    The Osso Buco is SOOOOOO GOOD. Falls off your fork. Love the vibe snd the space. And the wine list is off the hook. Love this Portland gem. Reminds me of Zuni in SF

    Four of us really enjoyed our meals--Caesar salad, rigatoni, chili shrimp, Niçoise salad, arugula pizza, halibut and a couple of deserts, one with a birthday candle. Everything was delicious. Great wine choices, we especially enjoyed the Italian Pinot Grigio served by the glass. Service was excellent. Ambiance was very enjoyable; it was not an inexpensive evening for our family of four so we were very happy with everything about it. We will recommend to others and we will be back!

    One of the better Italian restaurants in town. Well balanced seasonings. Salad dressings in particular were near perfect. Halibut was cooked near ideally, with interesting and tasty accompaniment. Good value too.

    The space has a rustic and slightly old-world feel, with lovely wood floors and ceiling beams. The lighting adds ambiance, along with wrought-iron chandeliers. The food was delicious, though the portions may be relatively small. I would recommend adding a starter to the meal. There’s an extensive wine list but you cannot sample anything and even local wines are priced pretty far above what you spend for the same wine at the supermarket. I know this is fairly normal but it’s always annoying! Finally, for me, I found the service lacking. We made reservations but we’re then seated at a tiny table next to the wall & hallway to the restrooms, despite the room we were in being almost empty. Our server seemed to forget about us throughout but apologized constantly, instead of just paying us more attention. We had items delivered to our table that weren’t ours at least twice, so either he was making mistakes or others were but I’ve honestly never had that happen once, in all my years of dining out, much less twice! Even worse, the server, upon seeing the wrong drink had been delivered, took that drink to the correct table, on my word alone that we hadn’t touched it. It had been sitting at our table for several minutes. From a food safety perspective, the drink should have been remade. I was honestly surprised at this lack of concern. I am not certain I will go back, just because of that.

    We had not been to Serrattos since before Covid. We have been missing out and planning to go bac for dinner very soon. The scallops, caesar salad, risotto and desert were excellent.

    Food was good; service was good… but… the server should have offered bread & asked the size of the pasta portions we wanted. I must say that I have never had a hostess come tell me it was time for us to leave! “The next reservation is here to eat.” I think that is very inappropriate! We had NOT OVERSTAYED our reservation!

    Fish was very overcooked, waiter seemed disinterested and didn't really have any idea of what the wines were. It's usually a favorite of mine. It was a slow thursday night and we were in no rush.

    Such a great spot for date night! The food was amazing from the Burrata salad to the absolutely divine Rigatoni. Hubby had the Seared Scallops and he raved about it for the rest of the week. Our server, Julia, was a delight. She was knowledgeable about the menu and stirred us in the perfect direction for our entire meal. We truly loved our dinner at Serrato and look forward to our next visit.

    Love this neighborhood eatery. It's open yet warm and cozy. Great service and good food. Bar seating is usually available and the seats are comfortable encouraging you to stay a little longer.

    The Good: Waitress moved us to a better table Crab salad The Bad: First table we sat at was tilting against a corner wall. Table and area should not be used for seating. The lamb was cold. dry and you could tell it was premade and reheated. The duck dish was not a French duck confit dish! No one was managing the waitress/waiter staff. Tough to get service. Our waiter was wiping a spill on the floor at a table near us with his foot and hand picked up the cloth. He went to the kitchen and returned quickly to give us a dessert menu. We know he did not was his hands. Desserts were nothing special. The restaurant looks tired need a upgrade decorations. Would we return. NOPE! Try Lucca a much better experience.

    I think this is a great restaurant for special occasions. The food is on the pricier side, which is why I recommend it for those kinds of events. They do have good happy hour deals, but unfortunately it only happens from 4 to 5 p.m. Since we were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday during our last visit, we were willing to splurge on the meal. I had the salmon as my entrée, and we shared the Margherita pizza as an appetizer. Both were excellent. He ordered the burger, and thought it was very good. Our server also went above and beyond to make sure we had an enjoyable meal, which made it even better. We will definitely visit Serrato again in the future for another special occasion.

    Our second recent visit to Serratto, and the experience was again excellent. Of particular interest was the special -- a cassoulet. It was exceptional, and we ordered a second one to take home! On every visit we've felt well looked-after and been served excellent food. In addition to the cassoulet, both the beet salad and the burrata were very good.
