Starry Night Cafe
Service is excellent, while being friendly and inviting. The food is excellent. Looking forward to our next visit!
Great food and service
Very good filet mignon, excellent bar, and outstanding service.
The food was outstanding but what made it better was the excellent service. It was done in an unobtrusive way and made for the experience which was relaxing and enjoyable.
Starry Night never disappoints. Great food, service and atmosphere!
Our first experience at SNC was New Years Eve and it was wonderful! Can’t wait to go back!
Amazing food and very friendly and helpful staff. The perfect place for a special night out!
What a fabulous and beautiful place! Outstanding food, service, attention to detail, and ambiance! Everything was fantastic! Incredible food and drinks. Can not wait to come back!
we have been going to Starry Night for years with family and friends every time we return to our home roots in the Champlain Valley areas from San Francisco. We had a lovely meal, everyone enjoyed their choices and our waitress was very helpful and gracious--the food as amazing. What ruined the evening was the dismissive and negative attitude of the woman tending bar that evening. If she doesn't enjoy the job and banter with customers i suggest she try a new career. I was so put off by her nasty response to my husband's query about a cocktail she invented (a very creative and delicious drink called The Fig & The Fox) i doubt we will return next time we visit.
We are saddened to hear your experience with us was met with such an unfortunate circumstance. This occurrence stretches so far from everything we at Starry Night, hold at our core. Nonetheless, it is certainly something we will address and take to heart. We hope you will consider us again in the future and know this one occurrence is not reflective of Starry in its entirety. Above all else, we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and wish you a Happy New Year.
A small bowl of soup was $13.50! Small ordinary salad ith beets over $12.00. Salmon entree o.k. Dessertwas best part of meal! Staff very good and table service was great until the place got busy.
Exceptional entrees. Consistent food quality and service. Very nice craft cocktails.
Very Good dance floor.
Good live music bookings.
What a wonderful dining experience! There were four of us; we shared appetizers which were delightful. We each had a different entree and all were outstanding. Dessert was a maple creme brulee that was, by far, the best we ever had. Timing was perfect: we never felt rushed but never waited either. The atmosphere was warm, the staff friendly and welcoming as well as accomplished.
The food was delicious as usual and the service was great.
It was not the magical experience we usually have there.
The music was extremely loud and they were playing Pop music.
Not exactly dinner music. We asked our waitress to please turn down the music and
And have more appropriate music for the holidays and dining. Music was turned down slightly
But continued to play pop music. Really it’s the Christmas season!
Very disappointed the management did not listen to the customers request.
Dinner started with low conversation and then it became nearly impossible when a table of eight arrived mid way thru dinner. The back ground music didin't lend itself to our likes, very non Christmas Seasonal. RWC
Love Starry Night Cafe! Food is so delicious every time and service is always great!
We live about 15 min from the Starry Night. We made an early reservation because it was snowing like mad, and we just wanted a night out. The restaurant was quiet, and the service great - our waiter was a gentleman. The bartender is very good - had a drink (2 actually) called a White Night - a Barr Hill gin cocktail that was very good. Dinner was pork loin sitting on top of mashed potatoes with smokey cranberry sauce. Delicious- yes! Dessert was a fruity meringue tart - split w/ my husband. Excellent end to a good meal on a very snowy night. We like this restaurant because the food is always excellent, the wait staff superb, the wine list extensive, and the mixed drinks great. The building is an old farmhouse (I think) and it’s very tastefully done in a VT way - this whole place is like comfort food deluxe.
The restaurant was perfect but the room we were in could use a little more ambiance and certainly more heat. It was cold. The menu and service were both outstanding. The calamari was the best I’ve ever had.
We had driven by Starry Night Cafe on our trips to Vermont before and stopped one Sunday evening on a whim; the dinner was wonderful!
Although I have dined at Starry NIght Cafe many times I am always so delighted at how amazing it is. The food is delicious and the portions are ample. While they do not have a gluten free menu they are very accommodating for any folks with dietary restrictions. Their fancy cocktails are creative and delicious too. It is such a treat to go there. My only complaint is that it is too far from my home !
Beautiful food, excellent service, steak was a bit tough, or the knives were dull, or both. Rack of lamb had 1 tender piece, the rest were a struggle to get off the bone. Steak was a struggle. Calamari was delicious! Pork tenderloin and seafood also delicious! Desserts were insane! Wine was a tad overpriced.
This year, Thanksgiving is late enough that Starry night was still open for my mid-November birthday!!! Oh! I have missed this place. We haven't been in ages and will NOT let so much time go by again between visits. The atmosphere was just lovely with a fire in the fire place and beautiful candle lanterns all around. The service was WONDERFUL. Our server (April, IIRC) was ready with recommendations , which served us VERY well, and got very quick assists when we threw curveballs. Each course was better than the last. I recommend the sweet potato gratin and if you like caramel, be sure to taste the Sandeman's port they pour. Outstanding!
Great food and cocktails. Top notch service. Not inexpensive but fine as an occasional indulgence.
56th wedding anniversary and they barely acknowledge it didn’t do anything special.they were notified a head of time that it was a special occasion
One of our favorite restaurants in the world. Beautifully prepared meals with locally-sourced ingredients. Lovely environment and wonderful service.
Quite enjoyable and the service wa swell executed for a table of 6
Fantastic on all fronts! Amazing food, friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. You won't be disappointed !
As always, we loved every aspect of our meal. Wonderful food, terrific service, warm and friendly atmosphere, just the perfect place to spend an evening! Thanks to all.
We love Starry Night. It's our favorite restaurant for celebrations. However, my beef tenderloin was over-cooked (I had ordered medium rare; it came medium to well done), and our server never asked how it was. I could have sent it back, but doing that disrupts a meal with friends, and I did not want to do that. Also, the blueberry/peach crisp was just ordinary, not acceptable at Starry Night and certainly not at $8.50 a serving. We'll be looking for another favorite place.
Always enjoy our evenings at Starry Night! They are wonderful people
Wait staff are very knowledgeable
Rather disappointed with your restaurant Sunday night. Food was so-so and it was slow coming, almost a half an hour after we got our appetizer.
Have been wanting to try this place for years. Finally did. Service was outstanding. Food was just “ ok”. Ordered the Risotto. Was under cooked and watery.
Amazing service and amazing food. One of our favorite places!
Excellent service, food and ambiance.
Amanda and her team always delight. Best restaurant in the state!
The Starry Night is an incredibly special spot. My whole family loves it, and the food is always amazing!
Great all around! Great wine list with fun and unique descriptions.
My wife and I love this restaurant. The ambience is perfect, the waitstaff and bartenders are utterly delightful. And the food is spectacular. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.
