Restaurant was mostly empty. Menu wasn't extensive, but there was something for everyone.
The mushroom ravioli was beautifully presented and tasty. The herb crusted salmon was overdone and nothing to write home about. The special was similarly OK, but nothing great....certainly not worth the price tag.
For the price and location, there a LOT better restaurants.
If you are in the mood for a breakfast omelette, this is the place! Fresh juice and excellent pastry choice as well.
A perfect mushroom omelette what a way to start the day! Attentive service with a smile !
Excellent food, always well plated and tasty! One forgets that one is in a hotel while dining @Signatures. Memorable wild mushrooms & quinoa appetizer. Delicious deserts. Good choice of wines.
The buffet was the best that I ever had in Toronto, we have been to lots of high end buffets. The dishes were made super fresh and the variety was excellent!! We highly recommend Signatures for the top quality buffet!! Best kept secret!! The croissant was just like the ones that you eat in Paris, absolutely delicious!!
I never write reviews but this was worth writing and letting people know the quality of this place.
We have a lovely Mothers Day Brunch at Signatures. The buffet was very impressive with a wide variety of tasty food and treats. Impossible to try everything. There was the usual breakfast foods, plus beef, chicken and lamb dishes plus a variety of desserts. Endless coffee focused attention. Warm greetings and service.
This is our new favourite restaurant when we are going to a show at Koerner Hall. Service is quite good, and the food is excellent. Also, if you feel like a little different, ask for the bar menu, as they have really good food on that menu as well.
Does not disappoint ....
We highly recommend the beautifully presented “ wild mushrooms and quinoa.”. Luckily morelles are in season now, a real treat! It was so appealing that we unfortunately forgot to take a picture .....
Breakfast here never disappoints .... including very special organic eggs!
An excellent choice for any meal. Service is attentive and the chef does the menu very well. Our friends enjoyed joining us and will be back when in the area!
Perfect breakfast to start the day !
It was an amazing dinner and experience will be returning for sure!!!
Perfect omelette and cappuccino!
Great service in a cheerful decor for a perfect breakfast!
Excellent service and well prepared food makes this our favorite breakfast spot while in the city!
The service was outstanding, pleasant, professional, and unobtrusive. The food was good but I only had one dish so my basis is limited. I have difficulty hearing in rooms full of people talking loudly (i.e. in 90% of the smart restaurants in Toronto), and here the room was quiet and I suspect never is very noisy - no hard reflecting services or cheek-by-jowl tables. I would certainly go back.
Three of us dined at Signatures the other night, and the experience was excellent in every way. But particularly because two of us had food sensitivity issues, and the waiter and chef couldn't have been more accommodating. It was incredible! We all ordered the fish special, but two of us were offered substitutions for the starch and vegetable due to our food sensitivities, and I was offered not to use dairy in the dish. As well, when the waiter learned that I cannot eat gluten, he brought gluten-free toast (as well as oil instead of butter as I am also sensitive to dairy). It was all done with such warmth and kindness. Very quiet ambience, perfect for our conversation.
Visited on Valentines Day. Great restaurant. Delicious food. Good for dates and special occasions.
We enjoyed our Valentines dinner and Signatures exceeded our expectations!
Thank you 😊
We like to have Sunday Brunch at Signatures when we meet up with friends once or twice a year. The ambiance is warm and cozy, nice atmosphere for conversation and relaxation. Food and service is always excellent. Just as any hotel restaurant it’s a special occasion brunch a bit pricier than your average omelette, bagel lox etc but the portions are large and made with fresh ingredients. Lots of options for those with gluten intolerance and accommodating to food allergies. Definitely will dine at Signatures again.
Pleasantly surprised with the updated brunch menu, lots of choices that pleased our foursome.
An amuse bouche started the meal, wonderful scallop with rutabaga puree. Even though it was a cold Sunday, the room is very cosy and beautifully decorated with lots of windows overlooking the courtyard.
Attentive service, leisurely pace, and delicious food.
