Lovely table toward the back. Great server and delicious food. Loved the mushroom soup, in particular.
The plantain salad was innovative and delicious, sea bass with crispy skin cooked perfect, the chocolate donut was ok with the apple strips nothing special as a dessert. Brother in law had a scrumptious tasty mushroom soup and creamsicle cake dessert which was delicious and different. $10 extra for the cheese potato ravioli that was delicious.
Good portion and presentation
Delicious food, excellent service, everyone showed up for their reservation. Pretty impressive, packed house
Ambiance, service and food was all very good. I do feel like the portions are a bit small and value could be better with larger portions. Overall I really enjoy this restaurant
Run don't walk to have a meal at Trestle. We had an early 5:30 reservation. Staff greeted us and seated us promptly. Staff all night was very courteous. The food was all very good. My wife second guess'd the chef on the use of apple with a chocolate donut. It was really well done, but the apple was not a great taste to my wifes pallet. The 1st course - Soup-Butternut Squash was superb taste and presentation. The salad with a balsamic vinegar dressing was very good. The entrees were Seabass or Steak. Both were well presented. We will go the next time in San Francisco. This was our second visit.
The service and the food or both exceptional, would definitely recommend this place
We love the amazing servers and staff at trestle. Never ever disappointed- this is a place we go at a minimum of once a month. Love love love
Not many choices, but they rocked what they offered, in all 3 courses!
Friendly/ attentive staff!
Fantastic friendly staff and great food. Accommodating delicious prix fixe.
Excellent service and the food was delicious! Will definitely be back to try new menu items.
Small intimate restaurant. Table was waiting for our group of six. Waiter explained the fixed price menu and was helpful. Staff was always there to fill our glasses of water. Food was very good. Ordered the pasta and grits and those were very good too. The food was very tasty, but not overstated. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
Always a fantastic experience at Trestle. The staff are friendly and the food is on point. The ever-rotating menu makes for a new adventure with each visit.
Amazing and delicious food and service. We will definitely come back!
Wonderful dinner experience for New Year’s Eve! Everything was on point, the beautiful decor, the service outstanding (drinks never got empty), the food delicious and timing of everything excellent. Could not have been happier and will be back again.
The food was amazing. The staff was attentive without being intrusive. We had a great time.
Great food, Great service, Great price for prix fix dinner in SF!!
Food was not good. Had a salad with poached egg and lardon bacon and the egg and bacon was stone cold. The tiny square of salmon on a smear of pureed squash was underwhelming. Dessert was meh. The music was loud and jarring and not conducive to eating nor to conversation. The whole meal was rushed and I paid nearly 200$ for dinner for three (including two glasses of wine and tip) and was in and out of there in an hour. Not a pleasant experience and not good value. Go elsewhere.
This is a well executed restaurant on every level. super talented kitchen, great service without feeling pretentious or stuffy, and really great ambience. I will return.
Really good food. Nice priced wine list. Great service
Very warm and inviting staff. Food was excellent and beautifully presented
Great food and service!
An upscale dining experience plus value right in the heart of SF.
Family in town
All of the dishes were very good but the beef was a bit tough. It was very a crowded space and very loud. Otherwise, we enjoyed our visit there.
I loved every part of this experience. The food was amazing and the ambiance of the restaurant was beyond my expectations.
On seating we were greeted by our waiter who introduced us the the peculiarities of Trestle and how the ordering worked. He as impressively generous with information and how it related to other places we've been. That level of personal service was followed with a meal that was impressive in quality, and complexity of taste. Between the four of us in the party, we each had the opportunity to try everything on the menu, and the least favorite was only such because all the others were outstanding. We'll be back!
Great meal...flavors were delicious for all items on the menu and service was outstanding!!!
It’s unfortunate that I make my own bd reservations and don’t get points for it. I hope the restaurant corrects this asap
Celebrated an anniversary there with my boyfriend, and hostess was incredibly kind and helpful. She greeted us right off the bat and our table was ready in seconds, despite having arrived a few minutes before our reservation. There were many wine options, and I quite enjoyed the pre-fixed menu as it feels a bite more like someone cooking you a dish they love rather than ordering something out. The dining room was the perfect size. There are big tables, and there is plenty of room between you and your neighbors. I had the trout and my boyfriend had the skirt steak. Both were amazing, though I was partial to the steak as the peppers it was served with were very tasty. We added a pasta dish to one of our dinners and split it, and it was well worth the extra money. Couldn't recommend highly enough!
The only reason I am giving this rating a Poor in service, because my group just in an instant paid our bill and one person was still not finished with their glass of wine, they asked us to leave because they needed our table for another group. I felt this was rude and unprofessional.
Such a treat to dine at Trestle! The food is always fresh, unique and tastes delicious. It’s also a great deal for a 4 course menu (can’t NOT include the pasta - haha!)
Came here in November and again in December with two friends. Service was very good. We all had the 4 course menu. 2 of us chose the beef as the main course while one chose the trout. The soup, salad and pasta were delicious. The friend who had the trout enjoyed it but those of us who had the beef found the sauce to be salty. Overall we enjoyed the dinner.
Our birthday gathering was really special, complete with a handwritten Birthday note. The food was FANTASTIC!! Highly recommend Trestle for any occasion.
Seasonal, creative, accessible menu that hasn't disappointed in the several times I've gone. I enjoy the playful twists on classic dishes, and honestly the price point is a steal.
Truffles at Trestle
We had wanted to visit Trestle for some time and when their truffle weekend was announced we were thrilled to get a reservation for four. The prix fixe menu doesn’t disappoint. There were 3 courses for $39 with two options each plus a 4th course for an additional $10 and shaved white truffles on any item for an additional $10. The service is exceptional and very friendly. We arrived early and left our wine with the hostess so we could walk around a bit. We were called when our table was ready. There isn’t a bar or a place to wait in the restaurant as it is small and compact. Corkage was $25. We found street parking on a Friday night. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and highly recommend Trestle.
Trestle is my first choice for a prix fixe meal that delivers creative tasty selections. I’ve eaten here multiple times for birthday & anniversary celebrations as well as a satisfying supper prior to an evening of theatre.
My husband and I ordered opposite choices on the fixed price menu, so got to sample all of the offerings that evening. The items that were good were so good (trout, both appetizers), but two items were not good, surprisingly.
The pork loin was not warm, tough and I thought the kale side added a weird flavor. Creme brulee dessert lacked flavor, and the compressed apple garnish was cold and lifeless.
It had been highly recommended so we will try it again sometime in the future.
It was good, not bad. Service was so good, never had to refill my own glass even though there was a bottle there. I mean the food was new and good but I didn’t think it was exceptional. For the price, a three course meal, in San Francisco, it was stellar. I left feeling full which was a concern since many reviews said they left feeling hungry. Bread was exceptional, ask for it!
