Another really great dinner at Via Uno. My wife and I shared everything but dessert as we wanted to enjoy all of it. Excellent Burrata and Prosciutto(Speck) with Figs as was the Beet, Arugala and Goat Cheese salad. The truly outstanding item as the Fiocchetti which is small sacks of pasta stuffed with Gorgonzola and pears in light sauce of butter and spinach. We finished dinner with dinner with a classic lemon shorbetto in a lemon and a chocolate Tartufo, which made us feel like we were back on the Piazza Navova in Rome. Can't do much better than that!!!!!
Food was pretty good but $$, tables packed way too tight together.
There was no butter or oil/balsamic vinegar offered when the bread basket came. We were charged $20 for corkage even though it listed corkage as $15 on the website...I should have called this out, my bad. I also said this was a very special occasion on OpenTable when making the reso's as it was our 38th anniversary and nothing...no offer of a dessert or even waiter to say *Happy Anniversary*. We were big fans of Via Uno from the beginning, but now, not so sure.
What I love most about this place is that it's the real deal. So authentic. I want to try it all! Fun that it's a short drive to El Granada for a stroll afterward!
WEnt in Valentine’s Day. Loved the food. Pricing was on par with the area. It was Valentine’s Day so very busy and a little chaotic with reservations and delays but they rectified the longer wait with free Prosecco. Family owned and operated and very Italian. I’d come back for the spicy radiatore dish. Mouth watering good. Also the spumoni ice cream cake. So good!!
From the moment we walked up to the front door to the end of the evening the staff was warm and welcoming. The food was spectacular and the atmosphere was charming. It’s a gem of a restaurant and we will definitely be back!

Excellent service by exceptionally welcoming and friendly staff. Authentic Italian cuisine with homemade pastas, delicious gnocchi, and several other scrumptious menu items to choose from. Great wine selections. Very busy, but also very accommodating, with ample room for larger parties. Noise level was a bit high, but also expected for a Friday night dinner service. Very impressed by Via Uno and will definitely come back!

Such an improvement with food and service
The “locals” 4-course Tuesday special was outstanding. Not only VERY reasonable, the food was delicious, and the service was second-to-none.
Went here with my husband for our date night. It was our first time here. Very nice place, you can come here with your friends, kids or spouse. The food was really good. I enjoyed the atmosphere since I love Italy! Of course I have been there many times... met one of the owners too.
Will be back! Highly recommended!!
Terribly run. Waited an hour and half for our food. Manager blamed us for ordering wrong. People around us were furious.
The waiter offered us a drink at the end but ended up charging us for it.

We are very sorry for this poor experience. We are 100% family owned as of late October, we went through a transition and were shorthanded, it's no excuse but can happen in the restaurant business from time to time. It is 100% against our philosophy to ever blame our customers on anything, perhaps it was a miscommunication? Again, sincerest apologies and we hope we can get another opportunity to showcase our improvements.
We went for my girlfriends birthday and it was perfect. Not crowded at all on a Tuesday. Staff was absolutely amazing. Drinks were great and food is stellar. Definitely get the Afogotto for dessert
Via Uno is always great if you love "real" Italian food!!! It is the only place we eat when we go to the Coast. We shared the Burrata e Prosciutto, Rughetta e Pera Salad, and Housemade Ravioli stuffed with spinach and ricotta cheese in a tomato sage sauce. Everything was perfect.
They were really busy. Service was good but both lasagna, bruschetta and meatballs were lukewarm. We didn’t complain and probably should have. Server kept saying octopus appetizer was coming but we had finished our meal and just told we were full and to cancel as it still hadn’t arrived. Both Pinot Noir and Pinot Grigio were nice wines and generous pours. Unfortunately probably would not go back.

Bathroom music was lively, but food had no flavor. We got the margarita pizza and gnocchi. It would have helped if there was salt, pepper, Parmesan, etc on the table to spice things up a.bit. But none of that was there and our waiter was hard to track down. There were lots of other people dining there, but I would definitely not recommend it! Oh - I almost forgot about the Caesar salad. It tasted overwhelmingly of mustard. Probably the worst I’ve ever had!

We were shorthanded previously and in transition, it's no excuse but can sometimes happen in the restaurant biz. I know what happened with the mustard and we are so sorry. We were trying to experiment with dijon mustard, and one of the line cooks accidentally added yellow mustard, which we agree is a big NO NO. We are very sorry.

