    Pre-Show dinner at UT and I love coming to the SS! We started off with Blanche and the deviled eggs which are always outstanding. We each decided to have the pork carnitas tacos and the fish tacos - after 2 each, we wound up ordering 1 more each. They were delicious.

    We had crispy chicken thighs with smashed potatoes smothered in gravy, and Brussels sprouts Caesar salad. It was divine as usual.

    Everything was full of flavor. I had an indulgence of the duck fat fries, brussel sprout leaves, smoked fish rillette, and on their specials menu the pastrami burnt ends. Everything was exceptional. The duck fat fries were special though, I would go back and just have three orders of that haha. Will definitely be visiting on my next trip to Austin.

    The scallops were amazing! The server recommended them and they definitely did. It disappoint. So good!

    We especially love having a drink or wine with the always excellent charcuterie board, along with the heavenly devilled eggs and maybe another appetizer. The food is really good, the atmosphere is cosy and inviting, great service. Reservation suggested, since it is popular.

    Great early evening at Salty Sow. Their deviled eggs and Brussel sprouts were amazing. Service was excellent and we enjoyed our evening. Two quick comments: there is incorrect information on the hours on Google, they open at 4:30, not 4. The special caramel pecan bread pudding didn't have any pecans and while tasty, very dry. Would still go again in a heartbeat!

    Salty Sow is one of my top 5 places to dine in Austin. I’ve been eating here randomly for years now and the service and food are always consistent. Great happy hour! Dining indoors or outdoors is comfortable year round which can be difficult in Texas summers but they do it right. Coming from someone who has worked in the service industry for many years it’s nice to see how well the staff works together. You can tell hospitality is a focus! From a date night, special occasion, or group gathering you will be well taken care of. Be sure to try the beef shoulder, it’s my favorite!

    The desserts "sweets" were definitely the highlight. Unfortunately, our dinner wasn't as good as our previous visit. The biscuits were dry and small, one of my tacos was the incorrect taco, and the pork carnitas was swimming in the beans. I'm glad that the beignet were fantastic and the meal was not a total miss.

    The consistent quality and service are outstanding at Salty Sow. A can’t miss happy hour gives the opportunity to inexpensively try some standout food on the cheap. The pork belly taco is simply amazing. Love this place! You must try the bananas foster beignets, best dessert in Austin. And I don’t even like bananas!

    We grabbed a bite to eat right before a concert at the Moody Center. The burgers we ordered were excellent and the Brussels sprouts are always a favorite. Love the laid back, cozy atmosphere with delicious food! And I ordered the house red, which was also great! The service was amazing, too. Our waiter was super attentive, warm and professional. Thanks for a great experience!! It’s consistently wonderful every time we go!

    Loved the back room that they sat us in, perfect for an intimate dinner. The drinks were good (gin and Moscow mule). The Cesar salad was one of the best I’ve ever had. The deviled eggs were by far the worst thing we had. Not much flavor. The red fish and wagyu burger were both phenomenal. I will definitely be back next time I’m in town.

    Very good food and friendly staff. The blackened redfish was the best I have ever had. Everyone in our party loved their food and drinks. Prepare for lack of parking to park on a side street but well worth the dining experience.

    Our waiter, Scott, was outstanding and offered great recommendations! The instructions on the GPS can be a little tricky since the roads are complex in the area, so it is important to pay attention when you are closer to the restaurant. Good amount of parking, but the lighting in the parking lot is low and dim.

    The Paper Plane cocktail was a great start, followed by blackened Redfish, with sides of collards and mashed potatoes. Finally a Pumpkin Mousse....everything was top notch, including Brad's service!

    Love the Salty Sow. Food is always great and it’s a solid value. Very comfortable place that everyone can enjoy. Met some friends from out of town last night and they were impressed. Becoming our go to place.

    I love this place. The candied pork belly and collard greens, along with the deviled eggs are to die for! The staff is always friendly and helpful, as well.

    The food was fairly bland. Could have used some extra salt. Odd due to the name of the restaurant. Otherwise, the drinks were perfect and the ambiance was perfect. The server was amazing and made up for the food being so-so. Best restaurant near the theatre, so maybe we will be back.

    Brought some family from out of town here, and this was their favorite part of the trip. Everything from the food to our server, Scott, was as wonderful as I could have hoped. Can’t wait to come back!

    We thought the ambience was great! Definitely Austin! The cocktails were wonderful. Our experience with the food was not great. Completely understand that things happen when a restaurant is busy, but it seemed like when we commented on what we thought, when asked, it was not taken well. Service definitely changed after that. Three of the four dishes we ordered were extremely salty….not just a little, a lot. Definitely the salty sow.

    Lots of variety on the menu and the dishes that we selected did not disappoint. Favorites were the charcuterie board and the beignets! Delicious. Will be going back to try out the happy hour which looks promising.

    Overall, everything was very good, except for it took us forever… I mean like 45 minutes to get our food. This was because only one person at our table, ordered a salad and had decided to wait for us to get our food before we all eat at the same time. Once the salad was brought out, we were all just waiting for food for 45 minutes And getting extremely hungry. Finally, I was able to talk to a waitress and asked if it was going to be much longer, and she said she didn’t put the food order in yet because she was waiting for the one person to eat the salad. We all were in shock because she never asked us , if she should bring out the salad with the other food or wait or anything… There was no communication. But other than that little snafu, the food was amazing and I definitely recommend getting a reservation.

    We shared many appetizers.! Best deviled eggs ever. The truffle flavor was unbelievable. Tater Tots with thin sliced bbq meat was so unusual, and outstanding. Fried chicken with biscuit, was tender, with a slight sweet sauce was a perfect compliment. Pork taco was also excellent. Every item was better than the next. These were some of the best appetizers, flavors, quality food in Austin. We're excited to go back and have dinner. The service was outstanding. Our waiter knew every item, described them perfect and was spot on with all is recommendations. You will not be disappointed with the food, service, quality for the price. Highly recommend. Still licking my lips for the truffle deviled eggs.

    Incredible place! Was in town for the Grand Prix and we had seen this place talked about in multiple food guides. Old fashioneds are my favorite cocktail and the maple glazed old fashioned was amazing. Probably could’ve had 10 of them. We had the truffled deviled eggs and the roasted bone marrow to start. Pretty sure my dad wanted to take the bone under the table after that one. Had 2 of their specials: the Scottish quail eggs and the duck tongue fried rice. Super creative dishes and man they were unreal. The fried rice was probably one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. They had a very innovative menu and it was really refreshing. Must try 10/10!!