Attentive waiter and great ambiance! Wait staff didn't seem to work as a team ie: Restaurant wasn't busy but as our waiter was busy with another table, other wait staff filled up coffee/juice cups/glasses at there own tables and by-passed tables not there own to top up empty coffee/juice cups/glasses.
I get we're in Yorkville area but, Food/Drink value was on the high side for what was purchased: vegy omelette, a baked or fried 1/2 tomato, toast, coffee & juice $54. with 20% tip. Not much flavour to the omelette either.
great continental food--but portions were good. chef knows his onions.
We celebrated a family birthday in the beautifully renovated Signatures dining room. All three generations were delighted with the food. We felt completely spoiled by Chef Emmett. Thank you!
Our first time here, we will definitely be returning!
The service was friendly and food was tasty and well presented. The restaurant is fairly quiet even when there are a lot of people there.
Enjoyed the food and the service was great. My friends and I come fairly regularly for special occasions.
good service, very good food, easy to hear my companion's conversation.
Great atmosphere - delicious brunch options. A great place to enjoy a civilized luncheon where conversation can be had without concern of being rushed or competing with other conversations or noises.
We especially choose Signatures restaurant when we have an out-of-town guest, because we want to have good conversation for which there is not a lot of time. Signatures provides good food and friendly service in pleasant surroundings without distracting background noise.
I wasn't too happy with it. I went for breakfast. It took like 20 min for me to get the tea I asked for 4 different times. Finally the supervisor asked me how I was and brought me black tea. I ordered chamomile, but at that point I was too thirsty to care. Over 30 minutes after I first ordered I was still not served food. I complained to the supervisor and asked for my check. He apologized, checked on my order, and gave me 20% discount. I was grateful for him and the discount helped lessen the blow for being charged for tea twice. I wouldn't go back though.
We were there for summerlicious. We chose this restaurant because some of the dishes sounded quite flavourful...we were disappointed. The appetizer salad and the coleslaw with the main dish did not seem to have the vinaigrette that was supposed to come with it. I asked for the vinaigrette for the salad but when it happened again with the slaw as part of the main course I couldn’t be bothered once I realized why this too was bland. I like to have coffee before dessert and with dessert. The dessert arrived first. I saw my waiter walking around looking like he was looking for something in different locations. I waited for the coffee to arrive before eating my dessert. I asked for cream with the coffee but was given milk...perhaps a pitcher of cream is what the waiter had been searching for. The decor was fresh, comfortable and glamorous.
I registered my group for my birthday lunch during summerlicious time. The fried chicken was a little too dry. The food was ok definitely not awesome.
My main issue was the registration was through my email and I couldn’t correct it as my friend’s name Rose kept coming up there. I tried to edit the naoto correct it and your site wouldn’t allow me to edit it.
Very disappointed that there was only 3 mains on the menu... not the same as the menu displayed online.
Outstanding service - genuinely polite and attentive. The restaurant is inside the downtown InterContinental Hotel with a choice of indoor and outdoor dining. It was a tough choice as they were both very appealing. We ended up staying indoor and enjoyed the modern and contemporary decor and nice ambience. Food presentation was good and with just the right portion. Taste was excellent. $43 per person Summerlicious deal - exceptional value. I would actually pay regular price for that. A very pleasant experience. 5 Star.
The food is quite good, and seating falls into the category “practical “. It is seldom crowded and in summer offers extra tables on the patio. Service can be erratic. After being deposited by the maître d we had a good ten minute wait before a cheery young lady popped up — and thereafter service was just fine. The star tasting is an average between the performance of the maître d and the server. And, incidentally, the number of diners at the time was ten, max.
Hotel restaurant... not terrible but not a destination meal... eat if you're staying in the place but so much more atmosphere at many places nearby. The butter chicken is a nice Indian touch to the menu. The cocktail list could use a little bit more imagination.
The decor and the service were very good. However, I was not really impressed with the food. It lacked flavour. It was acceptable, but not better than average.
Took my mother for her 86th Birthday. One of the best steaks I have ever had and the potatoe puffs are out of this world. A truly memorable dinner.
