Excellent as always

Went there for my birthday dinner. Service was impeccable (and it is every single time I go there). All the food was tasty, but much of the food came out overly salty. I made the mistake of not asking to go easy on the salt. Anyway, it was a sleepless night as I was constantly drinking water. I'll know better next time!

Love the food and service. Thought it would be fine to eat at high top in bar area but in retrospect would have been better to be at regular table for a date

This Capital Grille location always exceeds expectations!! The staff is top notch and super efficient on a busy night. They are by far the most professional yet friendly and engaging staff of any capital grille location. Kelly is superb in her wine recommendations for dinner. Her knowledge and ability to offer a wide variety of price points in the selection of wine with dinner is phenomenal! Our waiter Antoine (not sure of spelling) is fantastic and very friendly! Food was excellent as always. The cheesecake or fresh berries is the way to go for dessert. Overall another great dining experience!!

Our waiter, Walter, was awesome and every part of the meal superb.

This had been one of my favorite restaurants. But, my last experience was less than stelar for 3 reasons.
1. One of my guests who is hesitant to order raw seafood found a parasite in one of the oysters. The excuse was "it's fresh". While I understand that, where is the quality control on food presentation. This was a dime size live parasite that was not hard to miss.
2. I ordered my steak medium rare. It was over cooked. The problem with pointing this out to the waiter is that preparing a new steak would have made me a spectator while the rest of my party ate.
3. My after dinner drink order was inverted. I ordered a double espresso with a shot of Sambucca. I received an espresso with a double shot of Sambucca.
I guess most people only submit reviews when things don't go well. This is no exception.

Couldn’t say enough wonderful things about Jose Amaya at Capital Grille in Tysons Corner. Jose made sure we were taken care of from appetizer through dessert (by treating us to a little dessert, even!). Food was excellent, as expected, but what will keep us coming back is the great service from Jose. Thanks for a wonderful evening!

Service was very good, and the food was really very tasty and excellent

My wife and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary there. The host, waitress and ambience were phenomenal. The appetizers were tasteful. We brought our own wine to the restaurant that we acquired from a trip to Napa Valley for this occasion. We paid a corkage fee, but that was only fair. My wife had the Pan-Seared Sea Bass with Miso Butter dinner, she absolutely loved it! I had the Porcini Rubbed Bone-In Ribeye with 15-Year Aged Balsamic. I was not a pleased with my selection as the steak lacked flavor, in my opinion. We were happy with the overall experience and look forward to dining there again.

Kanita and the rest of the staff were outstanding as always! The food is always outstanding along with great service.

Jason was an amazing server! He is top notch. They did great social distancing that did not distract from the ambiance of the restaurant. We love Capital Grille and will definitely return in the future.

I’m writing you because of my recent two visits at your Capital Grille location in the Tysons area. Although I love visiting your locations across the country as a member, at your Tysons location I had very lack luster experience.

On December 23rd, although the food was amazing, the service was lacking. I spent over $500 for a party of two. The main server at the table was great but other members of the staff that visited the table just made a lot of simple service errors that became an annoyance. In addition, almost immediately after I settled the bill the general manager asked us to relocate to make way for reservations. I just expect more professional and courtesy from your service staff and especially from your management team.


On December 26th, I returned to have a special celebratory night out with my wife. Unfortunately, the food was inconsistent to my normal experience. For the 1st time, I had the recommended bone-in filet. The dish was too gamey, the texture and taste was similar to a roast. In addition, the clam chowder was cold and the salmon was overcooked. It was just another experience that I felt that not only the service was subpar but the food was as well.

In the future, I look forward to visiting your establishment but only at the moment only when I’m home in Phoenix at the Biltmore location. The quality of service, the consistency of food, and the ambiance at the Tysons location was just disappointing.

Capital Grille is my favorite restaurant. I know what I can expect in food, service and price. It is always consistent.

Excellent Kona steak, great flavor! Of course truffle fries always delicious too! Lobster bisque with sherry yum!!

Best restaurant by far in Tysons Corner. I dine here at least 3 times a month and am never disappointed. Our usual server is Walter, a true professional that really enjoys his job.

Exceptional dinner and service. Fantastic wine selection. Original mixed drinks. Steak was very tender and cooked to perfection. Side dishes were delicious and complimented the steak. Desserts are delightful. The entire staff are superb and create a fine dining experience.

Always a wonderful dinner. Excellent, attentive staff and perfectly prepared dinner. A loyalist to TCG.

I booked a table at Capital Grille for a Thanksgiving date. My date hadn't been there before and she was ecstatic about the food, the wine, the atmosphere and the service.

She had the Seared Citrus Glazed Salmon, with Marcona Almonds and Brown Butter, and I had a Bone-In Kona Crusted Dry Aged NY Strip with Shallot Butter.

Both dishes were prepared to perfection.

Service (Jose) was great!! Steaks were prepared at perfect temperature. Seafood tower wasn’t impressive at cost of 119
French fries and Mac&cheese were my 10 year old daughter’s favorite!! 😂😂😂

We enjoyed the patio for a lovely lunch. Service was stellar. The calamari was perfectly cooked and the ribeye steak sandwich was so delicious. Best steakhouse in Tysons.

Always great...Does not disappoint...Outstanding server - Nacoa. Capital Grille, both at Tyson’s and downtown DC remain the best restaurants in the region.

Excellent service from Marco. Mini Tenderloin sandwich cold and fatty. “Warm” chocolate cake cold. Due to Covid, not sure if meat and cake left over from day before!

The service here is usually excellent but this time it was just average. The food was amazing as usual.

We were celebrating a joint anniversary and our server couldn't have been kinder or more accommodating. The food was outstanding. We felt very safe in the room - everything was great, great, great!
