Best food in the Mt Washington valley! During Covid tables were very spaced out and we've also gotten their take out. Delish!

The Food is absolutely fabulous, I’ve never had a bad meal at the Oxford House. It is truly one of the best restaurants in the state of Maine. There is no comparison in my opinion.

Quiet, romantic place to dine. I’ve eaten here 4-5 times and the food is always very good. I had filet mignon this time and it was cooked perfectly (med rare) and tasted amazing. The wine list is good, with many bottles to choose from in the $30 range. I didn’t have dessert this time, but in the past, they have been excellent. I like this restaurant for special occasions.

We absolutely love eating at the Oxford House Inn! The food is always outstanding...as are the cocktails. The service is wonderful with friendly knowledgeable servers. We had no room for dessert but have had desserts in the past x also 5star! I highly recommend!

On a cold January night, the warmth and friendly welcome at the Oxford House set the stage for an incredibly enjoyable evening. We ate early so the dining room was empty when we entered. With tables physically distanced and masks required. we felt safe to enjoy the meal. The food was excellent and our server attentive without being anoying.

A wonderful experience...tuna appetizer was incredible...light and smokey...pork Ramen bowl and steak frites done to perfection...
My daughter loved the edamame and burger... as well as the sorbet sampler..

This is one of the best restaurants in the western Maine are. We have eaten here numerous times and never been disappointed. The food is excellent.

It seemed to take far too long. I'm a huge fan of the oxford house, this was an off night.

Great old New England Inn feel. Friendly service and great value for interesting and eclectic menu selections. Fabulous downstairs bar in non-covid times and a lovely back yard cocktail space for watching the sun go down in the warm months.

Atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. Cocktails were original and well made. Food was fantastic, and they had sufficient options to please both the vegetarians and meat eaters in our group. Definitely worth a visit for a nice dinner out.

My meal was closer to cold rather than even warm. Restaurant did not seem overly busy.

Excellent food, wonderful appetizers and creative drinks. Quiet setting, very relaxing. The Inn has done a great job with social distancing; tables were spaced according to current guidance, and we felt very comfortable there. We went mid-week; would highly recommend the Oxford House for special occasions, or just a night out.

Outstanding. Great Gluten Free options! Everything was cooked to perfection. We both had steak- Steak Fretes, and Filet Mingnion, both were delicious. Thanks Oxford House. We will be back!

We have dined at The Oxford House Inn several times and there are so many reasons to keep going back! The people who work there obviously love what they do, from the hostess to the wait staff, and without a doubt the team in the kitchen! The menu changes from time to time as the seasons change, and the only downside is that you don't have an opportunity to try ALL of the varied offerings... Maybe the solution is to simply go there more often!!

Food was good. We ordered their special cheese plate and were disappointed with the amount of food we got for the price we paid however it was delicious. Our entree however were amazing and large and we both greatly enjoyed them. Home churned ice cream was outstanding! Our waitress was very kind. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner here a lot. Even thought about going back for lunch!

Dinning out in the time of COVID is challenging, especially if it's a restaurant not close to home. Oxford House Inn was inviting while employing strict pandemic standards. And the food was amazing!

We had a great experience for our first time at the Oxford House. The food was fantastic and the service was wonderful as well. I highly recommend!

This was our first visit to the Oxford House Inn, but it most certainly will not be our last. I have a gluten-free dietary restriction and when I made this reservation on Open Table, I mentioned it in my requests. When we arrived, the hostess handed me a gluten free menu with so many options it was difficult to decide. I began with a scrumptious Pear Ginger martini and ordered the gluten free rolls. It cost an extra $2.50, but there were 2 different kinds, both delicious and made on site! My husband was very pleased with his rolls also which were not gluten free. For my entree, I chose the pork tenderloin which was served in a lovely presentation over applesauce and along side squash and roasted broccolini, all cooked to perfection. My husband ordered the special, which was crab stuffed fluke. I don't recall what his came with, but it certainly looked wonderful and he couldn't say enough about how much he enjoyed it. We topped it all off with a shared dessert of chocolate torte which was adorned with a cherry compote and we also ordered the orange ginger, (dairy free), ice cream on the side. Everything was portioned just right so that we could enjoy each course and not feel that we overindulged. When ever our travels take us to Fryeburg, we will be sure to make the Oxford House Inn our dining destination!
