Talley's Kitchen and Bar
Always have a great meal! Moving back from the city but always know Tally’s will not disappoint. Not sure why they are not always busy!!!
Our first time here. It was very good. We had pork chop and scallops at our table. Cooked perfectly and very tasty.
Never disappoints! Green bean app can't be beat! A cozy dinner on a rainy night - perfect!
Some new menu items and the same old, pleasant vibe. Keep making more menu changes!!
We sat for about 10 - 15 minutes without a server approaching the table. I understand waiters get busy so there should be some backup to either inform the server that another table has been sat or if it appears a table has been unintended have someone, a hostess etc, come over and ask if anyone has gotten a drink order.
We had a very nice time and the food was excellent.
Great food and value!!! Nice ambiance and service.
Just a great local place to get some wonderful food.
On top of that, they recent added some items to the menu, which were ultra tasty. If you haven’t been in a while, you should check it out (my fave new item was the baked chicken wings... blew away my expectations).
Talleys is our go to place for a nice meal and glass of wine in a nice setting with neighborhood feel. Our Server Jeff is good fun and takes good care of us. ( He looks just like Tim Robbins). Families, couples just off the train, date nighters, all together enjoying dinner.
Brought my colleagues from Sweden here for a casual neighborhood joint but nice dinner experience. Tally’s knocked it out of the park. Food was over the top, service was beyond compare, wine was perfect. This group have been to many well known Chicago steakhouses and other noted restaurants in and around the western suburbs. All five said this was best dining experience in Chicago to date. Thank you for a great night.
The hummus starter was excellent - great lemon and rosemary flavors. The scallop entree was fabulous and I am super picky about scallops. Very hard to find scallops not over or undercooked. Nicely browned and full of flavor on a bed of rice with bacon and corn pieces. Hubby had the filet, served medium, and it was great. Best meal!
This was our first visit to Tally's and we LOVE IT!!! We sampled many items from the menu and each was unique in flavor, fresh tasting and very nicely plated and presented. We started with flatbread which was crisp and flavorful. Our salads were wonderful, just the right mix of add on's and dressing to make them just right. I had trouble deciding on an entree. I would say that for the first time, there was not one item on the menu that I would not have wanted to order, based on the preparation of the entree's. The table shared the tacos, steak & frites, tuna appetizer, filet appetizer and the salmon entree. There was not a crumb left on any of the plates. We didn't really want dessert, but the blueberry waffle ice cream, bread pudding, and key lime cup were calling our names...and we were very happy we listened!
Tally, the owner, is an energetic, kind, fun, caring business owner who checked on each table several times while diners were enjoying their evenings. We are making plans with frineds to return several times over the next 2 months! I would rate Tally's 10 start out of 5 stars!!!
Hostess forgot to seat us when our table was ready. But she remembered to seat everyone else who arrived after us.
Don't get the panko crusted chicken-must be made ahead of time because it was very dry and was supposed to have a butter caper sauce but did not. Green bean app is great! Live music is kind of loud.
Great staff! Cozy, comfortable environment with quality food. Glad to see a new menu, can't wait to try it all.
Excellent food and great service! I almost forgot about this wonderful little gem! It’s in the small friendly town of Clarendon Hills where you can often run into a familiar face. They have one of the best burgers and truffle fries I’ve had.
The salmon with pesto risotto is delicious!
I’ll definitely be back more often!
Excellent. Friendly. Welcoming. I just wish they would shake up the menu.
Everything was exceptional from the mushroom flatbread to the gnocchi and the panko chicken but what proved to be the highlight of the night was the meatloaf that was expertly cooked and seasoned with mashed potatoes and a sauce with just the right touch of sweetness. And don't forget the ask for the skillet cookie sundae that was to die for.
Boring food. Not as tasty as usual.
Cool place. Delicious food, great service!
Excellent service, food, and ambiance! Bacon flat bread and buffalo shrimp appetizers were great; we enjoyed shrimp tacos, panko chicken, and salmon for dinner at our table. Thanks for a nice dinner!
Made reservations on Open Table which was very easy. Had the steak and frites with the blue cheese butter. Service was great as always.
Service and food were great. Loved the grilled vegetables And risotto!
Love this restaurant.
We went on a Sunday night of the 4th of July weekend, so it was very quiet. Everything we had was outstanding. I had the scallops and risotto. Absolutely delicious. Not a huge portion (3 scallops), but $24 is less than you pay at other restaurants. My husband had the meatloaf and enjoyed his as well.
And just a short walk from home.
A village gem!
And Jeffrey is the best!
Food was very good. Scallops were cooked perfectly and the corn and bacon risotto was so tasty. My husbands steak was seasoned well and cooked properly. Service was friendly and prompt. We try a lot of places and many of those we will not return to. We will return to Talleys.
The food is always delicious and beautifully presented. Service is delightful.
Celebrating a birthday. Great service and delicious food! Will go back soon as I’d like to try some other dishes!
We stumbled on this place via Open Table and what a nice surprise. Cozy and comfortable little local place in downtown Clarendon Hills right near the train station. We were there on a Tuesday so it wasn't very crowded but a handful of locals seemed to be out enjoying a weeknight dinner. Food was all really good -- the flatbreads were delicious, with great buttery and crisp crust. Caesar salad was well prepared and my wife's panko crusted chicken was really nice. Decent wine list and interesting cocktail menu. The hostess was friendly and service was good. All in all a nice spot. Didn't see any outdoor seating for summer, that would be nice if they had it. But we'll definitely be back.
We really like Tally's. It has a neighborhood restaurant feel and a creative menu that is always expertly prepared. The server was extremely friendly and helpful, and the meal was paced nicely. We will be back again soon.
Great food and great service the steak special was excellent
We went for dinner on Mother’s Day. The staff and the owner were all incredible friendly and hospitable. Great food and ambience. A nice restaurant that is also very kid friendly.
pork chop was cooked to perfection. mash potatoes were excellent. incredible value.
service as always was great.
music was just the right noise level.
Food was bland and nothing unusual or exceptional on a very limited menu.
Great neighborhood place in Clarendon Hills. We had a variety of things, and the salmon, scallops and steak were all excellent. Definitely recommend!
We were seated promptly By the hostess. We were given water and after 18 minutes of waiting we left the left the restaurant. Not one person came by to offer us drinks or let us know that the waiter would be delayed. We did go across the street to Frida Kahlo, the new Mexican restaurant in Clarendon Hills and had a great dinner.
Amazing! Tonya was our server and she made my mom’s birthday celebration extra special; in order to insure all of our wants and needs were taken care of.
Food is very good and well prepared. The menu is limited and the addition of new items or specials would be welcomed. The entire staff provides excellent service especially from Tanya as the server. The atmosphere is generally serene and is a great place to enjoy a private discussion.
