Shaw's Crab House Oyster Bar - Chicago
Today the wait time was too long, despite the fact that we arrived 20 minutes before our reservation, the front service waitress took too long to get us our table, we had to remind her 3 times that we were waiting, She provided seats to people that arrived after us, but we had the first reservation at 11 am
Great food, nice place to share with friends and family
High quality oysters, delicious, great sides and Francisco our server was terrific. Thank you!
Lively and fun atmosphere. Food and service was outstanding!
Consistently great experience.
Everything was great. Food was very fresh and had wonderful flavor.
A go to for us when visiting Chicago
Food and service were great!!
They could not find our Open Table Reservation in their system. We showed them our confirmation. They were very accommodating in getting our group seated in a timely matter.
We had oysters, sushi, dinner & desert, all we excellent.
We had a great experience.
Birthday. It was obvious that the waiter was not very in tune with the customers in the oyster bar. Main dining room is much more attentive.
Service was terrific! The food and variety excellent. Ambiance cozy.
Hands down - Shaw’s has the best weekend buffet in the city!!
Food was good but service was subpar. Asked 3 times for bread. Some had buffet and they were slow on clearing plates. Seated 5 large people at a small table..we asjed to be moved..hotess was very snotty. They did move us. Dissappointed compared with other visits
Chicken wings were tough, crab cakes were less crab than the filler, no oyster Rockefeller, key lime dessert was lacking tart taste
Shaws has long been one of my favorite Chicago restaurants. Our family went for Sunday brunch for the first time this weekend. The assortment and quality of the food was really remarkable. We really enjoyed it.
It's quite expensive, but is without a doubt THE BEST brunch in Chicago!
Great food and service. I will definitely be back.
Shaw’s is hands down my favorite brunch destination. The food, staff and atmosphere are amazing. Your options are endless. The mini waffles are a must. The seafood is superb. FYI, even with the brunch buffet, they are full service. Our server let us know she could grab anything we wanted. It’s a nice way to avoid the lines.
Great first brunch experience at Shaw’s.
The Sunday Brunch was fantastic! Our friends in Kentucky recommended Shaw’s and we loved it! Our boys are older and enjoyed the seafood selection!
WE HAVE BEEN HERE A FEW TIMES AND THE FOOD WAS ALWAYS GREAT. IT SEEMS THOUGH THAT THERE WAS MORE VARIETY THE LAST TIME WE WERE HERE FOR BRUNCH'
ALTHOUGH THE TABLES HAVE NICE PLATES AND LINENS, THE RESTAURANT ITSELF SEEMS A BIT WORN. OUR SERVER KATHRINE?? WAS WONDERFUL. ATTENTIVE BUT NOT INTRUSIVE.
BUT FOR A PRICEY PLACE THEY SEEM TO LET PEOPLE IN THAT LOOK LIKE THEY JUST ROLLED OUT OF BED.WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO DRESSING FOR THE OCCASION??
Our bartender Sunday afternoon was excellent. The traffic from the buffet was a little bit too much. Other than that everything was great!
We were sat in a bar room siting area. A little to casual for a 400.00 brunch.
Ate in the Oyster Bar area, great waitress and good variety of food, offerings were great. Would go back for brunch again.
What a great time! Took the nephews for brunch and the boys were in heaven. It takes a lot to impress the kids. I even got them to wear ugly Christmas sweaters for the $25. Coupons and they loved it!!!
Really great time, pricy but worth it!
Awesome as always
We had a pleasant lunch the day after Thanksgiving
We were well taken care of from the very beginning by Amanda and then by our server. I can't remember his name but he was exceptional. That alone would make us come back but it just happens the food was marvelous. My family couldn't have been happier. All they could do is talk about the food. Thank you Shaw's for a lovely Thanksgiving.
We went to Shaws Crab House for their Thanksgiving Buffet. The food was good, but we were seated in the Oyster Bar at a tiny high top that touched another hightop table that sat four. On our other side was the isle where servers bustled by with dirty dishes and the buffet line was forming up. It was not the atmosphere that I had imagined when I made reservations for this $75.00 buffet. Had we been seated in the dining room which had lovely tables with white linen tablecloths my review would have been more positive. I didn't expect to have Thanksgiving Dinner in a bar.
Best Sunday brunch ever! Wonderful staff and fabulous food- it’s Monday evening and I’m still stuffed
Shaw's Sunday Brunch is how brunch should be. A seafood lover & brunch lover's dream come true all in one place!
Shaw's has a great brunch available both on Saturdays and Sundays. All the choices I had were super except for the Oysters, which were very small but tasty. The were a type I had not had before. Plymouth Rock. This is being a bit picky since everything else was excellent. Loads of Breakfast and Lunch choices. Well worth the money.
The place is the spot in Chicago to eat sea food. Good location and excellent service.
Remind me never to eat there on a Sunday with the brunch going on.
Loved the brunch! Soooo much crab! Definitely going back!
My family and I enjoyed our EASTER brunch. I didn't approve 20 dollar charge for a 2 year old .
The food was good in a nice atmosphere but I guess I was confused. The Schaumburg location was $55 pp and the downtown $79. Thats a big difference for easter brunch. The champagnes were over over over priced too. We ended up spending 800 + tim for 6 people at Easter. I thnk thats a little high
I was looking forward to Brunch for my Born day. I was highly disappointed at how inconvenient the food was set up and how disorganized Shaw's staff was. I've been to Shaw's several times and I've never received this type of service.
