right next to us.
They were very loud and for some reason they felt they needed to shout to each other across the table.
Other than that, it was a wonderful dining experience.

A wonderful place to spend an evening. Cheery waitress. Amazing food! Be aware it's a little $$$.

I have been a satisfied patron of the Sedgley Place in Greene Maine for more than 20 years. Although this fine dinning establishment has been through some ownership changes it has never lost its elegant charm. The food and the service are excellent! Everything from the five courses served to the quaint ambience are beyond delightful. It is an experience that everyone visiting or native can cherish. Over the years I have taken my Wife, Mother and Friends and they as well as I are always looking forward to our next visit. Here's a health to the next 20 years Sedgley!

The service and atmosphere is like nothing I've ever experienced. Had an absolutely wonderful time celebrating a friend. The Sever was fabulous and took extra special care of the birthday guest.

We were there celebrating our 13th Anniversary! The food, and staff were excellent!

We had never been even though we live in the area. We went and it was fabulous. Everything was perfectly executed and comparable quality to what we pay twice as much for at another Place we like to go!!! My husband had the prime rib and I had the pork tenderloin. I honestly think they could charge more than they do. We were able to have a nice conversation. It is old world feeling small and sweet characteristics.
