Toku Modern Asian
I have been to Toku many times. On Monday I found the food to be mediocre. The service was the same. Also there was no coffee as the machine was broken.
Despite being a half hr late for our reservation, we still got seated right away, with no problem! Amazing as always!
Sushi was fabulous! Our waiter, Angel was professional, friendly and courteous. I would like him to be our waiter every time we visit.
They sat us at 9:30, our reservation was at 8:45... then rushed us to hurry up and order because the kitchen was closing at 10 (which is early for Toku, AND the restaurant was busy filled to capacity )
Was disappointed that I did not received seating with o bench on one side and chair in the other in the back. Instead the gave us the corner seat next to the register so it was bench on both sides. Asked if we could put a chair on one side but they said no because it’s a hazard. My friend does not like benches and prefers chairs so it was uncomfortable for her. Overall food and service is always good
Always a favorite and never disappoints! Went with colleagues from out of state and out of country and they enjoyed it as much as I always do. Perfection, from the food to the cocktails to the service to the ambience!
Everything was great went for lunch or go back for dinner one evening
amazing food and service!
Food and drinks were excellent and we enjoyed the evening .
Excellent food service and environment. We go there almost every week and never tire of it, even though now I (for one) am eating vegan!
Delicious food and great service!
The "music" is irritating - just boom, boom, boom. I asked the waiter to turn it off or lower the volume - he said no.
My boyfriend and I have been here several time and we request Orlando every time. He is attentive and kind and personable.
Love this place! Food Was amazing! Love The Cocktails!
The restaurant is beautiful! Very happening place! Accommodating to vegetarians. The edamame dumplings were outstanding! Tofu teriyaki was pretty good but I’ve had better. The avocado sushi was awful! It tasted like mush. The noodles had a weird aftertaste. Overall if you are looking for ambiance a great place.
It’s been awhile since I been there but once again we were not disappointed. Looking forward to another visit soon.
Waited 25 minutes longer for our reservation. Food was pretty good. Sushi was solid, and had some other good dishes, but the noodle and rice dishes failed. Service was great and drinks were spot on.
All the food and drinks were great as usual: you want the Toku tini,, crispy rice with spicy tuna, lettuce cups, Asian cesar salad, river stone bbq, rock shrimp, dumplings, pork buns. It’s all delicious and great for a celebration
The food is excellent and the food comes out very fast, but I was with my elderly mother. The aisles between tables were small to non-existent and as we were trying to leave, we were constantly blocked by waiters and servers. They should have yielded to us and let us out so other people waiting could be seated.
Also, the music does not fit the decor or the price. This is a very expensive restaurant but I could barely hear my friends over the music.
I've been here before on weekdays and it has been much better, so I guess the moral of the story is - don't go on the weekends.
This was our first time at Toku and we were not disappointed. Architecturally, the space is stunning and the interior is quite modern and attractive. Our wait person was personable, professional and efficient. Most of all, though, the food was delicious, attractively presented and very fresh. We look forward to our next visit to Toku.
Attending The Concourse De’ Elegance Event
I might be old fashioned but at Toku you couldn’t have a conversation, the music was outrageously loud. The food was good, service good .
Booming background noise seems to get louder every time we go .... please consider lowering the thumping bass do that diners can have a conversation ... thx!
Always very vibrant and loud but the food and service is excellent considering how crowded this restaurant is.
Great food and people watching, not the place to go for an intimate dining experience
One of my favorites!
Another amazing dining experience at Toku!
Always an outstanding dining experience. My friends and I love to go on dinner dates here.
Food was okay, but waiter convinced us to get fried rice with “everything in it”. What he failed to mention was that the fried rice is about $100 with everything in it. Not cool...
The service was outstanding. The food was great and the portions were good. Raman came in a huge bowl, would have been enough for a meal. The sushi was fresh. Good vibe and would definitely recommend.
The waiter was very rude, and not helpful.
His English was very poor.
Really enjoyed our Toku experience. Really good food, nicely prepared, friendly atmosphere, great service. Looking forward to the next time.
3/4 of the dishes we got were good, but not much better than many Japanese restaurants I've been to that are a fraction of the price. The fourth dish left a lot to be desired. Service was great and the atmosphere was nice. Overall, I expected more from the food for the price and the hype. I would probably try it again because the menu is huge and there are so many things I want to try!
Atmosphere and Food was outstanding - we will certainly return
Great food great service. The ambience is pleasant and staff courteous. Would highly recommend.
Great spot for lunch while shopping at the Americana. Not cheap. Also when we sat down, one of the plates at the table was dirty -- but they quickly brought us a clean one and they were super apologetic. Service was fast and efficient with no mistakes. We over-ordered but no problem -- they were more than happy to wrap up our food for us to take home. I will definitely go back there again. Friendly, pleasant staff.
