Outstanding restaurant with a beautiful interior. Our server was very attentive and the food was delicious
Amazing food, drinks, service, ambiance.
This was the best meal that my boyfriend and I have ever had. Impeccable food and fantastic service! We can’t wait to come back!
We had an amazing experience ! The food was fantastic, our server, Tatiana, was exceptional and the overall experience was above and beyond! Thank you for such a wonderful night!
Had a late 8:45 reservation, then someone from the kitchen served our dinner to a random table out of order causing an unusual wait after. Food was good, service was good, but the kitchen miss caused us to rush to finish and disrupted our enjoyment. Likely a one-off issue.
Great dinner and wonderful place. Reservations strongly recommended.
another reliably positive dining experience in our foodie town!
Excellent experience, although menu options were a bit limited.
Always consistent and a true dining experience. Highly recommend the mussels and sole Francois. Service was the best I have ever experienced there. Bravo, Street and Company.
You'll not be disappointed with the food or service.
Classy place. Haute cuisine. Superb scallops. Green beans all dente. This SC gal was overwhelmed on every level. Portland Wharf Street rocks.
Shared the mussels for appetizer and then we both had the sole francaise in the skillet for main course—just outstanding!
If you are looking for a relaxing quiet dinner then avoid this place! I have never been in a louder more chaotic restaurant and it was awful for anyone with noise sensitivity or anxiety. I literally could not hear my dining partner speak. Our tiny table was wedged in between 2 other tables with about 1 foot space so the servers behind was in my face half the time while she waited on the next table. We were so next to a bussing station so servers were constantly walking by to get cutlery and water. Our table was about 10 ft from the open kitchen and it was incredibly loud with banging dishes people yelling orders and smoke billowing throughout the room. The service was OK but they are so busy they won't come back to the table much. I had 1 drink and wasn't asked if I wanted another until dinner was over. My food was good. The tuna was excellent. My partner got the lobster fra diavalo and my mistake, we didn't ask market price and when we got the check just his meal was $86! Our desserts were excellent. We couldn't wait to leave and get some quiet and fresh air. There are 2 other dining rooms farther away from the kitchen so maybe our experience would have been better if we had sat there but I will not be going back to find out.
I ordered oysters for an appetizer. They were fresh and delicious. Others had the grilled octopus which was very delicate and wonderful. We all had some form of seafood which was perfectly done. All in all, a wonderful experience. I will definitely go here again when in Portland.
The portions are small but Todd
The wine pour for a glass was ridiculous.....25% of the glass
Food was excellent, had the local mussels and my spouse had the wild local mushroom dinners , both were delicious, Liz are server was the best very attentive but not overly , all staff was great , I see why they are highly rated. We set outside it was wonderful evening. Will be back next time we are in Portland
Great atmosphere and service. Love the decor and setup. We ordered 2 pasta dishes, it was tasty but overly salty. Mussels were amazing!!!
Garlic lovers will enjoy the food. Grilled lobster w linguine and 'garlic butter' had 4-5 Tb of chopped garlic. (Overpowered the nuance of a very hard shelled lobster). Same could be said for the clams. The scallops in pernod cream sauce was delicious, as was the smoked bluefish on crostini appetizer. Our server was professional and took good care of us. The bus staff was perhaps new in their positions. We could have had a feast if we accepted the misdirected drinks/food meant for other tables that was presented to us. We enjoyed the outside seating on Wharf Street. Fun to people watch the increasingly wobbly crowd pass by as the evening wore on ( or was it the cobblestones).
Our server was amazing. Anticipated every need and he was friendly. Portion sizes are generous and it’s a very cool open air atmosphere on an brick street with no vehicle traffic allowed.
First time in Portland ,Maine and was very impressive. Our meal was delicious, a must to have the Seafood FraDiablo, not real Spivey. Mouthwatering. Excellent service
Fantastic meal for each of us, Steelhead filet and Scallops. Actually outdid their sister restaurant, Fore Street Rest this time
First time dining at Street & Co and the food and service was amazing. Next time I am in Portland this will be one of the first restaurants on my list.
We found this restaurant extremely loud! we sat in the middle room with the open kitchen. The oysters were small and so salty that we couldn't even enjoy them.
My husband and I have frequented Street & Company for 15 years or so now. The food and service is still very good. The prices have dramatically increased likely because of numerous post-covid issues such as increase in food prices, supply chain problems, and the challenge of finding labor to work in the front and back end of the kitchen.
It's hard to say that the food and service is worth the price right now. My heart goes out to good restaurants like Street & Company that have to make tough choices. We will definitely try it again in a few months when hopefully prices become a bit more reasonable.
Overall the meal was good, although not as good as I remembered in the past. Everything seemed a little rushed, as the salad came before the cocktails. Our waiter was excellent, but he seemed as surprised as we were.
Lobster diavolo is absolutely fantastic. Definitely can feed 3!
Excellent food, great service and amazing atmosphere!
Excellent food and service, had cod. Clam linguini with white sauce, blue fish app, and octopus app, server recommended great wine to pair, we would definitely go back.
They serve my wife's appetizer 10 minutes ahead of serving mine. The cracker they gave us for the lobster was small and did not work and they had to give a salad tongs to try to break the claws on a lobster. They also did not serve any bibs with the lobster
This unfortunately was a pretty average experience. The night we went it was packed to the point of being able to touch the person at the table next to you. Their food was salient to the degree of inedibility. The drinks were ok, but nothing spectacular. It was just average and for the prices you’re paying.... it’s simply not worth it. There is a lot better food to be found in Portland for what you pay here. If I had to do it again, I would skip this completely and head to Fore Street or Solo Italiano. In my opinion, you’ll get much better service and amazing food.
Food was good , service was good. The wait was very long. Vanilla ice cream was amazing. The space was just too congested, so it made the ambience a little not perfect.
Fantastic!!! Great atmosphere!! Nice staff !! Swordfish was perfect
This is just such a great place and something of a unicorn as a veteran restaurant that has lost none of its excellence or relevance. Had the mussels to start and lobster linguini and sole francaise. Drank an excellent Sicilian Chardonnay called Planeta.
Decor and service compliment the food perfectly.
Amazing service and friendly staff. Dinner was delicious and ambiance so lovely.
We have eaten at Street and Company many times and enjoyed our meal as we always do. The food was excellent along with the service. The only criticism we have is that my husband's glass of white wine given to him was maybe 1/3 full. They could have been a little more generous with the amount they gave him! Otherwise, another wonderful dining experience.
Lobster wasn’t cooked. Chef said that was the way it should be. Our server Charlie was the best.
Wonderful meal, great service creative menu and delicious sauces,
Not a big fan of dogs on the patio. One of them was barking.