The service was pleasant and attentive. However the food was sub par. It was about the same as supermarket prepared foods. The Brushetta was terrible. It was under ripe tomatoes on a flat bread soaked in vinegar and oil. The lasagna was mostly pasta. Barely any cheese and sauce. The meat was mostly on top. The pizza was bland with a tomato sauce that was flavorless. Had high hopes for the food but was disappointed.i wouldn't go back.

Visited this restaurant with a group of five for the first time. Waiter was friendly and pleasant, we were seated for our reservation quickly. Unfortunately, the fritto misto appetiser was barely even warm when it arrived - the edges were cold and the fried vegetables looked old and wilted. The grilled octopus was warm and tasty, but was literally one small arm/leg - at $16.00 an expensive and small snack. The first entrees were served five minutes before the last - we gave up waiting and had to start so that the first entrees would not get cold. My pasta dish was lukewarm on arrival. We also poured our own wine and had to ask for replacement flatware that had been collected between courses. These are individually relatively small things, but collectively a big disappointment that could be greatly improved by better management.
The service and the ambience were good, as was the location, but much the food was very bland. I have not had to ask for salt at a restaurant in ages, and we weren't the only ones- we overheard the table next to us saying the same thing. The food was hit or miss. The meatballs were great. The red sauce under them tasted like straight tomato sauce from a can. The risotto was well cooked but ridiculously bland, while the scallops on top were delicious. Crab pasta was pretty tasty. The mixed fried appetizer was well cooked and good.

Wrong food order delivery
We waited more than an hour for dinner after ordering (with a 4 year old and 7 year old) and were not communicated to along the way. Very dissapointing. Also, pasta dinner for kids (which did actually come out at around 45 minutes before ours past an hour) was about a 1/2 cup portion. They ate in about 3 minutes (not just because they were quite hungry due to the wait ) and were still very hungry.
What a great group of owners/servers at Via Uno. Authentic food served with friendliness.
I joked with my date that we were at the Olive Garden. The noise level was insane. The accordion player was too loud right in front which increased the noise level overall. Lots of families and kids-- really shocked. This was the opposite of a romantic dinner. We asked to change tables since the table next to us had annoying kids climb around like monsters.
We were a group of eight people. We all ordered different entrées and everybody said they thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Good bar selection too.
Incredible food, warm service. You feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. We have been before. We will go again.
The food and staff were wonderful. My husband and I heard about this place through a friend and we had the BEST service from Anna. The pizza and gnocchi was done perfect. We are coming back again soon.

A group of 4 of us went on a Tuesday night for the special 4 course meal. For $19.99, we had lentil soup or salad, creamy delicious risotto, salmon and for dessert, canneloni. All the courses were very good. The portions were on the small side but we all had plenty to eat. No one left hungry. There were some very reasonable Italian red wines on the menu. The chef came and spoke with us, which is always cool. All the wait staff had Italian accents. Can't wait to go back and try another Tuesday special.
Wonderful dining experience! The Carbonara and Brazino were amazing as well as the attention and knowledge of the staff/owners.

I took my friend for her birthday to Via Uno today. Was there last weekend as well for my sister’s birthday with the rest of the family. I’ve been here 6 times. They never fail.
We had carbonara as a starter. It was soooo delicious. For the main entree, we both had one of the specials of the day, the Corvina (baked sea bass). It just melted in our mouth. The dish was a great choice. We were so satisfied with the meal, decided not to have any dessert. Our server, Ana, brought us tiramisu with a lighted candle and sang happy birthday to my friend. That was very sweet of her. My friend and I both enjoyed the tiramisu. It was wonderful. Grazie!! We’ll definitely be back!
Phenomenal food and coastal ambience. The chef is from Roma, Italy and the pasta was the closest I’ve tasted to Roma. A must!
Bean and carrot soup was more a cup than bowl and was like runny baby food. Pear /Walnut/Cheese salad was a yucky wad of arugala (very little pear, walnut, cheese)...a joke. Everything except pizza is overpriced. Owner came out to adjacent table and laughed at other customers, including us. They just would not shut up. What a bunch of pretentious phonies. Not worth the price.
