We always come here when we visit Killington. The prime rib is fantastic and the service is always great. We'll definitely be back.
Good choice of meals and entrees at reasonable prices. The chocolate chip cookie with ice cream in a warm skillet is not to be missed!
Business Luncheon for 8 to say goodbye to a colleague. Took a very long time to get drinks (we estimate about 15 minutes). Server was polite and professional but the service was slow and uneven. When the meals came, 2 people were served. 5 minutes later, 3 people were served (5 total). 3 minutes later, 2 more people were served (7). Finally, 10 minutes after the the first 2, the final lunch was served. Of course we were all waiting until everyone was served. By then, the soup was cold, fish was dry, and those who got their burgers early had lukewarm burgers and fries. Also, Fries were missing on the pastrami sandwich order. "I owe you fries", said the server. At the end of the meal, she said, "You never got your fries? Let me see what I can do." She came back with the check and said, "The manager took some items off the check." We reviewed the bill -- nothing was taken off. I'd rather she said nothing than say items were taken off when they weren't. In summation, $200 got us slow service, cold soup, dry and cold food, missing sides, and a promised discount unfulfilled. I recommend another restaurant to take business associates and clients.
Food here is consistently good. Unfortunately, our waiter was off last night. Not engaged or terribly attentive. Brought us water and walked away without taking our drink order. It was quite a while before he returned to take the drink order even though it didn't seem to be terribly busy. Our meals were very good but he only asked to box leftovers for one of the party even though another person clearly had leftovers. One of our party had to literally flag him down to ask for a box. We frequent this restaurant but this was not one of our better experiences.
Other than being cold, as we were seated in the glass-walled room near the street, the evening was perfect!
We had the “nice little house” salad and the wedge salad, both were good. For dinner we had the Stuffed Chicken, the Maple Glazed Pork Tenderloin, and the Cajun Burger. My husband said the chicken was wonderful, my son enjoyed the burger, cooked to perfection; his only complaint was it wasn’t spicy enough. The pork was by far the best I’ve EVER had! It cut like a top-grade steak (with a butter knife), the meat melted in your mouth, and the glaze was delicious.
Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, we had dessert. A chocolate chip cookie sundae, in a skillet, and the deconstructed banana cream pie.
We can’t wait to go back!
Birthday. Really appreciated the free dessert.
Our ribeyes were cooked perfectly, the ambience is very nice and cozy. It can be a little noisy, but we didn't need to speak any differently to hear each other. The service was excellent, and our server was great about finding out any information about gluten free options for my wife. This was our second trip to Table 24, and we'll definitely go back when we get another chance for a date night.
Delightful as always!
No vegetables with an overly expensive and only fair meal with only just OK service.
Phil M did a great job. Everyone warm and embracing.
The chicken dish my partner was good but the eggplant parm that I had was mediocre at best. Too watery.
Great dinner prior to going to the Paramount Theater.
Food average. Not hot when came to table. No vegetables! Just meat and potatoes on plate! No wonder Americans have a weight problem🤭
Awesome! Will always come back!
Fantastic, fast and reasonably priced. I’ll be back.
Had an excellent meal. We had the BBQ which is awesome.
Everything was wonderful. Great food, service and over everything. Table 24 is my favorite place to eat in town.
Good food and good service at reasonable prices.
Everything was fresh, well prepared and delicious. Perfect portion sizes.
Would never return, lobster in lobster mac and cheese was very fishy, eggroll appetizer very greasy, although concerns were expressed about lobster, I was not asked if I wanted something else and nothing was deducted from the bill. Poor experience. Ambience nice in main dining room but our reserved table was in very cold ‘greenhouse’, not good choice in VT in February!
Will definitely be returning. Food was delicious and service was great. Loved the room we sat in by the street window. Pricing was very reasonable. The only problem was we couldn't decide what to order. Everything look so good on the menu. Went with the rotisserie chicken and roasted squash entree. Great choices. Just make sure you save room for desert. The Banana Cream Pie and treat!!!!
Table 24 has some of the best burgers I've ever had. Our waitress was the very best!
The food was very good but I have to say our waitress was rude and the hostess had zero personality.
