The Colosseum Restaurant
Always a great meal!
My three brothers along with their wives, my husband,2 nieces, 1 nephew and me celebrating our yearly get together. We might have been a little loud but no one seemed to mind. This was an amazing experience. Food is delicious, best sangria ever. The service is outstanding .
The owner greeted us and sent some special lemoncello, great food and waite staff
The food was great and the service was fantastic.
Best Authentic Italian food we have found in the area. Anti pasta was great and our meals very good. Good quantity. Was our first of what we think will be many visits.
The wife and I were very pleased with the service, food quality and ambiance at The Colosseum restaurant. Our waitress (Kerri C.) was wonderful. She enhanced our dining experience by making great food and dessert suggestions which absolutely made our enjoyment that much more pleasant. Also, the menu had a lot of variety to choose from.
We both had soup to start off our meal. I had minestrone and the wife had pasta fagioli. Both soups definitely looked and tasted like homemade and were very delicious.
We both had lasagna for dinner and found the food very tasty with just the right quantity to satisfy our hunger. Kerri had suggested a single serving of homemade meatballs to go along with our lasagne dish. That was the perfect suggestion, and one that added to our great experience. Kerri also suggested Limoncello Mascarpone Cake for dessert which was absolutely luscious.
We will definitely return to The Colosseum in the near future.
absolutely stupendous array of delicious foods for both breakfast diners and lunch diners - mimosas are tasty, bloody mary bar is more than complete and there is plenty of help from personnel for the asking.
Restaurant was cold.
Took about an hour and a half to finally get our food and the food wasn’t that good to be honest.
Ambiance is outstanding, menu is superb. Wait staff is attentive and not overbearing.
My family and myself all agree we were underwhelmed by the food. Onions seem to be added to all the pasta dishes so that they are not bland. But the bone in ribeye by far was the most disappointing of all. This is a cut you have to work at to make tasteless. However Medium rare is a difficult thing to achieve when the meat is thinly cut.
My family does not send food back, nor do we complain. With the dishes we felt that they couldn’t be fixed. I did enjoy the company and found it a wonderful place to enjoy time with my family
Have eaten here many times. Never disappoints. It's a fine as the North End and Providence's federal Hill offerings.
Great selection on the menu. Service was excellent!
Great customer service and food was outstanding. It was our anniversary
Food tasted very good but getting there when open expect food to be hot
Delicious food. Always consistent. I would highly recommend the Colosseum.
The food choice and quality was not worth the cost. The dessert table was extremely small and limited
Everything was good except we waited just over an hour even having reservations. Waitress was wonderful and food was good
I have been going to the Colosseum for years... never disappoints!
We All Ready Have, and those couples have thanked us. Thank You !
We were seated in a booth in front of the windows in the back hallway. It was a cold night and we froze all night. The chicken coliseum tasted like it had been frozen as the breaded crust was tough. The artichoke for appetizer was ok, made very messy to eat. The service was slow. We have tried several times and found dishes just ok. Probably won’t be back for a long while.
Food portions were very generous.
Upon our arrival to the departure we experienced a great evening at the Colosseum. We were not to happy with the placement of our table and asked to change it. The hostess was very accepting of our request and quickly seated us at a round table in the middle of the restaurant. All workers immediately came over tho see if we had everything we needed as they had to set the table settings.
Martinis were delicious as were the appetizers of Calamari and their Specialty stuffed mushrooms. The table side Caesar salad was made by a very friendly and knowledgeable waitress of the ingredients.
We all ordered 4 different entrees and they were delivered in a timely manner with generous portions. We finished the dinner off with all different desserts that were very tasteful.
Will return to the Colosseum!!!!!
The Colosseum is always a great choice for dinner and brunch. Don't forget to pick up a few jars of the marinara sauce!!
This is a tale of two different experiences. The first 30 min and the rest of our meal. We had a reservation for 7:30pm. The hostess seemed surprised when we arrived and disappeared to find us a table even though I could see multiple tables empty. After 10 min we were seated in the far back corner of the restaurant near the bathrooms and an empty area that had a bunch of tables/chairs piled on top of each other. The bread guy and water guy came over quickly after we sat down. The bread was flat, looked like something had been placed on top of the basket. We got more bread later which wasn’t smooshed. No server ever came over. Being so far in the corner we couldn’t even flag someone down. At 8pm I went to the check in stand to ask for a waiter and couldn’t find anybody. Finally found the person who got us water and asked if they could help. After a few more minutes a waiter arrived. After that things got much better. The service was good. Got brought over a free app by the manager and offered free dessert. The food we ate was excellent and that included the dessert. Will try it again just because of how good the food was, hopefully the service will match it.
Went with a group to celebrate some birthdays. Our waiter was extremely helpful and answered all questions put to him about the menu. We were able to order and make adjustments depending upon the individuals diet requirements. Food was excellent. Will come back again.
I enjoyed the Chicken Alfredo. The alfredo sauce was one of the most flavorful I've had. The food was hot. I went with my husband and 2 sons. They all had the gnocchi. My husband never had it before but he did think it was a little bland for him. But other than that, the portion size was good. So overall, we had a very nice meal and a good time. We would go there again.
This is the best Italian restaurant in Southern NH.....
Made a reservation through opentable. No problems with getting a table. They were even great about us changing from a table to a booth. Stuffed Artichoke for an appetizer was absolutely delicious. Main courses were great, even the chocolate cake for dessert was delicious. Def going back again soon!!!
Good food and pleasant atmosphere. Waitress was nice enough but service was a bit off- slow taking order, minimal follow up to see if we needed anything, unsure of the brand of seasonal beer etc.
Everything was excelent...
This was our first visit in several years. Food was excellent and the owners took the time to come to our table and check if everything was fine.
Server was a great guy and treated us well.
Owners (Annibale and his sons) are very hard working people which was great to see!
We were celebrating my sister-in-laws birthday. Our waitress was very nice and served us very well. The food was superb. Thank you for a great time.
Dinner was delicious as always !!! Server was fabulous!!!
Disappointed. Stay away from the veal parmigiana. Shrimp and scallops was ok, just over priced. Service maintained quality and made our visit somehat acceptable.
We had a wonderful family dinner. I like that the specials get mixed up each week. The chicken and mushroom risotto was fabulous!
Renovations make it extremely pleasant. Food is excellent. Keep it up!
Everything was cold shrimp cocktail was tiny half the size you would get from a frozen ring at supermarket , chicken parm was paper thin and tasteless .. the meatballs , stuffed shells , egg plant rolled up , prime rib,
buffalo chicken were all good but again all cold.. the tiny shrimp cocktail was a huge dissapointment
Our party of four had a 1 PM luncheon reservation as we wanted to avoid the lunch hour rush. We arrived at 12:50 and found only one table occupied. Not a great sign. We all had the $3 side salad with our entrees and it was average at best. Two members of our party ordered the veal parm, and while the piece of veal was generous, it was tough and difficult to cut. For us, this restaurant is a DNR (do not return).
We had a reservation for 6:00 on a Saturday. The restaurant wasn't full but it was busy. The hostesses seemed to be more interested in getting tables ready for future diners than in seating us. We finally sat down and then the experience changed. The server was attentive, the food was excellent and the rest of our evening went well. It was during the extreme heat wave and the room was quite comfortable. I would definitely go back and take all my friends.
Food was tasty and portions were generous. Service was good. Dining room area could use some sprucing up for better ambiance.
