Waited 30 minutes after our reservation to be seated. In the meantime, we watched two groups of 10 be seated before us. After speaking to the host 3 times, we were finally seated at a table that had been open from the time we arrived. Waited over an hour for our food, the appetizer we ordered was never brought to us. It was brought out with our meal. When I got my food, the food was cold. Keep in mind, I waited 45 mins for the food, and it was not even semi warm. The staff and managers were very apologetic of this issue and fixed everything. But I was not satisfied with my experience
Our server was absolutely awful for a party of 20.
The waitress was rude and barley even said hi to us. The place was dusty and dirty. The glasses for our water all were sticky, dirty, and had visible lip marks on them. The food was good, but seeing how dirty everything was made me not even want to eat the food. This place has really gone down hill.
Food was decent, milkshakes are overpriced, as well as the cocktails. Wife ordered the Chicken Alfredo it was on point really tasty, buffalo chicken was also good, nice size, kids loved the colorful mini burger appetizer. Inconvenient not to have a kids menu. Or small colorful soft drinks geared to younger children.
I had an 8:15 reservation for my daughters 12th birthday. I approached the desk at 8:45 to inquire what was going on. Hostess was extremely rude and stated “I haven’t even seated the 8a reservations. You need to wait for your page” We went across the street to Fogo De Chao where we were seated right away. At 9:30 we received our text that our table at Sugar Factory was ready. An hour and 15 min after my reservation time! Unacceptable
We had a reservation and were seated right away even though they were busy. Our waiter was attentive and checked in on us frequently. The drinks were fun and both they and the food were great! Would definitely recommend for a fun occasion.
You have to purchase the $100 desert if you any type of celebration etc. Completely ridiculous! I celebrated my birthday at the Orlando location and they allowed you to pick your bday song, didn’t require you to order $100 desert and the wait staff came to my table and danced!! We expected to have the same exact experience for my 6 year olds bday. Totally disappointed. The food arrived cold and was subpar overall.
I enjoyed my time at the Sugar Factory. The Drake Goblet and the food was amazing. The atmosphere was fun. I’ll definitely come again soon.
My kids enjoyed the experience. I didn’t not appreciate the table sizes and not having anywhere to sit my purse. My husbands drink fell on the floor and shattered because the tables were so small. I initially asked for a booth and they told us they were for parties of 5 or more. This was a great inconvenience for me. I wasn’t able to enjoy my food at all. Also the grilled cheese I ordered was very subpar. The cheese was only in the middle of the bread and with 3 pieces of bread I was not happy. My husbands martini was NOT a martini. It was juice. We were highly disappointed.
Our waiter was fun, service was excellent, food was delicious and the signature melon drink was worth the $36. My daughter loves it and wants to go back for her 10th birthday. She said she plans to "work there" when she gets old enough. We can't wait to go back the next time we are in Chicago.
Martinis looked nothing like what was pictured, presentation was not good I ordered 3 different drinks.
When you make a reservation they ask you if you have any special requests, I did . I asked for a booth which they didn’t have available they were booked when I got there for “my reservation “ that was annoying. I also said it was my wife’s birthday and they didn’t even bother to remember anything so they didn’t give a bday desert. When they sit us they gave us the worst sit in the back with crakes walls and cracked table. They said that’s the best they can do. The menus were so sticky it was disgusting. No point of making reservation with requests.
Service was great. Placed seemed outdated, cold, dirty and loud. Needs an overhaul with softer tones and better noise reducing structures. Food was way overpriced but good.
The price was insanely high for the service. We made reservations although there was absolutely no one in the place and it still took 20 minutes just to be seated. The waitresses were extremely rude and fussed about separating our checks since we had two families eating together. They never came by to check on us except for at the very end when we had to ask for the check. And to top it all off, their computer systems were down. We had to wait there even longer for the system to possibly come back on. Finally, I asked if we could see the check to see if we had enough cash to pay for it. The waitresses then gave us a very obnoxious “well, I guess, but we’ll have to write it out by hand.” It took them another 30 minutes to figure out how to add two meals together on two separate checks. We only had 4 meals between the two groups. How difficult could that be? The price of the meals were immensely pricey for what you got and the service was poor. Needless to say, I will never go back.
