The staff were so pleasant and helpful. Even during a pandemic, we felt safe and cared for. Every precaution was taken to ensure the safety of diners.
The food is first class. It was a beautiful meal and I loved the ambience of the room and having a little more space to enjoy a private meal.
I was disappointed with the menus and the price of the set dinner . The cost of dinner did not include tea or coffee. The tea was a tea bag and not leaf tea for a 5 star hotel this is rather poor. There was no atmosphere and I know the hotel has just opened and act to government regulations it is hard to cope. It is an expensive price for dinner as the food is not exceptional.I have dined in the Saddle Room on several occasions and enjoyed it I will Not revisit it for some time as I did not enjoy the food or the dining experience.

So clean and the staff were trained very well on safety covid 19 measures
In light of the current Covid restrictions we had an absolutely amazing experience at the Saddle Room. Food was extremely tasty and presented very well. Service was so professional, faultless actually, we were served by Daniel. Atmosphere was just right, we were celebrating a special occasion and it was just perfect. Lovely table with plenty of space between tables. We will definitely return, super dining experience!
V enjoyable Sunday lunch. Food was lovely and kids menu v good too. We asked for a booth which was great if having dinner with children rather than in main part of restaurant. The set up re COVID is very well done and felt very comfortable and not worried. Would recommend as a treat.

Our 50th wedding anniversary
As you would expect of the Shelbourne, the covid restrictions were handled very well and everything was still elegant. I've knocked one star off as the fried fish main was a bit soggy, and we were overcharged and not given an itemised bill.

Wedding Anniversary meal and 1st meal in a restaurant since February. Quality of food and service were excellent and full social distancing and hygiene in place. The negative was the lack of ambiance and normal interaction. Not the fault of the Shelbourne at all. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and occasion and it’s always a pleasure to visit the Shelbourne.

Was extremely good. Food in the saddle room was excellent. I went at lunch time and was seated straight away. Few minor issues just in terms of tiny mistakes in terms of things I’d asked to be excluded from the dish but was fine. The server, who I didn’t quite catch her name, was excellent. I believe she was french but I’m not 100% sure. Overall really good experience!

It was my first time to dine in the Shelbourne. Fantastic experience. Food was to a very high standard. Staff were very friendly and professional and the service was second to none. Lovely ambience in the restaurant. Couldn't fault anything. Definitely at the top of my list for another visit.

We would have preferred the lunch menu to include 1/2 sides even if this meant a few quid extra in the price of the set lunch menu. When I booked I, ticked a box that asked what the occasion for our lunch was - I ticked birthday. It was a lovely unexpected surprise when our "birthday girl" was presented with a candle to blow out and some delicious petit fours - not to mention the handsome waiter joining in singing Happy Birthday. A lovely end to our meal.

A very memorable 60th birthday celebration at Dublin's most beautiful hotel - lovely atmosphere, very attentive service, great food, hard to find better - we'll be back, even without the excuse of a particular celebration, it has everything going for it!
I took my son and partner for dinner.Everything from start to finish was great.Service was great although my son ordered truffle fries and they never came although they were on the bill.Would recommend to anyone will definitely return.
One thing affects my overall review of excellence...we were seated beside a window, it was a cold night and there was a chilly draft which made me less relaxed as the evening wore on. Otherwise food and service were excellent
I would not recommend eating at the Shelbourne Saddle room.
Having booked one week in advance, my guests and I got a table en route to the kitchen and the gents toilet complete with significant draft!
I mentioned 3 times that we were going to the theatre yet we were rushed in main course and desert, no tea/coffee. I asked for a birthday candle on desert/other small cake to celebrate brother's birthday but it only arrived as we were putting on our coats.
The food was pedestrian overall - birthday boy was particularly disappointed with rubbery fish!
And it cost an enormous amount of money for this experience!!

Very limited menu. Table too big for 2 making conversation difficult. Background music unsuitable and too loud.
The occasion was a quiet dinner to discuss a number of business related issues. We were given a quiet corner though this had not been previously requested which suited excellently.
The entire evening was superb - the quality of food and the service could not be faulted. Overall, a great night.
Very cozy experience and intimate and private with it almost being like private dining. Attentive staff and nice touches make for a great place for a romantic occasion

Below average dining experience. Fancied the beef Wellington until we noticed it’s a 24 hour wait. Not really ideal as we planned on eating whilst we were actually there. Ordered chateaubriand, the chap who carved it at the table appeared to do so with a bread knife. The result was it more a torn apart steak than elegantly carved. Wine list is slim to say the least. 2 courses with wine €380. Works out better value to go to Patrick Guilbaud which has two Michelin stars. I know where I’ll be going next.
The Saddle Room is a super place to have a celebration lunch. It's just that little bit special, entices you to sit and chat. Also great for the old mammy who can hear the conversation unlike most modern shiny places she goes.

Me and my husband decided to go there X our anniversary....very bad decision...we got the worst table,beside The open kitchen,also if The restaurant wasn t that busy!Food...nothing special,for prices they have!
Excellent evening will certainly go again and may stay over.
