Great food, very professional service.
As it was a birthday dinner, we were treated to a tiramisu dessert.
Lovely evening overall.
The food was great and although staff were nice and friendly it took a long time for everything even though it wasn’t all that busy - even getting the bill took 15 minutes or so. All in all though it was a nice place, nice atmosphere and the lamb dish and peanut desserts were particularly amazing.
Really good food. Server was outstanding and very professional. Came here for my anniversary with my boyfriend and they were super sweet
Excellent service and food in a calm atmosphere and upper scale touch
excellent food !!!
Valentines menu was incredible, excellent evening overall
Best meal I had in Edmonton in a long time. I had the Valentines special. Prawns/scallops and then chicken with a small desert..
We sat in an amazing booth tucked in the corner across from the bar. Awesome experience.
Michael and duke make it a friendly and personal evening
Great food . Great service. Took the family this time and will make it a regular stop every time I go to Edmonton.
The staff is very professional and inviting. We were welcomed with a warm greeting and taken to our table immediately. Our server was helpful and courteous. The food was delicious.
It was a very quiet Saturday night. Service was impeccable, as always.
Great food and service. Friendly staff and great ambiance
À wonderful experience ! Delicious food! Outstanding service! Perfect ambiance !
Will be back... soon!
Excellent business lunch!
Experience was wonderful right from the moment we walked in from -30C weather! Brilliant service and exquisite food. Great value on an excellent Shiraz. Highly recommended. We will go again!
A longtime classic Italian restaurant. Great location for going to the Citadel afterwards as well. Service was excellent.
Very nice restaurant with a good menu. I was there with a customer, we both ordered pasta dishes. The portions were huge. Gluten free options exist.
Wonderful food! Superb service!
Food and service was great
As always the food and service was second to none!
We joined Sorrentino's for their New Year's Eve 4-7pm dinner sitting. It was our first time at this restaurant, and we were hoping for a delicious, authentic Italian meal. This restaurant did not disappoint! Our starters were a short rib dish and a burrata cheese heirloom tomato salad. Both dishes were stunning, both presentation and flavor-wise. Our entrees were a stuffed chicken breast and an heirloom mushroom truffle fresh ravioli. Again, these plates were absolutely beautiful and tasted divine. I understand why Sorrentino's is a recommended restaurant during a visit to Edmonton. I look forward to coming back soon!
The second of two holiday meal events we had at Sorrentino's at two different locations. Both both were in the top handful of restaurants meals we have had in several years. Excellent quality, appearance, flavour and service.
Food was ok. Prices a little high for the quality. Ambiance was disappointing.
We always enjoy our evening at Sorrentinos. This night however we had two issues. They brought me the wrong dish at first and had to wait over 15 for the correct one to arrive.
The next issue was waiting to pay. Our waiter brought us our bill but didnt come back to collect for over 15 min.
The food was great as usual but I have never had two incidents at the time. Inwas a little put out.
A perfect place for dinner, before attending the Symphony or the Citadel performance. Love the variety of food offered. Italian food has always been my favourite choice... Thank you.
We took my parents for dinner before going to see a concert at the Winspear Centre. The restaurant was busy, but the noise level was still very manageable. This was the first time dining here pre-show, so I had underestimated the amount of time we might ideally require in order to be served in a timely manner, and make it to our concert. The host informed us at our arrival that the timing would be tight, but that the staff would do everything they could to help get out the door on time and they delivered! The service was speedy but pleasant & professional, and no-one made us feel rushed. Our meals were all perfectly executed and served quickly, so we could enjoy them! Now I know to leave ourselves more time before a show if we choose to dine at Sorrentino's downtown, and I certainly expect that we will!
Overpriced, tired and pretentious for what is basically a chain restaurant. Server told us the wrong special and then did not remove it from the bill when my mom didn't get what she ordered. Won't be back, there's a lot better out there.
Classy and intimate feel, great food and good selection of wine. Service is very good. Great place for date nights.
I would say that the food was passable. I had the penne arrabiata which was very al dente, bordering on crunchy. Very tasty otherwise. The service was excellent. The atmosphere is dated, and not in a good way. I was reminded of a 1995 Boston Pizza. I booked through Open Table and was forced to take an early seating (5 pm), which made an awkward amount of time between our dinner and our 7:30 date with the ESO's concert we were attending. The restaurant was completely empty when we arrived. After they seated us, a large group of people arrived and were ushered into the same section as us. Instead of sitting, they milled around, drinking, and speaking loudly. They were having a great time, no harm in that but, I wish the restaurant would have seated us in an area that wouldn't have been affected by the melee, there was certainly enough tables to choose from. There is no sound abatement in this restaurant....at all, so don't plan on having a quiet or romantic conversation here. My ears were ringing by the time we left. As we were leaving a well dressed gentleman (who had greeted us upon our arrival) asked about our experience. I told him everything was great (I lied about the food because, maybe people like their pasta al dente?) except for the noise level. As soon as I said that he went cold and seemed to be bordering on hostile. ? I'm not sure what he wanted but, he didn't want to hear the truth. There's another restaurant across the street, Normand's. I think we'll try that next time as I don't believe Sorrentino's is worth the money. They're tired and old and they need to up their game in order to compete in this highly competitive industry.
Our food was amazing! The service was so friendly and accommodating.
Had a half order of cannelloni which was the best I I have ever had. My guest had the penne which he commented was very good.
Service was great. A most enjoyable lunch.
I would recommend for lunch, provided it's not the holiday season when there are large groups gathered.
The food was absolutely amazing! Our server interacted with us in a professional manner mixed with a casual humor that added to the enjoyment of the evening. We all look forward to a return visit!
The staff were moving tables around and making noise while we were eating.
The food was cold.
Had to wave staff down to take a dessert order after waiting almost 20 mins for them to come over.
Disappointing as I used to love going to Sorrentinos
Our maitre d' Mark was very helpful and a delight to converse with. Helped us celebrate our wives birthday with a special finishing touch. Thanks! Made it a very memorable evening.
The food was truly terrific!
It was my daughter’s 14th birthday, so I took her out for dinner before a musical close by. Our waitress was very attentive, overheard it was her birthday so gave her another Shirley temple and desert on the house. The food was good, standard Italian fare, but tasty.
Thank you for always having consistent food quality & friendly service.