The place was amazing, front desk was amazing but the food and the service area was definitely not professional. Wings were cold, chicken and waffles were very funny tasting as if the waffle maker was not cleaned. When we asked to get the wings replaced the waiter asked to take my plate and show them to the manager. Which is very unsanitary. She argued with me as I asked her to bring out another order and she can then take the cold ones after. She insisted that the manager had to see them, so I said ok and she told my plate. She then brought it back and said she’ll bring our a new order. The waffle meal was exchanged for the chicken Alfredo which was very tasty.
Last but not least they brought out the entirely wrong Bday dessert. This was for my daughters 18th Bday I just wish we we not so busy worrying about the staff and food. It’s would of definitely been a great experience. It took away from her time to enjoy with her family.
I waited 45 minutes to get seated at a table when I had reservations at 9:00 and then my drink didn't taste anything like alcohol, not even 20 minutes and I was already given a to go box, at that point I felt rushed and didn't feel like ordering anymore. Overhyped and no coordinating to have people seated.
Service was very, very slow and the food was ok, but not great. Very loud, so it was quite difficult to hear and have a conversation.
We love going to this place when we are in town.
We had reservations for 7pm. Our party had 10 kids in it and some as young as 4. We were unable to sit down until 8:30 at night. When we talked to the hostess she told us that despite reservations that they could not guarantee we would sit down at that time. Isn’t that the point of reservations? We asked to about the potential wait time so if we needed to go somewhere else we could. The food was okay for myself and my daughter. However, my husband said it was the worst restaurant meal he has had in a long time.
Overall, my experience was good. I didn’t really like our seating although we had a reservation it felt like the staff didn’t care where to put us because I sat right next to all the commotion and next to the fire extinguisher and alarm, The food and goblet was outstanding and handled with care. Our server was amazing at making sure, through the commotion, that my boyfriend and I were comfortable and happy.
Sugar Factory Rosemont was a chosen destination requested by our daughter for her bday party...we drove 45 minutes to get there for our 4:30 reservation made a month prior. Upon arrival we checked in and were told they were getting our table ready...we weren’t seated for another hour even with an expected party and prior reservation. To say we were frustrated is an understatement, especially with the amount of kids we were bringing. The place was packed and there was no where to stand out of the way. The girls were given $5 each to shop in the candy store and hardly anything was less than that price, not to mention no prices were on items and the prices given fluctuated by who you asked. The hostess staff had the worst job juggling unhappy customers waiting. They should never have to deal with this kind of situation with overbooking and lack of organized turning over of tables especially for reservations. I requested a manager upon being seated but he never came so I asked again. The manager that finally came couldn’t have been nicer and more understanding of the situation. They offered to make the situation right which helped diffuse our frustrations. Our waitress, Jenny, was wonderful and very attentive. This being said, we ended on a positive note with the experience only because the manager validated us and our server was great. The prices we paid for this wasn’t worth making the trip there again , especially for a large party because they couldn’t honor the reservations as placed. When asked they mentioned that other previous parties that day were staying at their tables longer than expected and they can’t kick them out but, most restaurants, especially busy ones have policies of a time limit for tables. It would seem this place could use an overhaul on dealing more effectively with the amount of people they serve, especially for the prices they charge.
Very small space, table was almost too tiny for my party of 3; had to wait a while tobe seated even though we had reservations;and everything was overpriced. Drink taste was ok, burger taste was ok. Not sure if I would revisit. It was something I can cross off of my bucket list now.
Very creative drinks and dishes. The kids loved it.
Don’t expect your reservation time to be respected. It took a 50 minute wait even when having an open table reservation.
Food was ok, not great for the price. Service was not good. Our waiter spilled BBQ sauce all over my pants and shoes and never offered a solution like a discount or free dessert - anything. He didn't come to the table often either. By the way, for parties of 5 or more there is an automatic 20% gratuity added. We booked a reservation online, and that was not mentioned until we arrived after making a 1 hour drive. We are a family of 6. For 1 appetizer, 5 meals, 3 milkshakes, and 1 fishbowl drink, our total was $282! That man got a $43 dollar tip for bad service. Never again.
Fun fun fun
Other than the waiter giving me a pen that had busted and me not realizing it was busted until I seen the ink on my hands and sweater it was good
The prices are expensive but the food and drinks were good.
