Everything was wonderful and so was our service
Very good service and food.
Service was wonderful and our server was very helpful.
Have been there before. Food was outstanding. Will definitely go again.
Great food. Great service (Everytime) I highly recommend.
Our go to place for seafood. We started with a dozen really good East and West Coast oysters. Cups of great clam chowder and followed with steamed manila clams and tuna poke. Good somewhat pricey wine list and we found a hi-top in the bar much more quite than the very loud main dining section.
Nicholas in the bar was phenomenal and very friendly. Ryan was our server and was a lot of fun. Made my birthday awesome!
Our table of four enjoyed our total experience at Tin Fish. We loved the food-very savory and delicious. Our waiter was wonderful.
The service started off not so great. Got there 15 minutes before reservation and didn't get seated until 20 minutes after actual reservation time. Our waitress was not friendly at first, she didn't even tell us her name. After we ordered some of the most expensive items on the menu, she seemed to be more nice. The food was good, but the service was mediocre.
We had to wait 15 minutes to be seated even though we had reservations and the waiter lost our credit card but he found it before we left the restaurant. I did enjoy my entree.
Server was fantastic!
Tin Fish is one of our favorite restaurants We have never had a bad meal there. I had the flounder that was on the special menu and my husband had the salmon. Both were outstanding. We love the mashed potatoes with marinated veggies, olives, etc. To die for!
I was more impressed with the specials than the standard menu. The food was good but I am not in a hurry to go back. A pet peeve of mine is when I ask for my food to be prepared a certain way and the waiter proceeds to explain to me why I don't want it that way. If I order my salmon well, that is how I like it. Our waiter tried to tell us how "we should" like our food prepared. He was not eating it so, imho, he should have kept his mouth shut. The waitstaff can make or break an experience.
Love Tin Fish! The fish is always fresh and so good. My meal was delicious. Will be going again this weekend.
Server was a hoot. Food was grewt
Food great ,Staff awesome ,Grest meal.
Food was amazing. Portion size perfect. The food was so good all 6 of us totally cleaned our plates. Server Ryan - excellent as always. Looking forward to coming back soon.
The decor of Tin Fish begs for a serious update. The hanging 3 dimensional fish props and pictures if upgraded could improve the ambiance big time. C’mon owners you’ve got 2 out of 3 working brilliantly, now improve the 3rd and shoot for the moon!
Was a quiet dinner with excellent service and great daily specials. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
I’ve dined at the restaurant before and went back specially for the cobbler dessert. Everyone in my party was pleased with their meals, sea bass, surf and turf special, beet salad, fried calamari, but we were all disappointed with the cobbler. They have changed the recipe.
I went there for my birthday with my husband, daughter, and parents. My father has a severe allergy to crustaceans, so he can never have anything fried in oil or containers that have fried shrimp. The staff fried all the appetizers for our table separately and my dad was finally able to eat fried calamari and fried fish again without any issues. The food was insanely good. It is our new favorite restaurant- and we are from New Orleans so we know seafood!
We had a smoked fish platter appetizer that was out of this world. Such a great place for dinner!
I would have given four stars, should have given two stars, but I gave 3. Overall, the food was good, not fantastic, but not horrible, it was just good. The restaurant was clean, the bathroom was clean, the employees as they walked by smiled and said hello... Ambiance was nice, was very quiet, maybe because we were there at 5 pm? My honey had the surf-n-turf and just loved it all...too me, it was a bit pricey for the quantity that you received. However, they just could not get my steak cooked right, yes, I know, it is not a steak place, however, I didn't think it would be that difficult to cook a medium steak. My steak was delivered to me as "rare"... I had to send it back... so they put my steak back on the grill, and the same steak was returned to me, which was fine, however, the steak was still rare. The server offered to take the steak back to have it cooked some more, but I felt very uncomfortable with the idea, of putting my steak back on the grill for a third time... I just didn't eat the steak, very disappointing for a $30 steak that I did not get to eat. I never said another word, paid the bill and left. The server should have discounted my meal...not asking for anything free, but after two times of not getting it right...and we could not wait, since we had arrangements to be elsewhere after dinner. I would give them a second chance.
Had not been to Tin Fish in a long time and I was asking myself why after dinner! Service was great, good was delicious and atmosphere was lovely!
Overall great experience and we will be going back again soon!
Exceptional food and over the top service! Truly loved everything we ordered from the New Zealand oysters to the tilefish to the pecan pie and tiramisu! We keep going back for the ever changing menu that never lets us down!
Best fish place in the southern suburbs
The Tilefish was amazing! My first time.
Tin Fish is a "downtown" expetience in the southwest suburbs. Wonderful fish specials along with their usual fish entrees. Service is wonderful. Perfect night out.
Best restaurant in the south suburbs!
Great food but service was poor. r restaurant was not very busy and took almost 45 minutes to get food. we were there for lunch during work, and it just took too long.
Great service and delicious food. Always enjoy meals at Tin Fish.
Good food tasty appetizers entrees were delicious. 👍🏻
Celebrating a birthday, superb seafood in the south suburbs. Delicious and artfully presented
We’ve been to Tin Fish several times in the past but everything seemed off this last visit. Service was slow, food was average and it was exceptionally loud for a weeknight. We all have a bad night I guess but we left disappointed.
Best Sea Bass anywhere! love this restaurant. Great service
One of our favorite local restaurants, reasonable prices and great fish.
Food was just ok. I had the Cajun Shrimp and it wasn’t very balanced in flavors and nothing like the Cajun food I have had elsewhere.
Second visit. We live over an hour away. Excellent food and Abby could qualify for Waitress of the year. Ask for her! Although everyone is very pleasant. Worth the drive
The food choices are very limited. The menu online did not match the menu in the restaurant. I crab bisque soup was not good. Not one piece of crab meat in the soup. It tasted like thick tomato soup. The buffalo shrimp appetizer was average.
The dinner portions are large but masked by all the pasta and rice. Less seafood in the dish. And that is what we are paying for.
Our recent visit with 4 of us was great! The place was quiet enough for conversation. The service (Abby!) was outstanding and the food? Yeah, it's why we keep coming back The Shrimp, Seabase, Salmon were all great. We will be back!
