Sequoia

A really nice place to go to for a one on one setting or a group.

Sequoia is not a cheap date. But even during COVID-19, it’s well worth the $$$. The food is delicious, the drinks are perfection, the service is on point. They’re handling the covid precautions like champs. We ate dinner outside and were cozy with the warm cocktails and space heaters.

It was great experience unfortunately due to no dine-in the weather was cold for outside seating and the hear didn't do much, but the food and the service were outstanding. I will definitely go back and when the weather is warmer or when I can dine-in.

We were very pleased with the winter outdoor dining experience at Sequoia. It is truly open air (no "COVID Cabanas" here), so you are exposed to the breeze and any precipitation. Tables are spaced appropriately (6+ feet between seated guests). There are propane heaters between the tables. It was warm enough that afternoon / we dressed warmly enough that we didn't ask to have ours turned on. The staff were all very welcoming and working hard.

I came to celebrate my friend’s birthday and it was amazing..they gave a nice cake and sparkle for her. It was by the water it was just wonderful would recommend for anyone looking for a good brunch and mimosos with good service

Ate outside in 38 degree weather...managed well with heat lamps.

We visited Sequoia for my wife birthday on a Saturday for brunch. They were able to create a safe environment outside with space heaters and fire pits. Upon arrival we learned about their contact tracing and really appreciated how serious they were treating the virus. The service and food was phenomenal and I would highly recommend Sequoia!

My family had a great time. Though the menu was extremely limited due to COVID and they were out of a few menu items, they made up for it in service and amazing quality food!

It was an amazing experience, and I am so grateful for the manager on staff that night. She was able to assist me with creating a memorable night for my fiancé and I. I would recommend 10/10 for proposal dinners/celebrations.

The place advertised a special NYE dinner menu in several articles and local blogs. However, the whole experience was very poor. Service was slow and waiters had no idea what the menu was. Food was extremely overpriced and disappointing - CHILI CRAB FRIED RICE was OK, nothing special; SEQUOIA CIOPPINO was terrible! Do not recommend it, especially for $38. Cocktails were jammy and I'm pretty sure they were giving a short pour while charging for a full one. Also, the dry fog machine was broken so the SCARLET FOG didn't have the fog (no discounts or another solution was offered).

Anyway... very overpriced, poor service, tasteless food, and terrible cocktails.

The service was exceptional. It started drizzling during our meal and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, while also following covid regulations. In addition to the staff, the food was amazing. The oysters were fresh and the drinks were great. Will definitely be going back.

This place is amazing!! The views are breathtaking and has a great relaxed ambiance. The food was incredible!

If I lived in DC, I would be there every Sunday!

If you are visiting from out of town like I was, plan to be there for brunch on a weekend and then walk to Georgetown. It’s just few blocks away.

This was a lovely place, and I can't remember being anywhere that service was a quick and elegant as this place.

My friend and I had an amazing experience at Sequoia. The innovative way to serve a brunch buffet was very unique. The food was amazing The ambiance was terrific. It's a must visit on your next trip in foggy bottom.

Great seating overlooking the plaza and river on a spectacular day! Delicious food and bottomless cocktails, with diligent but unobtrusive service.

The Saturday brunch was delicious. The food variety was great and the bottomless drinks are awesome. It is a great deal especially since it includes a variety of seafood. Would highly recommend.

I went there for my birthday and it was absolutely amazing, the food was great, the view was nice. I will definitely recommend it!

This was a great brunch for my friends and I. The staff was great, the music was great and the food was Amazing! It was worth every penny. We will be going back soon.

Birthday dinner for a friend

I would recommend serving traditional eggs Benedict on English muffins rather than on cornbread as currently served.

Our waiter Pete was great. He was patient and over accommodating to us. Our food was great. I enjoyed the new alternative of Tapas versus the usual Buffet because of COVID. The ambiance was great as usual. Wouldn’t change anything from our visit.

service was good, the server was a bid confuse with the special menu number of side dishes per person, the prime rib was tuff and had a bitter brown sauce on top. sides were very good, crab cakes were excellent.

Came here for their thanksgiving PF, everything was excellent! I used to come for their buffet every year but still wanted to support them regardless of Covid. Service was phenomenal and food was plentiful and delicious. Thank you all for being there!

Went for the Pre Fixe Thanksgiving menu which was a bad idea. The salads were too sweet followed by sides that were also overwhelming sweet. I've been to Sequoia plenty of times before and would recommend them for their regular menus not Thanksgiving.

Atmosphere and food was great! Will go back again for Saturday brunch.

Everything was GREAT! We celebrated my father's birthday and he loved it immensely.

Despite feeling like my family was being watched the whole night by one of the hostess with the blonde hair we had a great time.The food came out all at once and was hot and delicious.We bought our own Cale (paid $3) each person.They bought the Cake out with a sparkle which was cool.The servers were excellent and so was our waitress Unfortunately I will not be returning and not because of the food or service but because I was offended that my family was being watched so closely, it’s was uncomfortable and rude