Jambalaya was excellent; Pot roast good, but there was quite a bit of fat on the meat/
Always a great experience. Used to be a native in the Rutland area and have since moved away to New York. But I still come back at least once a year to Table 24.
Was fabulous... food was amazing like always!! The cornbread is to die for.
Phil is the best, we always hope to get him as our waiter. Food was delicious and we received it all very quickly. Had a great time!
Once again Table 24 has been a wonderful experience. It was a busy night so the noise level was a bit high but that's what happens when you have a lot of people.
The service was fantastic, Phil was our waiter. The house Pinot Noir was wonderful, as was my spinach artichoke ravioli! We had a group of 6 and we all loved our meals! Delish!
We have enjoyed Table 24 on numerous evenings and recommended to friends. Last Saturday was terrible. Made a 5:15 reservation for Saturday January 25 via Opentable to sure we would get in with our first time guests hoping to share our past good experiences.
We arrived on time. The place was empty. The hostess escorted us to a table in the front room over looking the VFW hall. She refused a request to relocate claiming everything was booked. Really? There is no way to request a table in Opentable when you make a reservation. We should have headed out then.
The appetizers were disappointing. My wife and I ordered the tuna. The waitress assured us it would be 'safe' to order since it was early in the evening and it would be cooked perfectly. It arrived as a nasty grey piece of over seasoned fish that was not edible and should have been tossed in Thursday's garbage. The waitress knew it when it was served but waited for us to send it back. Our guest's dinners and our replacement dinners were very mediocre at best. The 'manager' came by to let us know they knew they had a issue and would remove the tuna from the menu. Why would it be an option in the first place? Why would a real chef, sous chef or expediter allow this to leave the kitchen? Answer.. new line cook.
Our waitress decided to completely ignore us after the issue. No water refills.. Waited for 5 minutes for silverware after a hamburger that was dropped as a replacement meal with out comment from a runner. Another 5 minute wait to get some ketchup before I could eat my now cold greasy hamburger. We will never be back
Always consistent - good meal with exceptional service / not rushed and able to enjoy a drink and conversation before ordering .
It was good. Our waitress didn't offer us the specials for the day though and that was disappointing.
The shrimp chowder was good. The guys thought the burger was just ok but not anything special or worth $12. The teammate who ordered the lobster macaroni thought that was great. I got the fish tacos and those were disappointing. I'm from Southern California so maybe that is unfair or I am used to a different type of seasoning/flavor. Customer service was great and we got our lunch quickly. 3rd time in a row I sat at the corner round table. A great spot. Overall, thanks for the great lunch!
Great food. A little bit pricey, but for the quality it's very much worth it.
The food this time around was mediocre. Nothing that I would return, however, given the price paid could have been better. Mashed potatoes were mildly cold but edible. Steak was a little overcooked. Not work raising a stink in a busy atmosphere. Waitress attentive. Will eat there again, however, might choose a different entree.
Pretheater dinner. Restaurant very busy despite early time. Food and service never disappoints.
Table 24 is our "must-go-to" restaurant on our regular trips to Rutland/Killington area. Somehow chef/owner Stephen Sawyer has created a place where you can dine casually (and quite reasonably) for a light meal but also has menu items for a full dinner on a special night out. The food is consistently wonderful, the service is friendly and attentive. Most restaurants that try to be all things to all people are disastrous, this one works in every way, including quality, service, and value.
Our service was less than desirable. I am a vegetarian so I asked our server what ingredients were used to make the veggie burger and her response was “there is a whole list of things.” Ummm... okay. Being unsure if I could eat the veggie burger I decided to order a few side dishes instead. I asked our server if the beans were made with bacon or ham and her response was “no.” I ordered the beans. They are indeed made with meat. We finished our meals without a drink as we were never provided refills during our visit which unfortunately lasted over 2 hours. My husband enjoyed his meal less having a drink. I enjoyed the asparagus and mashed potatoes. We would recommend the food but not the experience or service.
Food was just ok, dessert was better. Nice atmosphere but nothing really unique.
Snowy dinner in VT. 4 people in our party. Server was excellent, prime rib egg roll appetizer and calamari were really good. Entrees included tuna, pot roast , ribs and steak tips. Good selection for draft beer. We will definitely be back
